we have 1 day gap for my intro to stats class and it is GRUESOME - I am really bad at maths. Our professor barely teaches 1 problem and moves on and the problems we get in the exam are not straight forward, we have to figure out what test to use. We literally follow different formulas besides the one given in tbs so referring to textbooks for explanations is hard because they keep using their formulas to explain it making it all so confusing

The main issue is I am having trouble remembering the formulas, because every step has 1 formula, etc. (ie. ANOVA, T-test)

I have -
Chi-square test, Mann-Whitney U test, Wilcoxon Signed Rank test, Kruskal-Wallis test, Friedman’s test, Scatter plot; Correlation methods: Pearson’s correlation, and Spearman’s rank correlation, Z-scores; t-test – One-sample t-test, independent samples t-test, Paired samples t-test; One-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), Range, Quartile Deviation, Average Deviation, Variance, Standard Deviation,  – Bar graph, Pie chart, Line graphs, Histogram, Frequency polygon, Frequency curve, Ogive; Measures of Central Tendency: mean, median, mode – calculation

Literally any and all tips will be appreciated

so im an athlete and I recently started uni and the uni I go to is incredibly focused on academics (ie. 85% attendance mandatory, graded assignments 1 month and semester exams the other month for like 4ish months straight, etc.) My main issue is I have practice everyday except Monday's and my uni ends at 5pm. By the time I come home and finish any assignments it's already 7 and I come back from practice at around 9ish-10pm. My coach has this thing of "if u wanna make it to internationals, you have to practice for atleast 3-4 hours everyday consistently" which is probably true but I cannot really fulfill that and he keeps saying to me and my parents that he gave up on me and will not focus on me anymore because I am not putting in the "effort" (which I am to the best of my ability I have to go from 9-5 for classes and finish assignments by 7 then immediately leave for practice till 10pm) which is insane because the only reason I took this to long-term is because he kept telling my parents ill become the next great thing. Above that he wants me to work out and I know even I need to work out but I literally cannot find the time to do my actual work how can I fit in workout sessions in between + because of all this I am really stressed and when I am stressed I don't really eat a lot which is pretty dangerous if I have to work out alongside that

The thing is since Thursday I haven't gone for practice and it's Sunday now and I kept telling my parents I will go but I am honestly so tired. I think it also comes from being unable to have the same performance (aka it's going down) and I get so demotivated from that and I am honestly in just a huge slump. I am so overwhelmed from all directions and there is absolutely nobody to talk to and I just have to deal with this all alone and I don't know where I will go with this. Please give advice on how to overcome this and gain motivation

so if you haven't read gun-it's apology already, I would highly suggest a read-through because its one of the rare apologies where you can genuinely feel some sort of apologetic behavior through the text. But mainly, not only did he admit to everything - he shared context over it all.

The main topic for this post is him mentioning how he was so over the edge and paranoid because of saesangs. Specifically, how they tagged his car and was getting his live location. If this happened to him, there is a high probability it has happened to his members as well or they are at risk of this happening to them. The way that their own company knew about this but did not take ANY action while for this situation they took action less than a day by terminating his contract really shows the company's priorities. And the thing is, it's probably many other companies as well. The idea that such behavior is "let off" by companies who are supposed to be protecting their artists really sets precedent towards more saesang behavior at a higher level. The fact that this is a "normality" is insane and the worst part about this is that not a lot of idols can speak up about this because those obsessive fans tend to bring a lot of money but at what cost? The fact that a member had faced intense paranoia or even had to go through that experience should receive mental health counseling at the very least but its so crazy how the company didnt even do that let alone take any action. I am really curious to hear your opinions on this from saesang behaviors to company's role because it is so insane that such things exist especially in a democratic country where law and order presides over all.

I was also pretty intrigued to ask how you guys feel about him leaving and do u think he deserved it??? I personally felt like considering the circumstances, a sudden contract termination without explanation from the company and having to wait for the idol themselves to tell the story is insane - and considering the context of the clips, etc. I cant help but wonder if he even deserved it all like a hiatus or something imo would have been more than sufficient and the thing is the company took this stance after the hate from k-fans over the past day and they terminated his contract without even trying to explain the fans the context of the clips which I find pretty weird because if fans still hated him for it after it was explained I can understand him leaving the group but leaving it at a blank space made me so confused. I think the main reason I probably feel like this is because most of the Kpop idols who have committed far worse crimes have barely gotten a slap on their wrist and continued on to have a successful career. I also saw a tweet about how Kpop standards should not be held onto rock bands (idk if xh is considered as rock in particular) but how do u guys feel about that statement, imo its pretty shifty depending on how the band is marketed but idk

They have this show called blood diary (somewhat loosely connected to their lore) and basically certain members come on here and discuss cases involving crime or supernatural stuff (?) and one of them have a "fake" case so they are supposed to guess who has the fake case. The one im referring to specifically is ep.9 with Sunghoon, Jake and Ni-ki

So ni-ki talked about the burari case and it's horrifying to say the least and as an Indian, I remember the reactions and even the investigation initially around it - it was a lot going on.

