He paid for the dinner, which was his version of (an) apology
With or without the an? AI says add it.
Edit: why do people in the sub always downvote questions?
ASUS PA279CRV color issue
Hi all. A few days ago I finally pulled the trigger and got the monitor for photo editing. However the colors are noticeably warmer than my iPad air 5th, which is supposed to be accurate in color (?) And blues are tealish and dark cold tones are desaturated compared to the iPad. Is it possible that I missed something, or is the monitor simply faulty? I'm considering returning it...

"Be careful with (the) photos you post online"
This sentence is meant to be a suggestion for someone's future reference regarding what they'll post in the future.
Keep the "the" because it refers to a specific set of photos, which is all the photos the other person will post in the future, or skip it because "all the photos they'll post" is a general reference?
For some reason I feel like both sound the same.
Feel free to point out any grammatically errors in my post too if you're willing. TIA.
Same reef, 2026 vs 2023. The resilience of nature is beautiful.
I've known this patch of fish for as long as I've been diving. Been awesome to see them grow.
"Sushi is as signature of Japanese food as kimchi is of Korean food."
Is the grammar correct? I know it's a pretty weird analogy.
How I color correct underwater photos in Lightroom.
Just a little guide I posted on Instagram. Feedback encouraged.
I want money, which I don't have a lot (of)
I need money, which I have very little (of)
Would you add an of?
I feel like either is fine for the first one, and the of is needed for the second one.
"They're the type of dolphin that if we stop the boat, they will swim away."
This sentence isn't grammatically correct because the that already refers to the type of dolphin, so the they shouldn't be there. However I do feel like I've heard people talk like this before when they were thinking aloud. Is it common that people talk like this in casual conversations?
Edit: what's the point of downvoting a genuine question? Get a life.
Chapter 1: Color Correction
Someone requested a general guide, so here it is!
Color Correction is always the first thing I do when editing an underwater image, which could get tricky if you took the photo at a deep depth. This guide covers how I approach it.
Hope y'all like it.
Edit: The bottom of the last slide is kinda becoming a reality 💀
It's selfish for/of people to smoke in public
Sometimes I can't really decide between these 2. I think the of describes the people and the for describes people smoking in public? I guess both kinda work and mean basically the same thing?
File size got smaller
I'm exporting at 100% quality and resolution as I did a year ago. I'm typically getting something below 15mb while a year ago I was getting 30mb. Same camera and raw file size. What could I have changed by accident?
Should I be concerned?
Haven't used my camera in a while and I just found the whiting around the hot shoe. What is this and why did this happen?
Turtle as spiderman/a ballet dancer/simply tiptoeing on his bro
Real life difference between lossless and lossy compressed
I read that lossy compressed makes the raw files 12 bits instead of 14 bits. How much of does that make in postprocessing in your experience? Is it even visible if you don't have a high dynamic range?
Asking this because I'm thinking about trying out birding. Wondering if it's worth switching to 11fps for birds in flight and 5 fps for still birds.
Monitor for photo editing
Currently considering the ASUS ProArt PA279CRV. I've heard good things about it and it's within my budget (~500)

The BenQ PD series fits in the budget too but unfortunately doesn't have AdobeRGB. I may be printing photos in the future so I guess I need it?

Any other recommendation is appreciated.
