Another weekend, another trip to New Nurlan Uyghur (Flushing NY). This is my gf's favorite restaurant, so we go here often. My compromise is that if we return to a restaurant frequently, we have to order at least one new dish each time. This time, we have two new dishes!

New dish #1 was "chôchüre ravioli". This dish, which appeared to be a lamb dumplings soup, WAS FANTASTIC 🤤 (we've previously had "lamb ququre soup" from an Urumqi restaurant in Flushing, which was similar, but the "chôchüre" has my vote!)

New dish #2 was "cabbage vermicelli with beef". This was very good.

We also had "lamb polo", and nan (which we ripped up and put in the beef dish), but we've had these before.

I used Muse (a.i.) to read my Instagram food posts (which include addresses), and plot them on a map. This is just the focus on the Queens/Flushing area contained within 495, CIP, 678. These would be from 2018 to present , and represents 174 restaurants (230 visits).

I'm sure there are a great number of restaurants/food neighborhoods I've yet to visit, but I'm working on it, if there are any suggestions! The majority of the spots on my map are Chinese, with Korean in second place. My food interests are largely for Asian cuisine, but I'll eat almost anything 😁

I've had this on my wish list for years, but it very rarely shows up on ebay. However, thanks to ebay's saved searches feature, I was alerted to it being listed recently! The seller had it for listed for almost $500, however, which was a hard pass for me. Luckily, an international friend of mine found the same exact listing elsewhere for around $140, so I jumped on that one (he already has one) 😆

We went to a new restaurant that opened (in Flushing NY) recently, called Guldari. We ordered (as named on the menu/receipt):

Hot-stone bibimbap, bulgogi, soon tofu (with beef, shrimp, clams, mussles), and steamed egg.

Every dish was excellent. I don't really like to eat clams or mussels, but I never seem to have a problem when they're in a tofu dish (or seafood pancake). There's also something about white rice made in Korean restaurants that just makes it taste better than white rice made in Chinese restaurants (googling it says it's a just different grain of rice, with a different ratio of water). Even the banchan selection was really good, especially the mini potatoes... whatever the sauce/dressing was had us asking for more 😋

We recently went back to New Nurlan Uyghur Cuisine (Flushing NY) again (it's one of our faves), and ordered (as named on the menu/receipt): Cumin Mushroom, and Spicy Meat (beef) Laghman.

We've had the beef dish before (my gf has a habit of ordering what she knows she already likes), but this was our first time ordering the cumin mushroom (I like to try something we haven't had yet). It was sooooo good 🤤

The old being the Dragon Ball Z figures from 2000, and of course, the new being the Dragon Ball Super figures, available now.

For the old, Piccolo's base still lights up, 26 years later 😆 I have not attempted to pop open the bases of the others to change the batteries, however.

I really don't recall if I had ordered 7 meals back in 2000 to get all 7 DBZ figures, or if I was able to buy them individually (chances are an employee I knew hooked me up since I had worked there just a few years prior), but as for the new DBS ones, I bought 1 adult meal, 1 kids meal, and they let me buy the others for $2.49 each (they rang them up as soft serve cones, but usually they use a toy specific sku).

A few of these face masks are available individually on Ulta's website (US market, at least), and I believe all of them are available individually on YesStyle's website.

As far as I can tell, the 10 pack boxes are only available in East Asian markets (I don't know if there's a box for the Derpy, however). I had a heck of a time getting the boxes, though, since the East Asian retailers with the boxes don't ship to the US, and couriers in the region wouldn't ship to the US without proof that they're FDA approved in the US. Ultimately, my gf ordered the boxes from Tabao, and they went through a relay shipping service to get to me in the US.

With these added to my collection, I believe there's just one more Anua x KPDH item I'm missing (a silver serum with Mystery on the box, and I expect there will be a serum with Baby on the box, eventually).

I've seen a few posts that mention the Band-Aids and/or show the boxes, but I haven't seen anyone post what the actual bandages look like, yet. So here they are!

There was only one box - HUNTR/X is on one side, Derpy is on the other. There are 20 bandages, but not 2 of each. I only opened 1 box, so I don't know if it's the same exact selection in each (the box says 'design assortment may vary').

As I was walking around the toy aisles in Target, I saw a display on an endcap with a lot of puzzles in it, but it was this KPDH one caught my eye. It's made by Buffalo Games, and was just $4.99!

