Gary Chambers (D-Louisiana) spoke truth to these offspring of Confederate soldiers

https://www.instagram.com/garychambersjr/

Chambers to this Caucasian coward: “If you’re taking seats from Black people, you’re a thief… when Black men with courage, conviction, and righteousness show up it triggers something in you — you may have the numbers, but you don’t have the courage.”

The high casualty rate of verified contributors of this sub ("A safe space for the black men of Reddit"): A partial list of accounts that have been maliciously targeted and got perma-banned in 2026

https://www.reddit.com/user/tropicalraindrop/

https://www.reddit.com/user/heyhihowyahdurn/

https://www.reddit.com/user/JoshuaKpatakpa04/

https://www.reddit.com/user/L_Dubb85/

https://www.reddit.com/user/unlimitedfutures/

The opps (who insist they are "black") are relentlessly after us. The status quo (of this sub) allows them to do whatever they have been doing to knock down our accounts. That's why some of the long-time contributors (e.g., TheAfternoonStandard) never came back.

Is this the best we can do to keep it a "safe space" for the black men of Reddit?

UMich football teammates Willis Ward and Gerald Ford: 50 years ago (1976), the last Republican who was a decent human finished his term as POTUS--Ford threatened to quit the football team when Ward was benched for a game against GA Tech, which refused to play against black players in that era (1934)

Willis Ward was born in Alabama and he grew up in Michigan after his family relocated to Michigan during the Great Migration.

"His friendship with Ward is recognized for influencing the stand he took on civil rights and affirmative action."

As Congressman, Ford voted for the 1964 Civil Rights Act and the 1965 Voting Rights Act.
