Looking for advice regarding a Body Corporate and managing agent in South Africa.

I am a newly appointed trustee - Our managing agent has been in place for over six years and is refusing to allow termination of the agreement. We have also been denied access to the Body Corporate’s bank accounts, financial information and important complex documents.
CSOS has advised us to approach the PPRA.

Has anyone dealt with something similar? Specifically, can a managing agent refuse termination, could withholding access to accounts/records constitute misconduct, and what process or SGM requirements should the Body Corporate follow?

It’s so frustrating and scary.

Any experience dealing with this would be appreciated.

I’m signing up to QLTS school. I am sitting in Jan. As you know and as there always is, there are legal updates. QLTS school are updating their textbooks. Should I wait until September or just get cracking with the old copies and a supplemental update. How are you finding it?

I see so many complaints about niche questions in the exam. What is this about? Is this the case? In which case how are the providers tackling this. How did YOU tackle this?

I have completed my Barbri course but will only be taking the SQE in Jan. I would need to put money into Barbi to continue or I could switch to QLTS or ULAW. Should I invest elsewhere?

I was just wondering what you are doing with your older SQE materials (namely textbooks) - not AI slop.

I’ve delayed the SQE for a bit mostly due to personal circumstances and I’ve gathered beautiful sets of text books which aren’t entirely useless.

What do I do with them?

So I’m due to go for the SQE in less than a week. I have been doing practice questions but honestly first attempt at them and I’m less than 5 days out and yet to sit a mock. I basically only prepped notes and watched lectures.

I feel I’m not giving this a fair chance and I need honest advice. I feel guilty but I need to be honest.

Thoughts?
The next sitting is in early Jan.

We are headed to the July sitting but I’m panicking. Would love to hear your horror stories whereby you still passed.

Just getting a feel how many questions you guys are doing per day.

My wedding dress was from Pronovias and I loved it. The side of the dress has some intricate beading which came loose on the day (I know…I expected better quality). I wanted to get it repaired before storing it for my daughter one day or for later. I contacted pronovias and they told me they don’t do repairs. They then stopped responding to my emails asking for references or suggested steps. It can only be done properly by the person who made it I would think. I actually expected more from an institution who sells dresses at this level. I feel like their customer service is terrible and there is no complaints channel. I feel treated like disposable or like a crazed customer which i’m not. It’s so upsetting. If you have any suggestions I would love your input.
