I (18m) recently posted nudes (I deleted the post and it was hidden on my account) and someone I know claimed to have found it before I deleted it. My friends were saying I had thrown away my future and could never go to college or get a job because of it. I called bullshit on that and looked it up. It said that employers can't find that if it's not connected to the email you give them, without illegally hacking to get your IP address. It also said that I could be identified by tattoos or birthmarks, which I have neither of, or by unique backgrounds, but I was on a solid black blanket in the pictures, along with my face being hidden. My friends wouldn't take this answer and wouldn't shut up about me "throwing away my future" so I just stopped talking but they kept going on with bitching about me. Is there actually any reason for me to worry or are they just overreacting about it.

What are your thoughts on worshipping a god for a specific aspect outside of the major aspect they're associated with.

For example, I was hoping to begin worshipping Ares, but not for war or anything (maybe protection from war)(although I do think weapons are cool), but more for the aspects of courage and civil order. I'm trying to be more confident in myself and I use worship as a way to ask for help in my journey.

I'm an eclectic pagan (Norse/Germanic, Hellenic, and Celtic), and Halloween has always been my favorite holiday. Since it's that time of year, I was wondering if it's appropriate to still call it Halloween as a pagan. I know that the name Halloween originates from a Christian celebration pasted over Samhein, but it's what I'm personally more used to and I find it easier to pronounce (yes, I know Celtic languages were intentionally butchered by the Anglo-Saxons and that's why they're harder to pronounce from the spelling). Also Halloween has become so detached from Christianity that it's typically regarded as a secular holiday and more uninformed conservative christians call it a "devil's holiday" and refuse to participate in it. Hallowing also isn't specific to abrahamic or Christian practices so I don't see why they should get to take the word for the holiday.
