I was told if I was upper middle class, I can just fuck it and try animation, no matter how unstable.

I've been wondering about this for a bit now. I told someone that I wanted to get into 3d animation and they said it's gonna be really hard. But then I told them my parents are upper-middle class and then they just said it's gonna make it a whole lot easier, which I personally do not believe. Just because u have money it doesn't mean your career in animation is gonna get easier.. is it? Idk im still in school and i don't really know much.

Edit: the last part of the title was cut off but i was meant to say "no matter how unstable the economy is"

can i get some constructive criticism on my animation

middle school just started again and i'm burned out. I just figured the id finish this and move on but i need some genuine reviews. Btw it's edited cuz it's on youtube. So just focus on the first 30 seconds of the animation.

I suck at lighting, and modeling if u couldn't tell by the cage kingers in.

Maybe cuz google forces us to use it on every single search?

Most people don't even know how to turn it off. BUT, here's a tutorial

on every single search just add an -ai at the end.

My macos is freezing constantly.

Specs:

2023, 15 inch, 8gb M2 macbook air. I have over half of my storage remaining. I'm on the latest Tahoe update.

I don't use it for heavy duty activities. Just mainly using social media or scrolling, or playing games.

A long time ago, I fixed this issue somehow (I don't recall how) but it's beginning to happen again.

My main browser is opera gx.

This mainly happens whilst watching YouTube.

Heres what happens:
When I scroll youtube shorts, or really just open youtube on opera gx, it either crashes, or just freezes. Crashing is rare, and the spinning wheel happens and i can't use opera gx at all or sometimes not my mac at all.
Most commonly though, it just freezes. I can still open any websites, but the youtube video or short doesn't play and is stuck on the wheel (Not the cursor wheel, the YouTube wheel, or it just freezes with no wheel). My cursor is unlocked, and I can type or respond to things in reddit or any other social media apps. After a couple of seconds or sometimes minutes, it unfreezes. During the freeze, I can't change my volume, or my brightness. I can use spotlight though.

I don't know what changed, it just started doing it. It didn't start happening after I updated too, just overnight I think.

Any help would be heavily appreaciated!

They're missing the point

its kind of a rant so bear with me

We don't hate ai because it's a "soulless machine" (although it is). We hate it because ai "artists" don't use their brains that their parents so generously gave them. If being an AI "artist" is just writing a prompt to something and the ai does the actual generating for you, then I think it's safe to say you have the same skills as a 2nd grader. The whole point of life is to learn and improve your skills and try doing new things. Art is a great example of this. If the AI is going to do 95% of the work for you though, then I don't think you can say that you're so creative and talented because that's just lying. It's equivalent of saying to someone to go climb mount everest and back with nothing but stick, and then telling the public that you did that exact thing, when all you did was tell somebody that. There's no skill what so ever.

I'm convinced that the people who actively defend ai and pay a quarter of their monthly salary for ai are just coping because they're just lazy and don't want to put in actual time and effort.

And they always seem to dodge the statement that ai is actively increasing prices and removing clean water to people. But I'm sure they'll just come up with an excuse and say it's a good thing that people can't afford things anymore and that people are dying, cause that's what their best at.

I see so many posts that are just so stupid that I sometimes tell myself that it's just them being satire and they don't actually like ai that much.

Us actual artists actually put thought and deeper meanings into our work. All ai "artists" do is cope with the fact that you couldn't actually learn anything as a kid, so now your stuck with your only solution which is to have something else do it for you.

10M Dollars, but you must beat 150 gamers from any game of your choosing.

A genie offers you a deal. You can instantly get 10 million dollars, tax free, no questions asked.

The catch is, you must beat 150 completely random gamers at any game of your choosing. They could either be really experienced at the game you chose, or be completely naive to what the game even is. They will have at least 10+ hours on any game(s). The game you choose has to be a game where you can fight and defeat other players. If you lose even once, you must pay a debt of 5000 dollars.

Do you take the offer, and if you are, what game are you choosing?

You are offered the best life you could possibly get, but 5 times a month you must endure the most grueling and agonizing pain you have ever felt.

You are given a button, that when pressed, will give you the perfect life, 500,000 dollars a week (No questions asked by anyone, and tax free). Basically, you would receive what most people would consider a paradise. You can choose to be famous or not, depending on your life style.
But, 5 times a month you must experience for a full 10 minutes the most agonizing and painful experience of your life. These 5 happen all at random within the 1 month range. You will feel every last bit of it. You will feel the bones deconstructing right underneath your skin, your flesh contorting, your lungs getting pierced by your rib cage, everything in your body just starts getting morphed. It can go as far as bending reality itself just to torment you. You can not die while this is happening. After the 10 minutes, you will go back to your original self. You will remember the feeling of everything happening, but everyone else who saw what was happening to you will completely forget about what happened.
You can never get used to the feeling, as the deal physically restricts you from doing so.

Is it worth the mental trauma?

13 years old. Is this test animation ok?

I just wanted to quickly showcase something I made.

obviously i'll get better (possibly when I grow up too).

You can't really say much with just one animation but I don't have the renders for the others rn.
Am I doing ok for a 13 year old? I spent like 2 hours on that animation I think

Animation content creation question

The industry is absolutely shit right now. Should I try uploading like animation content on youtube or something? At least is it easier than trying to get a job at a company? 3d animator btw.

WHAT?????!!

For context I just joined and left a game and I was asked if I wanted to take this survey. I said yes, and it asked me questions like where do I live, what language do I speak and eventually it got to this.

We know from the wrongside out animated version, that the prototype put poppy in her case. Why did poppy say "she'd"? It's not a captions glitch either she actually said that...
