(Interesting trope) In-Universe censorship

SCP-2521 (SCP Foundation): creature who steals every piece of information about its nature, as long as the information is expressed in textual or verbal form, even if it means kidnapping those that have potential info on it (though it has no ill intentions seemingly). Because of that, nearly everything about it is registered by ideograms and pictures.

SCP-096 (SCP Foundation): The Beast gets triggered by any and all viewings on its face on either Photos or Videos (though drawings seem not to affect it), as such there are to be absolutely no video surveillance or optical tools of any kind inside SCP-096's cell and instead Security personnel will use pre-installed pressure sensors and laser detectors to ensure SCP-096's presence inside its containment cell.

The Void Century (One Piece): Only Imu and the five elders are allowed to posses knowledge of what happened with any others being immediatly considered a high profile target

(tragic trope) "Despite everything that you have done for them, they still hate you"

Aka when the Hero has done so much for his people only for them to still betray him

The Protagonist (Pokemon Legends Arceus):  you single handedly stopped the rampaging Pokémon and filled up most of the Pokedex for these People only for you to be exiled from the town as the random NPC you helped start shit talking you.

Superman from Superman (2025): Has spent 3 years protecting the world and 1 video recovered through questionable means is more then enough to get the world to turn on him

Spiderman (Marvel): As Green Goblin himself said "Despite everything you've done for them, eventually they will hate you." Is constantly labelled a menace despite all of his heroic deeds

Joan of Arc (Real Life): This one just pisses me off whenever i think about it. She achieved multiple victories for france during the hundred years war and what does she get in return? Her king refused to pay her the ransom after being captured by the english, is labelled a heretic and burned at the stake because Religion said "Woman bad". Unbe-fucking-lievable

About the tragedy

Am i the only one that wishes to see the full extend of how it affected the other countries, like maybe a movement that is fueled by prejudice towards Ultimates coming into existance or how the rest of the world had to rebuilt`.

It would have so much potential for spin off games or books

For those that have seen it: What do you think of the Treasured Engines story from the Brendam Engine?

For those unaware, its an RWS Take on Sodors Legend of the Lost Treasure

My headcanon Ryan

Basis: GNR N2/1

Original GNR Number: 1616

Build Date: 1921

History before arriving on Sodor

Ryan first awoke in the workshop on a small branchline that was run by both the GNR and the GER where he was at first confused before immediatly freaking out that he was actually alive when he was being welcomed by GER Y14 1020 (Aka Grant in my AU) and GER R24 337 Thatcher. Eventually however 1616 would calm down while he overheard Thatcher and Grant discussing potential names for him with Thatcher teasingly saying "He looks like a Ryan". Once out of the Workshop 1616 would quietly work with Grant, Thatcher, a Gresley one off named Maria, GCR Class 8K Geoffrey (who was bought second hand from the ROD) and a Raven A2 named Rinkah.

Eventually one time Thatcher would adress 1616 as Ryan which he subconciously responded to and immediatly he realized what just happen, from that day 1616 was named Ryan. In 1923 after the formation of the LNER 87546 would arrive at the line as a temporary replacement while Maria was away for repairs. 87546, who did not learn from his mistakes even after being sent away from sodor for causing the Crovans Gate incident was still a manipulative bully managed to convince the controller of the line to keep him as a permanent member while also blaming all of his mistakes on Thatcher, which only worsened the situation for the R24.

After a near accident with some explosives Ryan and Thatcher would briefly be in relief only for the controller to arrive and get into another Argument with Thatcher, having reached his breaking point Thatcher would snap back and lash out before one workman noticed one of the explosives was not secured properly and was about to go off, hearing this Thatcher would take that truck and get it as far away from the others as possible with Ryan giving chase in an attempt to stop him when the explosion set off. When Ryan awoke he found himself in the aftermath of the explosion being badly damaged, Thatcher however did not make it as Ryan saw his remains infront of him. Traumatized by what happened Ryan immediatly blamed 87546 for being the cause of Thatchers death and would always get into a fight with him with 87546 finding what Ryan was doing as great enterainment and would only add fuel to the fire.

Ryans relationships with the others would also suffer as he argued with Maria when she tried to help him, starting to even yell at her. Ryan become more sarcastic, aggressive and brazenly condescending at times, not taking the others seriously when they tried to get him to open up. Eventually it would reach a breaking point when 87546 called Thatcher a "silly tank engine who didsn't know any better", causing Ryan to snap and derail some express coach he was shunting for 87546 , blocking several of the station lines and badly damaging them. After the mess was cleaned up the Controller and Ryan would get into an argument, the two yelling at each other with Ryan saying "FINE, i don't want to be here anways!!" when he was told he was going to be sold to a workshop before Grant took him there.

Once at the Workshop Ryan would start to reflect on what he did and start hating himself for what happened. Eventually Ryan would be bought by Sir Topham Hatt.

Some facts:

Ryan keeps his GNR Number after arriving on the Northwestern

Unlike in Canon Ryan and Thomas were friends from day one as Ryan saw a lot of Thatcher in Thomas and are totally bros with each other

Ryans friendship with Thatcher and Grant was similar to Jax, Ribbit and Kaufmos friendship from the Amazing Digital Circus

Ryan was actually painted into his TV series purple in 2015 to promote Sodors legend of the lost treasure and when the Movie was screened at Tidmouth sheds Ryan tried to act like the dynamite chase scene didn't bother him only to say it bothers him a lot when the aftermath happened where TV Series Topham yelled at TV Series Thomas (though he does understand why everything in the movie had to happen, he just doesn't like to think about it)

He has his own set of coaches called Camilla and Elise who he gets along with greatly

Whats a fan intrepation of a canon character that you dislike

For me its BufferstoNowhere version of Ryan aka Charlie, i really don't understand why he is Dudley 2.0, a villain that is extremly jealous of Thomas and wants to take everything he has while also working with Sailor John, then again its implied he is not engine 1014
