How do you clone a unicorn? My top sales guy is capped by language barriers and I need to expand.

I’m currently dealing with a "good" problem, but it’s becoming a massive bottleneck for my business and I could really use some advice from people who have scaled sales teams.

I have a sales guy who is a literal machine. He’s a full-cycle unicorn: he hunts for his own leads, does the outreach, and closes with a terrifyingly high win rate. Because our product hits a real pain point, he takes home a very fat commission check every month. He's happy, I'm happy.

Here is the catch: he only operates in the Spanish-speaking market.

We are now in a position where we desperately want to expand into other regions and languages (English, mainly, but open to others). The market is there, the product is ready, but my star player is walled off by a language barrier.

I’m facing a classic founder's dilemma:

Option A: Do I hand him a hefty budget, tell him to hang up the phone, and have him build, train, and manage an international sales department? (My fear: a great player doesn't always make a great coach, and I'd be losing my best closer in the trenches).

Option B: Do I leave him alone to keep printing money in his region, and try to find his exact clone but equipped with different "language packs"? If so, how do you even replicate a top performer's magic in a market you (or they) haven't tested yet?

I'd love to hear from sales vets or founders who have crossed borders and scaled beyond a single star player. How did you handle the language leap? All suggestions (or cautionary tales) are highly appreciated!

Voice agent slow on the first turns of a call, fast after — warm-up issue?

I'm testing some new features on a voice agent I built with Python, classic STT→LLM→TTS pipeline and I've run into a weird

latency issue that only shows up in the first turns of each call.

What I'm seeing: the first 1-2 exchanges of every conversation take

noticeably longer to respond (several seconds, 4000ms) than the rest of the

call — from the 3rd-4th turn onward, the same conversation flows fast

and normally(500-700ms). It's as if something needs to "warm up" at the start and

doesn't finish in time for those first turns, then settles down for the

rest of the call.

I'm also seeing a few seconds of silence right at the very start, before

even the first audio plays (which is pre-generated ahead of time, not

synthesized on the spot — so it shouldn't be slow).

The machine this runs on doesn't look CPU-overloaded while this happens,

so I don't think it's just a resources problem.

Does this pattern ring a bell for anyone (slow at the start of a session,

fast right after)? Where would you look first — some kind of warm-up

that needs to be forced before the first real interaction, connection

negotiation stuff at startup, something else?

Built my first landing page, but I hate the basic "Leave your email and phone" contact form. What are better alternatives?

Hey everyone,

I just finished building my very first landing page! The page itself is pretty complete: it explains the product, breaks down the features, includes a technical section on how it’s built, and clearly outlines the pain points it solves for businesses.

However, I’m really struggling with the lead capture / Call to Action (CTA) section.

Right now, I just slapped on the typical, basic form:

>

Honestly? I personally hate it. It feels very basic, rudimentary, and as a user, this type of friction usually pushes me away. It just feels too traditional and a bit intrusive.

My goal is to collect prospects' data so my sales team can reach out to them, but I want to do it in a way that feels natural, modern, and less off-putting.

My questions for you:

  • What are some good alternatives to the standard contact form?
  • Are there any interactive methods, tools, or UX patterns you use to capture leads without making it feel like an interrogation?
  • How do you bridge the gap between "interested visitor" and "sales team call" smoothly?

Any feedback, examples, or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Built a cutting-edge SaaS solving lost reservations. Looking for a dedicated Sales/Marketing partner (I have 0 sales skills)

Hi everyone,

I've built a fully functional SaaS designed to solve a massive, expensive pain point for local businesses: the revenue lost from unmanaged reservations and missed calls.

\*\*The Problem:\*\* Restaurants during rush hour and dental clinics with overwhelmed receptionists miss calls every single day. Every missed call is a lost reservation, a frustrated patient, and money left on the table. It’s a huge source of stress for business owners.

\*\*The Solution:\*\* I've developed a platform using cutting-edge technology that seamlessly handles all reservations, inquiries, and booking management 24/7. It acts as an always-on safety net, ensuring zero missed opportunities and removing the bottleneck of manual phone answering.

\*\*What I'm looking for:\*\* I am a pure technical builder with absolutely zero skills in sales, marketing, or B2B outreach.

I am looking for a dedicated, hands-on sales and marketing partner. I need a hustler who knows how to pick up the phone, talk to local business owners, handle outreach, and actually close deals. You handle the sales; I handle the tech and the product.

A hotel chain wants me to adapt my Restaurant AI Receptionist for them, but I'm skeptical. Is there a real need for this?

Hey everyone. I could use some advice from the professionals in this industry.

I run a SaaS that builds AI voice assistants/receptionists specifically for restaurants. So far, it's been working great—it handles table reservations, cancellations, and basic FAQs without issues, and my clients are very happy with the results.

Recently, a hotel chain reached out and they are pushing me hard to adapt my software for their hotels.

Here is my hesitation: I just don't see it clearly. Booking a table for a 2-hour dinner is a fairly simple, low-stakes transaction. But booking a hotel room for a week-long vacation involves a lot more money, expectations, and specific needs. To me, it feels like it requires a much more human touch, empathy, and nuance that an AI might not be able to provide yet.

Before I spend months building for a new niche, I wanted to ask you:

  • Is there actually a demand for AI handling phone reservations and guest inquiries in hotels?
  • Would you (as an owner, GM, or front desk manager) trust an AI with your guests' vacation bookings?
  • Is this specific chain just an outlier, or is this a widespread pain point?

I really appreciate any feedback or reality checks you can give me. Thanks!

Gracias!

I built a SaaS that stops restaurants from losing reservations to missed calls. The tech is solid, but I have 0 sales skills. How do I find my first client or a sales partner?

Hey everyone,

I’m a technical founder and I’ve spent the last few months building a SaaS specifically for restaurants. The problem I’m solving is simple: restaurants lose a ton of money and reservations simply because they are too busy to answer the phone during peak hours or closed hours.

I built an automated voice/booking system using cutting-edge tech that handles these calls, answers FAQs, and secures the reservation without any human intervention. The product is fully optimized, tested, and works beautifully.

Here is my problem: I have absolutely zero sales skills.

I know restaurant owners are incredibly busy and hard to reach. I don't know how to cold call, walk into a restaurant to pitch, or get their attention without sounding like just another spammy agency.

I am willing to give the software and setup completely for FREE to my first client, asking them only to cover the raw maintenance/server costs, just to get a case study and prove the value in the real world.

I’d love your advice on a few things:

  1. How do I find that very first client? What is the least annoying way to approach a restaurant owner with this free offer?
  2. How can I find a sales-driven co-founder or partner? Are there specific platforms or communities where technical guys like me can meet sales guys who want a good product to sell?

Any advice, harsh truths, or suggestions are highly appreciated. Thanks!
