Autodesk autocad toolset problem

Hello, my windows laptop broke down and all I have left now is my mac. However, I'm not comfortable with the toolset provided. In general, I will only do 2d drafting, so is the mac version sufficient? I cannot find the ribbon tabs and I don't know if I will have a hard time finding and using the functions in those tabs in the toolset provided for mac. I need experience from people who tried autocad on macos and windows.

Autodesk Autocad Toolset Problem

Hello, my windows laptop broke down and all I have left now is my mac. However, I'm not comfortable with the toolset provided. In general, I will only do 2d drafting, so is the mac version somewhat similar? I cannot find the ribbon tabs and I don't know if I will have a hard time finding and using the functions in those tabs in the toolset provided for mac. I have no choice, so I need to use this mac, but I need others to share their experience using this version.

How did higher fps fix cpu lag spikes?

Can someone explain to me how this happened? I was playing the mimic book 2 chapter 4 on my mac and noticed frequent 1000 ms cpu spikes on max graphics. I was very frustrated, but I experimented with the max fps settings. To my surprise, turning it up to 120 fps fixed it. But how? I thought 60 fps would be less load on the hardware? I am just very curious

Edit: Mainly, the lag spikes happened in the first part of book 2 chapter 4, chapter 3, and cutscenes

My first ever paranormal experience

So I was just chilling in bed when my mom called her second phone to find it. Someone answered, a man, he said "hello" three times so my mom said where the man was and said that it was her phone. The phone hung up. She went back in her car and saw the phone. The strange thing is that our car is always locked and there are no men in my lot but me. Another strange thing was she already rang her phone back when she was at her car (before she was here in my house).

Ok so there could be a rational explanation like a line glitch or something. To be honest, this is the only thing I think is partly true besides from hijack or paranormal stuff

Macbook for upcoming bar exams

Hello, I wanted to buy a very capable macbook because I plan to use it po for other stuff besides bar. Some on fb say that m5 is too latest to run examplify. However po, am I right to believe that that isn't true? Yes di pa po siya nattest, but as far as I know po kahit ang m1 nakakareceive pa po ng major os updates, so technically, it's also "latest" but with a different chip, yet nakakapagrun po siya ng examplify. Are there any risks of buying M5 series? Huhu big decision na talaga to as my long term laptop for 7+ yrs

How fast does technology advance?

I'm planning to buy the macbook air m5 as a student who does moderate 1080p to 4k vid/photo editing and autocad(An elective subject so, I'll only do this for 1 year). After 4-5 years, my work would generally be office-like with multitasking.

I am not familiar with how fast tech advances, and I know that there is no way to actually predict, so in general, would 16 gb of ram and 512 gb ssd be sufficient, or should I opt for higher? I plan to keep this laptop for 7+years to minimize costs, so I would like to somewhat future-proof it.

Macbook or Gaming Laptop for School

I originally wanted a gaming laptop, but some say macbooks shine at productivity, and I guess a gaming laptop would tempt me considering my age and interests, doing more harm than good. I have like 10+ yrs left before I officially get a job, so longevity is definitely a factor to minimize costs.

I use pcs for autocad, vid and photo editing, and normal office stuff. On an important note, auto cad is from an elective subject and my school does not really focus on this, so it will only be simple cad stuff like interior and exterior design renders and will only last for 1 year. Also, the vid (1080p to 4k) and photo editing, would be significantly minimized after 4 years, and I'll be likely only using the laptop for office-like work with multitasking.

Now, my family can buy me the Macbook Air M5, but some say macbooks have a kinda bad price to value, which is why I even made this post knowing that Macbook Air m5 has incredible performance. I just want to make the most of my family's budget because I do not have my own job to buy what I want. Should I just get it?

Macbook or gaming laptop?

My budget is around 1200 -1600 USD. I use pcs for work (1080p vid editing mostly but I also use autocad, music notation software, and normal office stuff) and light gaming. I don't play any AAA games but I would like to have max graphics on those non AAA games. I also don't play much competitive games and if I do, it'll probably be something in roblox. I have heard that gaming laptops can have some of their parts like ssd and ram upgrades whilst macbook can't. Still, I think desktops are better for gaming if I plan upgrade the parts in the future. However, I've also heard that MacOS and its exclusive chips are efficient, so I don't really know what to buy. Can you help me?

