[European Union] and [United Kingdom] Can a sub-250g drone fly over uninvolved people?
Is it possible for a sub 250g drone to fly over uninvolved people in EU and UK?
I'm wondering how drone pilots take their city footage in busy cities.

Seen a post on another Irish forum of a man who was screaming racist abuse at someone.
A lot of comments on the thread about punch the abuser etc.
It got me wondering, what is legal justification for striking someone?
Does a person need to be physically threatened or is being abused verbally enough to justify striking someone?
Is someone was getting verbally abused, struck the perpetrator and perpetrator struck their head on a path and died, would the puncher be open to be criminally charged?
My job wants me to put together a video containing footage that spans several years, all recorded by freelancers who recorded in different file formats, using different cameras in different qualities etc.
If I want to have a consistent final video, what is the best method of ensuring consistency across all of the various clips?
A gimbal noob, rather than a videography noob.
I'm weighing up adding a gimbal to my arsenal, and weighing up the pros and cons and if I'd actually find it practical putting it together and balancing it at shoots.
Wondering how much time it would take balancing a gimbal like this on my first time, and how long they would take each time?
Is the juice worth the squeeze?
Company I work for owns a mavic 4 pro, they want me to fly it occasionally for social media content.
Do I take out the insurance policy or my company?
Can anyone recommend a good insurer for public liability insurance and actually ensuring the drone against damage and theft?
Hi everyone,
I've been out of the workforce for about 4 years for family reasons, I have a level 8 degree but I'm looking to start a new career and I'm wondering if people had any recommendations.
I'm open to a form trade, home helping, hair or nails etc.
I like helping people, creating art, health and beauty.
I'd prefer to avoid retail and service industry as I worked there for a long time in my youth and I'd prefer to not go back there.
It's not so much the money I'm concerned about, my partner is the main earner, moreso getting a job that I'm content in.
I'm a bit undecided about what step to take, and wondering if anyone had any recommendations or advice for someone in my position and what are the first steps to take?
Appreciate any advice.
Buildings would be quite large, like stadiums and apartment blocks.
I've driven drones before, but not in a few years so I will be rusty.
Would anyone have some good advice or a good shot list?
Appreciate any help for a rusty drone flyer!
Or do you simply use the sun and diffusers or reflectors?

Can anyone recommend a good one man outdoor lighting or diffusion setup that is as portable as can be?

Appreciate any advice and information on how to successfully light outdoor interviews in a portable manner
I was previously a videographer since about 5 years ago, but have been out of the game for a while in communications jobs.

I'm now going to do some video work for my current company, just for social media and website.

We have a Canon R5 with RF 24/105 F4 and I've been given budget to buy new lenses, im considering 16-35 F4 and 70-200 F2.8. Our company is in the sustainable construction industry, so I'll occasionally visit construction sites and buildings etc to capture B-Roll.

I'm wondering, if I have an image stabilised camera and a lens with image stabilisation, and I'm just creating videos where every transition will be 3-5 seconds mostly, is a gimbal overkill or is there still value in having a gimbal?

Things to consider is I'm a one man band who doesn't drive, so I'll be using public transport and flying to sites etc, so portability is a key consideration for me.

I'm looking at the DJI brand of gimbals, but open to suggestions.

Hi guys,

I work for a sustainable construction company, and they've just allowed me to purchase an Osmo Pocket 4 to capture footage of buildings and projects where our products are used.

I've only used a Pocket 3 previously for a couple of shoots with my friends band and really liked it, does anybody have any tips or advice on capturing good footage and a good style of shots for buildings?

I'm talking quite large buildings rather than houses if that makes sense, things like office blocks, apartment blocks, stadiums etc.
I'm a former videographer and I've previously owned a Mavic Pro probably close to 10 years ago, haven't had or flown a drone since so I'm a bit unaware of the latest developments.
I'm now working in public relations, but want to do some video work for the company I work for too. The company is a cleantech construction company and we're looking to buy a drone to film our projects. It will have to be new rather than used unfortunately.
The videos I'll be making will be mainly out on construction sites filming work being undertaken and taking drone shots of finished construction developments. It can be anywhere from offshore wind turbines to stadiums.
The videos will be solely for social media and the company website.
I appreciate any help or recommendations on what would be the best drone to buy for the budget.
I'm a former freelance videographer, previously used Panasonic several years ago.
I'm now working in public relations, but want to do some video work for the company too. The company is a clean tech construction company. The videos I'll be making will be interview pieces to camera and out on construction sites filming work being undertaken.
We've got a Canon R5 with the 24-105 F/4 lens, and I'd like to get a lens or two to accompany the 24-105.
I'm open to one expensive lens or two affordable lenses. They will have to be purchased as new rather than pre-owned sadly, because the company will want them new.
One of my main requirements would be something with a lower aperture than F/4 to create some good background separation during interviews. I was thinking perhaps an 85mm or would that be too much?
What other type lenses would people reckon for construction site work? Is 24mm from the 24-105 wide enough, or should I go wider?
I could probably bump the budget up to €2500 if I ask nicely lol.
Appreciate any help for a rusty videographer who hasn't used Canon in over a decade!
It seems increasingly likely that the DNA from a blood sample that was found on Sophie Toscan du Plantier's boot does not belong to Ian Bailey.
If it did, it would have been revealed by now and the papers are saying this morning that Gardai are liasing with overseas authorities to try to establish who the DNA belongs to.
My question is, if Bailey is innocent, the man was hounded into an early grave by countless gardai, journalists, locals giving false testimony against him, documentary makers, TV presenters and stations etc.
Will these people face any repercussions for their actions if it is indeed proven that Bailey was innocent?
