Will the TCG die off after year one?

Just a speculative opinion, but if players who want to play can’t get access to affordable cards, and if Palworld itself doesn’t release more Pals for future sets, seems like the card game will start to struggle after the first year.

Pokémon works because they keep releasing new characters. With set 2 of Palworld, we will have already reached over half of the available Pals released in the TCG. I just don’t see how they will keep the card game relevant if they don’t release more Pals, or expand access to cards.

Palworld is the most enjoyable game I’ve played in years

For the last decade it feels like I’ve been bouncing from game to game, never really sticking with anything. I was tired of the live service crap and the unpolished slop that AAA studios have been releasing, but never really had a good fallback game. Even other survival games would lose my interest after like 40-50 hours. But not Palworld.

I’m about 120 hours into the game, and I just finally started my own solo world after playing with friends this whole time. It still feels like a new game to me, there’s so much to do and new ways to play every single time. I can see myself playing this for easily another 100-200 hours. I’ve had so much fun with it I even ordered a starter deck for the TCG.

Sorry for all of the glazing, but Palworld has just completely surpassed my expectations, and I’m genuinely having the most fun with a video game that I have in years. It feels so good!

About Me: Dispatch posts

Hey all,

I’m glad everyone is having so much fun with the new “About Me: Dispatch” template that everyone has been posting. I want people to have a chance to participate, but I also want to keep the main sub clutter-free, as we’ve been seeing a new post every 10 or so minutes.

So for the next 24 hours I will still allow everyone to keep posting these on the main sub, but after that we will be filtering them out as repetitive content. If you would like to still post yours afterwards, you are welcome to use this thread as a space to share them and discuss!

Supposedly only 430 tickets were available for sale today for Worlds Finals

Multiple comments claim that botters with backend access confirmed that only 430 tickets went on sale for todays drop. If that is true that is absolutely pathetic that the public drop was 2% of the stadium's capacity. What an insult.

Mods please let us create our own user flair on this sub

Given the topic and all of the weird energy the backrooms oozes, we should be able to make our own flair. So far we have some nice B-tier, surface level flair that fits the memes. But We can do better, we can go deeper. Let us go deeper. Please.

This condition makes me so depressed

Flare up after flare up. Fear of eating foods that previously brought me joy. Inconsistent effectiveness of my medication. I feel like the joy in my life has just progressively faded away and I live most of my life in bed, on the couch, or at my desk because I’m in too much pain to go out.

My friends and family “understand” in concept, but practically they always keep telling me I need to find ways to still get out there and engage with people. It’s so hard, I feel miserable almost every day. My cousin was so depressed with this condition it ultimately killed him. I’m just so frustrated and angry at life because of how unfair this condition is.

So is Barbara really the still life we see in the dinner scene?

I know a lot of people were trying to compare the still life we see in the dinner scene to Clark's wife Barbara, and I couldn't remember if we actually got to see what she looked like. Turns out we do see a brief picture of the two of them, and I completely overlooked it on my first watch. I do see some similarities between the two, but based on the photo I feel like it's kind of a stretch to say it's her.