What's my true hair type

I didn't really care for my hair for a long time and now I'm interested. When it's wet, it forms waves and when it's not, its stiff, dry and frizzy. I'm getting sick of my hair's stiffness and frizz. Could anyone help me on finding out my hair type and what possible hair products and routine? Sorry, i don't really have a great pic

Help me choose between am4 and am5

So the cpu I have in mind (r5 7500f) w 9060xt 16 gb is overkill for my use. However, I picked this because it's on the am5 platform, so it's future-proof? If I don't buy this, I'll just buy the r5 5600x and it's still overkill but it's on the am4 platform. What should I do if money isn't the problem NOW and I don't plan to upgrade for YEARS, potentially near a decade? Should I step down? Because I was thinking that having an overkill setup would let me not upgrade most of my parts such as the cpu/gpu for a long time

Edit: I'd like to add that for a few years, I'd only be doing fhd to uhd vid editing and autocad briefly(1 year). I'd likely not play any AAA games, and the most demanding game that I could play would be something like genshin impact, and that wouldn't be tha majority of my playlist. Also, i only plan 16 gb ram now. Because of this, I've been thinking that maybe I could pay more now to skip a cpu/gpu upgrade for many years since I think I can tolerate ram prices if I ever have to upgrade that only.

Do I have wavy hair if it's wavy with conditioner

I'm new to this hair stuff but my hair literally forms different clusters of waves when I apply my conditioner. When it's wet, it's bouncy and very satisfying but when it dries, the frizz appears and it gets very stiff. Any ideas?

Should I get an am5?

Hi, I use pc for general work (vid/photo & music transcription editing, office work) and light to medium gaming(unlikely to play AAA games). Since am5 is future-proof, should I just get it? I mean, if I have the budget, I don't see why not. I plan for a r5 7500f cpu with 9060xt 16 gb

Edit: My editing would generally be moderate to slightly heavy or a 7+ years or more. After that, I'd prob only use my pc for light editing and moderate gaming

What's wrong with me

Lately, I've realized many things about myself, and some of those are concerning for me. Firstly, I've noticed that I always wanted to be seen as "the best" or at least "above average." If not, I'd feel a lingering sense of embarrassment and frustration towards myself (sometimes jealousy). Also, I just don't want to be seen as "degenerate," "incompetent," or just basically "careless." I don't know where this rooted from and I don't know if it's normal. Like I'm so tired of this. Why am I so affected when people say bad things about me. I even go as far as to subconsciously copy my friends' attitudes/language to mingle with them and avoid being seen as "different." I'm so sick of this so I'll offer a little more context on my life for you guys.

My life, like others, is full of problems. My dad is controlling, manipulative, and very stingy of his money when it comes to his own family (unlike strangers, literal strangers). All my life, the most common thing happening is me being unknowledgeable of something and people noticing that very thing. Saying "you still don't know how to do this?" Well how? I was never taught how! Heck, how could a child as young as I was learn those things, albeit how simple they are??? So at this point, you already might know where my feelings rooted from, but I just yearn for someone to tell me their thoughts because I had no one telling theirs.

Anyways, another thing is that I care a lot of myself. I'm the typical "ambitious but lazy" or more accurately "ambitious but procrastinating." I have lots of visions for myself, and I value being a better person and being associated with a degenerate really hurts me. I've learned to lie, to control my emotions for the sake of surviving my household, but occasionally I get emotionally drained and everything pops out like a shaked coca cola bottle. And in those times do I really feel the most heartbroken and depressed, and I usually just cry my heart out for hours and process it silently after.

So why? Am I normal? What steps should I take to be better? I just feel suppressed and older generations teling that gen z is sensitive is NOT helping

Overkill?

Is r5 5600x paired with 9060 xt 16 gb overkill for roblox, assuming that I force gpu usage? If so, what other gpu can I use? On an important note, I did have a feeling that it IS overkill, but I didn't know how much of the card's potential iwould be wasted. But I will try other games too since coming from a potato pc, I can't really explore any other game now. I only want to comfortably play almost any game at medium to high graphics with >50 fps, and that's why I had this overkill setup in mind 😅

Edit: My mind changed halfway through this post, my question now is if this setup could let me play almost any game at 1440p resolution with >50 fps
