First off, I just discovered this group and hope you're all well. I have the Merlin app on my phone to ID birds by sound. I was in a park today in Wheaton and two new birds came up but the app said it was unlikely that they'd be in the area. I'd love to add them to my life list, but don't want to cheat if they weren't there. I didn't get a visual on either of the new ones for me. I'm wondering what experience you may have with the app and how likely it is these birds were present. The two in question were hooded warbler and Carolina wren.

EDIT: Let me add I stayed a few more minutes and those birds never were identified again even though many others were being picked up.
