SU-27 Flanker dogfights F-16 over Groom Lake circa 2016

A very interesting article I found from The Aviationist. I'm not sure why I have never seen this before. I saw some stuff online with a little bit of research that this might have came from Ukraine in the early 2000s. Now, my question is; do they still do this? does the USAF own this aircraft? Could it still be at Groom? If The Aviationist reported on this I'm sure it's authentic right? I have never seen or heard anything about the USAF having a Flanker.

JANET lands at EDW North Base.

Yes, I am aware a Janet is nothing out of the ordinary- But i am wondering? Didn't they close north bases runway? Last time I was out there if I recall I saw the yellow X's on the runway. Also what could a Janet be doing at north base? As far as I'm aware there is nothing up there but a restoration hanger and a couple civilian projects.

What are these super long refueling tracks for?

  • This is the Isabella Refueling track, in the R-2508 MOA. The normal track extends from Lake Isabella to Tehachapi. Sometimes tankers like this KC-46 will do this super long route from Tehachapi all the way up to independence. What is the purpose for such a long track? I see this often with the B-21 and F-117s

Could eyes being sensitive to light be linked to migraines?

For the past, idk 3-4 months maybe my eyes have began being really sensitive to light. I think it's because i have started wearing sunglasses a lot more frequently. I physically cannot look at a white car on a sunny day. It's like looking into the sun. glares and the sun shining off things has also become a lot more annoying and painful. I absolutely despise migraines, I get them randomly. Maybe once every 1.5 or so months on average. It has also become a little harder to focus on stuff. I absolutely have so much anxiety when I feel like I am having an aurora and it takes me like 5 mins to figure out if i am having one. I hate them so much. While I am here I might as well ask if there is a permanent cure for migraines? Is there a way to figure out what causes them? Thanks yall.

What could I sell an '89 F-150 XLT Lariat Super Cab for?

Hey y'all, sorry if this post isn't allowed. I am getting a 1989 F-150 XLT Lariat Super Cab for a really cheap price for the condition, and I was seeing if anyone knows what I could get for it. It has 125K Original miles, 1 owner, fully maintained the have receipts for everything that has ever been done. The only thing they have changed is had it professionally painted. Interior basically brand new. So not sure what it would be worth. Thanks y'all.

What should I do with my trucks

Hey all. Please take time to read this I need advice lol

Sorry if this post isn’t allowed. I’m just seeking opinions on what I should do with my trucks.
I’ll give a little bit of background, I have a little bit of a Facebook marketplace addiction lol, my dream trucks are OBS Chevys and so a couple months ago for my first truck, I bought a 1993 K1500 for $1000 off some kid who was selling it, imagine a truck that has been sitting in the mountains for a while- in that condition lol. It has a jasper engine I have no idea what kind there’s nothing on it that says what kind it is, needs new exhaust system, new back window, door panels and a new transmission. He gave me all the parts “that will make it run” he gave me a belt, a distributer cap and a couple other small things. So it’s just kinda been sitting for a couple months, and I have been making a list of what I need to get for it, and I went on marketplace yesterday and was looking for a part out of a 88-95 K1500, and I found this guy about 2 hours from me with a 1998 Z71, at the time I completely forgot that it is technically different other than the body so most things are not interchangeable to my ‘93. Nonetheless I gave him a list of parts and he said he will just give me the whole truck for $500 so I went up there and got it. Since it was a part out truck he was missing the bed, front bumper and front seats. He said it was a stock engine/trans trans was rebuilt 25k miles ago and engine needs a new crankshaft. Other than that it should work. But i thought that this particular one was fuel injected, I opened the hood and found it has a carburetor?
So what should I do, rebuild this one and ditch the ‘93 or rebuild this engine and put this engine/trans in my ‘93? Because my ‘93 is nicer imo, but I genuinely don’t know what to do. Can the trans from this new one fit in my ‘93? I really want advice on what to do.
If anyone wants to help me further feel free to reach out. And honestly, I will admit overall I don’t know what I’m doing when it comes to the mechanical stuff so I’ve been having some buddies help me.

Extremely niche pet peeve

I’ve been thinking about this for a while, not really sure why I’m posting this but it annoys me so much lol.
I have no idea what to call them, and I’m sure almost no one will understand what I’m talking about, because it is an incredibly niche subject. But there are a group of content creators out there, almost completely on YouTube. They are all kids, most like 11-15 probably they do absolutely nothing but make these cringe and low effort aviation edits. You can tell if they are one because every single one of them has some stolen picture of an airliner with the YouTube and CapCut (low budget edit app) cutout and put it behind the plane. These kids go to insta or X find peoples plane photos and put them in some cringe free edit template with some EDM music and upload it to YouTube and get like less than 1k views all off of stolen music and photos with no credit. Like what is the point??? It genuinely bugs the actual heck out of me. They will also go into aviation news stuff and start spewing brain rot and genuinely terrible takes on current aviation news. These kids don’t know what they are talking about and it pisses me off

Yeah as I said incredibly niche, but maybe a couple of you will understand it lol

Hey all I have been pretty addicted to marketplace for the past few months and all of a sudden it says that I can’t access marketplace because it “cant verify my age” even though I used it for like 4 months with no issues? Is there any way to get around this? The only way I can access this is by either uploading my ID or doing a face scan which I am not doing either because we all know meta is stealing all of that.

Has anyone else had this problem?
