my mind just flows away every time i start thinking like “ok we should lock” and i couldnt focus

hi i hope this post doesnt get hated but i got a chance to live and study in the us. im just a high school kid. i really really want to know are people here nice? especially in high schools when there are new students do people actually bother to make friends, or they just sneer and let them alone for the year? please tell me everything you know

hi guys so im just a high school kid in asia but now i got a chance (although it may be a little financial difficulty but it still works) to live and study in us. i want to know why do u all want to move there?

im a us citizen high school kid living in asia for my whole life except when i was born. my studies arw failing in my recent school so my parents are trying to get me to go back and study in the us.
my own school in my country is like ranking #3 in town while the us school my parents interviewed me with is also ranking around that range in the country. definition of “failing studies”: i was like the lowest 80% of my school but since my school is ranking high so i reckon i aint really that bad. i dont really miss anyone or anything that much except my family. i have my mom and dad and younger brother and i feel so bad having to tear up our happy family. im scared this all will fade because if i decide i’m going, then i have to be alone like 3 years and possibly college too. im scared to regret all these too. but im scared to regret not going too, because not only am i failing at studies, social life in my school was not happy at all too. my only challenge is leaving my family and some visa, housing issues. moreover, ofc im really scared of the future unknown life i will have if i made this decision. im scared i’d regret and also scared i will regret if i declined this new life. what should i choose?? pleasee everyone please give advice thanks

i think the most luring thing for scrolling is that i need to use the app (eg. instagram, wechat, facebook) and among sections (like reels or chats or settings) when i for eg i need to use chats in instagram i jump to reels in the homepage and it lures me.

recently i’ve learned how to use Guided Access in ios for some of my games and i thought can we actually set up some automation or smt that can physically block us from “those sections” of the app?
anyone have experiences of that?

hello guys i am a japanese and spanish learner, and i am looking for free apps like fluent u and lingopie which allow me to learn through subtitles of tv. i dont need it to really be completely-free, a non-subscription would do (non-subscription but still allows me to use this main function properly) because i’ve tried fluentu and i think it needs to subscribe or else you wont be able to use anything. i’m downloading lingopie tho.

so theres my younger brother (we will call him Sam here idk) in grade 6 and my mother (mom) in mid fourties

the story is sam has an important exam in about two weeks but he thinks its unimportant and my mom tried to help him prepare for that
but sam hates studying and he finds mom annoying for nagging him to study or even physically pulling him to the study desk and lecture him. so now their relationship is so strained in the following terms:
sam to mom: annoying, does not want to study. wants freedom!
mom to sam: im helping him out the exam is super important wish he’d have some future planning
add on factors: he does NOT communicate. not saying he doesnt have communication skills, but he refuses to talk things out and thinks communicating is unnecessary
*and also he games (roblox, brawl stars those) and watches youtube shorts as his “freedom”. he does NOT have ANY future planning or thinks about what he should do

now the climax- his school has been giving him an ipad and since he is leaving the school to another school next year, his recent school is unlocking the administration controls on his ipad. in a few days, he will get a completely all-to-himself ipad he can enjoy so he will have even more factors to avoid studying

what im worrying is now sam and mom is going farther and farther apart they wont communicate. mom is gonna be disappointed and they might end up like those broken families out there

not sure if its ok to ask here but here it is:
soo i was wondering whether if there is an app which can automatically lock/ back to lockscreen with a timer? for example i set the app timer into 15 mins and after 15mins no matter what i am doing the phone will automatically lock until it is re-opened
(it’ll be better if there can be a stats part that i can look)

guys i have a problem i know how to revise and i know all the concepts and how to do the exercises and stuff but the thing making me lag behind is that my speed is super slow. i tried timers and stuff but for some reason i think slowly and react slowly. i do everything so slowly that it affects my grades, so im thinking if y’all have tips in how to improve the speed in studying??