One issue I had was how fans were commenting "oh my god he knows this case" or oh my god he knows the Indian fandom exists, etc. and while I am not trying to dismiss the excitement of fans I also wish the real cases were talked about or at least some sort of sympathy? But I know this is just a me thing because obviously at the end of the day they aren't a crime podcast or anything so the viewer fanbase for these videos are obviously different so the reactions will also be different. It just got me a bit like ???

My main issue is the sensitivity of dealing with the case. Again maybe it's because I am Indian and this is also a comparatively recent case (2018) and I feel like anything especially involving children, families, etc. should be dealt with very sensitively - I really wish the producers take account of what cases they talk about and how they write about it. I feel like involving a case like this in this sort of format of a video kinda felt disrespectful?? if that makes sense. I feel like if they are going to involve real cases then they can instead dedicate an allotted time just for that and discuss around it because it gives alot of respect around the case and the victims of it. I think there are multiple other ways or formats they can play "mafia" or "imposter" instead of doing it half-baked like this

I know I am just being dramatic but I wanna know ur opinion on this, how do you guys feel about it? (ps. I really wish any non-Indians to not comment on whether the case is truly "sensitive" or not especially without educating themselves on what it is about <3)

im a first year bsc psych student and I genuinely am lost amongst all the classes

I don't know how to study, if the entirety of the book/books (because they have like 3-4 recommended books) will come for exams

most of them don't share ppts aswell and we aren't allowed to take pictures so how do I go about it? I am from a non-science background so anatomy and statistics are especially hard

Personally, I like the song. I was quite surprised to go on twitter to find out people hated it (which didnt make alot of sense to me with their reasonings tbh but twitter has always been toxic. I didnt keep up with his solo announcement and its following promotions if any so I am not going to comment on if his promotions or rather the company's created any buzz or not, I found out through twitter today and I watched a clip of his song through a hate tweet and I was like that's actually a pretty good solo debut song. And I listened to the rest of the song and it was pretty good.

Ride or Die - It was a very solid song. I won't say its the best (yet) but from the first listen itself it sounded pretty easy going as in within the first listen you can tell its a well produced song. My only issue is that when he was pronouncing English words I could barely make out what he was trying to say which kinda threw me off a bit (please don't attack me for this its just that in general whatever language, its important to have a crisp communication to let the listeners now what it is they are saying). I know he is Korean and it is possibly hard, etc. so yeah I don't want hate to be brought onto this one opinion (not trying to hate on this genuinely its just something that I take a personal problem to)

Aside from that, it sounds very ENHYPEN coded, like I am not just saying that - its just the song itself and the concept of it looks and sounds like how ENHYPEN also does and I personally think its a very cute parallel to those who enjoy Evan and Enhypen and want to listen to their songs back to back (in a good/positive way). Also is it just me or did it give Chase Atlantic vibes lol, im a huge fan of them and I remember thinking they should cover this song or collab because that would be sick.

Overflow - An amazing bside. Gave me keshi vibes like hell and heaven so it went straight to that playlist, I love his voice on this really hope he continues with this genre of music because he suits it a lot. Its such a well-produced track, it honestly tops the original title track for me, maybe I am biased on this lol but I love songs like this - I can literally listen to it anywhere and the atmosphere of the song somehow always changes for me

so the groups from iconic by mistake song - lsfm, illit and katseye had a remix of all 3 of their (actual) group songs aka pinky up, its me and boompala and its interesting to say the least

don't know why boompala was even selected first of all when celebration is right there + the remix sounds like they decided to mute the audio and mix it purely by guessing because it sounds so off putting at times like not saying it doesn't have remix potential but rather whatever potential it has got stripped away, put in a blender and had a 10 foot pole distance from each song because the blender broke half way through very oil and water vibes

also while we are at this, what's your opinion on iconic by mistake - either the song or how the artists executed it, choreography, mv whatever it may be

I was actually pretty content with bgr branch for bsc psychology that's what I always wanted but I got the call letter for an interview for ramachandra which is an extremely good uni but its offline interview so I would have to go to Chennai and attend it which isn't a problem as I am from Chennai but I would miss the actual first day of my classes

im actually stuck on what to do especially with these new rci regulations

is there any good libraries or study centers in Bangalore?? I am okay even if it's paid preferably either in ecity or bannerghatta road. I used to study in this library called Al Mankhool and that was the only one I was okay with, so if there is anything even remotely similar to that im genuinely okay.