The Mets highlighted these 3 food items on their social media when promoting Korean Heritage/KPop Demon Hunters Night, so I decided to get them. They were: beef bulgogi gimbap (from TBD Gimbap's stall, only there for the weekend in the Fan Fest area), fried chicken rice bowl (from the Seoul Bird stall, in Metro Market), and fried chicken kimchi pizza (from Napoli's Pizza Co.'s stall, also in Metro Market).

All 3 were really good. The Gimbap was a little dry, but not choke-on-it dry. The rice bowl was flavorful, and the pizza was great 😋

I attended the KPop Demon Hunters night (aka Korean Heritage Night) at Mets Citi Field, and was able to get the HUNTR/X jersey. They highlighted some Korean menu items on their social media, but they weren't KPDH themed like they were at Yankee Stadium. They had beef bulgogi gimbap (TBD Gimbap), fried chicken rice bowl (Seoul Bird), and fried chicken kimchi pizza (Napoli's Pizza Co.). Aside from the giveaway KPDH jersey, I didn't see any KPDH branded merchandise or anything (Yankee Stadium had KPDH cups at concession stands). Mr. Met was dressed up as a demon Saja Boy, and Mrs. Met was dressed up as Rumi.

Kevin Woo (singing voice of Mystery Saja) performed a new solo song and Soda Pop. May Hong (speaking voice of Mira) threw the first pitch.

It seems like they get my order wrong almost every time I go to Tim Hortons, so this time, for the HP collab, I decided to install and use the app, figuring that'd make it easier for them (spoiler, it doesn't!).

I ordered 1 of each of the HP donuts (assuming they'd put them in a big HP box), 1 single mystery box donut so I can get a small HP box, 1 Patronus drink for an HP cup, 1 Golden Snitch with Timbits, and the wand stirrer.

I arrive 15 minutes later, and they hadn't even noticed my order yet. They immediately put the 4 donuts into individual mystery boxes, then grab a big HP box, and put 6 more donuts in it (mind you, I only ordered 5 donuts). They make the drink (not in an HP branded cup), put a handful of random Timbits in the Snitch (not the 10 caramel ones as advertised), and give me my order. I ask them where the wand is, and they don't even know what I'm talking about. So I show them the picture in the app, and they say they don't have it. Well, I paid for it, so they asked if I wanted something in place of it, and proceed to reach for a donut. Knowing the wand was $14.99, I asked for a second snitch (empty, $16.99 value), which they gave me.

Their Gryffindor donuts didn't even have the house emblem on them, so I went to another Tim's... no wand, no branded cups, and all 4 donut types had the Hufflepuff emblem on them. I went to a third Tim's later in the day... no wand, and no branded cups (also no donuts because they got rid of them, even though it was still 25 minutes until they closed).

I just noticed that the wand was removed from the app this morning.

I'm going to a 4th Tim's today to get the Forbidden Forest drink, and hopefully they have the HP branded cups 😮‍💨

So how has everyone else's experiences been?

I attended the KPop Demon Hunters night at Yankee Stadium, and was able to get the Rumi bobblehead. They also offered some 'inspired by' menu items. There was the KBap Bowl (beef bulgogi grab and go), Derpy's flowerpot chocolate cake, and Grape Healing Transfusion drink (vodka, grape transfusion mix, ginger ale). They also had KPDH cups at the concession stands (for soda, iced tea, etc). There wasn't really anything else going on event wise, but the starting line-up had the Mariners players 'dressed' as the demon Saja Boys, and the Yankees players 'dressed' in Golden jackets.

I was in Target browsing the toys and collectibles sections, and saw a shelf display for Spawn Q-Figs (first time seeing them in a store). There were 7 boxes on the shelf, so I decided to buy the one that was noticeably heavier than the others, since the Spawn figure appears to have the most mass. Luckily, it was a Spawn! For the blacklight picture, you can see the imperfection in the face paint (as if they touched up those areas). Every box in the case had that same date code and UPC, so there are no identifying features.

We recently returned to B2J Tasty Pot (Bayside NY) and ordered (as named on the menu): Five-spice beef. Spicy oil pickles. Braised beef soup. These are my pictures.

I'm thinking the veggie dish should've been called (_in english_) spicy oil pickled vegetables/cabbage instead 😅. Regardless of what it's called, though, it was very good. I liked the five-spice beef also. The braised beef soup was good, but there wasn't much beef, and what there was of it was in small chunks, not the large slices shown on the menu.

I photoshopped this cross-over event using manga panels from Naruto and DBZ around 13 years ago, and figured I should share it since I re-found the files on my PC just now. When I put it together, I just wanted to show how simple it would've been to stop the 'moon's eye plan' 😆
