bro i need to say this somewhere.

this drop year i gave everything. skipped socializing, finished food first in hostel just to study more, zero free time. marks kept improving in mocks, i finally started believing in myself.

then jee session 1, 80 percentile. broke something in me.

institution classes were over by then so i convinced my parents to let me shift home, thinking i’d study better there. every mentor told me not to. i didn’t listen.

first few days at home i studied even more than hostel. but no competition, no one watching, it slowly slipped. 14 hrs to 9 to 5 to 2 to nothing some days.

session 2, 73 percentile.

and honestly that wasn’t even the worst part. keam 17k, cusat 6k. even my backups failed. that’s when it hit me i had nothing.
now i’m stuck. i do have a private seat i can take right now (something like mits/fisat). so it’s either take it and start my engineering life, or drop one more year, go back to hostel/institution setup this time, and try again for jee.

scared of dropping again and ending up with nothing. also scared of settling just because i’m scared to try again.

if anyone’s been in this exact spot, private seat vs one more drop, what did you pick and do you regret it?
