So yeah basically I'm an obc ncl candidate. My family's annual income is indeed below the 8lakhs benchmark. All said and done I got a category rank which according to last year's cutoffs makes me eligible for all IISERs except pune but my crl rank is so shitty that I wouldn't have gotten anything via that. But in josaa I got ECE at MNNIT Allahabad and EE at one of the newer IITs (would've gotten that even at the general rank). The discourse full of hatred on this sub is making me feel guilty and unworthy

I'll most likely be joining EE/ECE here. What are the things I need to learn beforehand? Like I'm learning some python but how proficient do I need to be before joining and what's the course of the first semester like. I'd really appreciate if y'all could help

How many people graduating in the 2024 batch or the latest batch from your respective IISERs received phd offers ??

If seniors from their respective IISERs can give an estimate of how many students from the latest batch or even those graduating in the 2024 batch got PhD offers. I'd really appreciate the information

Nit jaipur ee vs nit bhopal ece

How's the EE branch here ? Are placements that bad? Side by side coding seekhne ka time milega? How's the overall culture

MNNIT Allahabad EE or MANIT Bhopal ECE or NIT Calicut EE (borderline acc last year so probably na mile) . Josaa walo ne mock round 1 me allahabad diya aur round 2 me bhopal pe degrade kar diya. How's the college life here? How're ECE ke placements? Do y'all get enough time to learn coding and shi on the side even in a circuital branch? How's the coding culture and campus life in general?

I got obc ncl category rank 42XX and crl 166XX in mains. In the mock round 1 they allotted me EE at MNNIT Allahabad (choice 14) which is honestly the place I wanna go but in the second mock round they changed it to EE at MNIT Jaipur (choice 18). Should I even expect Allahabad in the original counselling at this point. Last year in round one it closed at 4310 and 4667 in round 6.

I am an obc ncl M. I am getting 130-140 according to the answer key. Which IISERs am I getting realistically? Also is mohali good because my parents are against that.

This was my drop year. I struggled very bad. I was literally eating a sleeping pill and an antidepressant the night before advanced. But I did well enough in mains to get ee at mnnit allahabad/ IT at IIIT Lucknow. However ion wanna go there as I am really interested in astronomy and astrophysics