I cant really study in cafes or any environment where people talk I just need a clean and quiet library to work with

HOLYYY I have watched most of Kpop groups and their performances and their mics were on and they were ready to devour the stage!!

I think for the longest time this is what I was missing, not saying it was never there I just never saw it till now and im so glad I did as my respect for these artists went through the roof.

From what I watched, the stage presence and crowd interaction were so peak. One of my favs in this was ADP and CORTIS I have always loved their stage presence but every performance they always manage to top it. CORTIS especially with their YCC song like it was insane, I love how all members are enjoying the stage so well.

Meovv did so extremely well, their songs always hit and the members are so damn talented and their performance was really good. Aespa being aespa, literally hit after hit and the crowd responded. The members looked like legit cgi dolls and they sang even better than the original cd version.

BND also performed, and when have they ever let down honestly. I really love their songs and the members performed so well at the festival it was insane. From start till the end they only increased their stage presence

Fromis_9 queens also performed and they were amazing. I really wish they keep getting more and more popular because they deserve it and speaking of that even KiiiKiiii performed and they were so great aswell. So so incredible to see such good performances from them.

PSY like do I even need to say it?? He is 48 but gave the stage presence and vocals that did not match that at all.

Also last but not the least, Taeyang from BIGBANG although he was solo he did perform a few BIGBANG songs (fantastic baby and bang bang bang was so good) - especially bang bang bang I think that's the loudest crowd I heard but that's something I hear every time bigbang pulls up with this song because atp it is crowned as the national hype anthem of k-pop

Besides k-pop artists, there were a few I listen to who were SO good!!

AKMU - Guys if you have time you should check out their performance because it's so amazing <3 Dinosaur and Nakka being so well received like that's the 2 queens right there. I honestly expected nothing less from the national duo - this was one stage that I didnt skip to the songs and even listened to their speeches because they make it so fun and enjoyable every minute of it

H1GHR MUSIC - If you guys listen to k-hiphop or watched SMTM you can recognize some of their names. I like mainly one artist from here, BIG NAUGHTY whose music is absolute peak and he sings and performs so incredibly well and he did the same for that festival aswell. Aside from him, they overall brought so much energy to the stage especially with my favorite song from the H1GHR album "The Purge" and they also performed a remix of VVS which was so goated.

I’m currently a minor and my parents don’t really wanna go through the hassle of changing from a minor to major account later so they told me to go to the bank and formalise the process after I turn 18 but by that time college would already start

Do classes commence directly after orientation and how long does it last?? Also can you guys please brief me about what to bring to the orientation and otherwise for classes and stuff like my laptop, etc. Like I am completely clueless on this

I personally hate this less than 2 minutes song trend. There are songs that are okay to be within 2 minutes but that doesn't mean all songs must be under the 2 minutes mark. An example of this is TNT by cortis and Celebration by le sserafim, both these songs have so much to work with but they decided to cut it to 2 minutes for lord knows what reason. I don't know if this trend is for it to help with charting, or cater to people who have no attention span but it has to stop. Like I get songs like new jeans or round and around to be less than 2 minutes but why are they incorporating a few cases like this for every song.
And fans quote the remixes that will come out when people say the song is really short, I feel like if the remix can be longer, more well-liked because it is more cohesive then why not release it as the proper title track?
I don't know if katseye can be quoted on this but pinky up was legitimately such a banger like I loved the dance break, the verse and the pre-chorus perhaps even the chorus to an extent but I don't understand how we can go from godly pre-chorus to 'pinky up' in a robotic voice like cant they give the song to ease into it like it sounds so weird from it to go from one thing to another within seconds

How is bsc psychology at PES in regards to profs, courses, etc.? I heard the academics are rigorous but things like attendance is comparatively lenient? Also I am hearing so many mixed reviews about how the classes are, etc. Literally any info on how good/bad this major is will be appreciated!
