I knew BJP will come. My personal opinion on west bengals state election and genuine unpopular opinions.
Idk how to say this without sounding biased. I'm mainly talking about this from a more liberal point of view. Dont get me wrong I'm also definitely into genuine left politics but I think why liberalism is more relevant in this case is because I've been to a few liberal Indians threads and so on. I'd imagine leftist to be the same in this case too because in most cases people who are leftist also have shared liberal values and so on.
Backstory: There's no denying in the rise of right wing politics everywhere in this world. See the world to me is a cycle. It's a spectrum of different politics, yes. But the cycle is also noticeable. The places that had more "Left views" are now "Right" and the places that had "Right views" are more "Left". So it's not surprising to see the same in India. Actually see how we technically (As in BD) never was truly and completely left? same for them. People would argue about CPIM and more but sadly to a lot of west bengalis say THEMSELVES it failed due to capitalism getting in the way. So it means there still was "Anti Left Views" and tbh? Who killed Ghandhi? (Ik He was a creep) but who killed him? The RSS master mind was involved in many ways. Whether it was to show the perfect indian as a "Hindu" redefining what it meant to be one there was always right wing plotics. But they stayed under the rug because let's be real.. there's a phase "United in Grive" not everyone was the same but then everyone from every place stood against the Brit colonisers together. For this affection of sort this got thrown under the rug for a long time. But it was still there. Hidden. And of couse after 26/11 and everything all this got out.
Why I knew?
It's quiet simple. This is the point where I genuinely seem biased. But from what I've seen BJP literally survives more in Hindu-Muslim rather than Hindu identity. There are many places which are hindu majority but you can't really see BJP there. Because of course BJP also has one religion, one state, blah blah stuff. But the main reason they are huge in north India is for the same reason. Most north indians have trauma with radical islamist idealogies (Which yes is true the same way mlst of anti muslim idealogies come from there) and that's why they kinda just use it as a victim card to justify their dogshit actions. Most muslims (Except of Kerela) come from the northern side. So ypu do the math where BJP will win. I'll say this again and again. Yes Bangladesh isn't the most secular country in the world but still is a billion times better. (Not being better than bjp is the bare minimum. I'm not flexing) you can literally see that even in reddit they have shanghi subs and they aren't really silent. They literally built an empire put of this and the wildest part? Even if you see Crazy Muallahs here nobody votes for them. Even if they do? They rarely win. They don't have the balls to openly do hindu muslim. If they do it muslims will be the first to call him out. But there? it's not something new it was always there and the fake news that India presented (Yes some are definitely true) just made sure BJP will be there.
To kinda sum it up? Hindu-Muslim made them win more. Of course TMC was corrupt but funniest part? the same shanghis who hated Shuvendru for being in TMC and saw the videos of him taking bribes now suddenly love him after he joined BJP. So please don't try to convince me that this isn't about religion. The hindu-muslim situation is SO bad that even between liberals/lefts and even LGBTQIA you'll see hierarchy in religion. I wish I was joking but the amount of fake libbis literally beliving in the fake rebranding of Bangladesh by Godi media was the big red flag. Because even between Lefts or apoliticals I saw Hindu-Muslim. Like i don't even know what to say! I promise I'm not putting labels! they say they are central left but still have a spft spot for BJP. idk how that even works! As for the LGBTQIA? I'll not act as if Hindu LGBTQIA and Muslim LGBTQIA don't exist. It's up to you to believe if they are true or not. But they self identify. So even there you'll see so many Hindu LGBTQIA supporting BJP and literally having a sort of genuine hate for muslims there. They'd put their Hindu identity over their Indians identity. Most literally don't care about muslims general. This isn't even something I made up! Go check in r/LGBTIndia they are admitting this. You don't even have to go to a different app! Just go browse reddit. After all this while having a muslim majority country beside West Bangal do you really think they wouldn't vote for BJP? I mean I'm not shocked dude.
