I spray painted the toe sliders on my Dainese Nexus 3 boots

The matte black plastic toe sliders kind of disappeared into the boots, and just made the boots look bulky.

I spray painted them metallic silver and now they actually look like a removable sliders.

I was planning to buy Dainese magnesuim slider for 40 euros, but wanted to test this first.

What do you think?

Help me choose a leather jacket - Rev'it Quantum 3 vs Control

Both AAA, both CE2 protectors. Similar pricing.
The Quantum 3 is listed as “partially ventilated,” even though it seems to have perforations across the whole jacket. The Control, on the other hand, is listed as “fully ventilated,” despite having only smaller laser cut perforations in selected areas.

The Control also seems to have larger TPU shoulder sliders. Overall, it looks like it has slightly better finishing and a more refined design, but there are very few video reviews on either of them.

I can’t really try either of them on anywhere near me. I already own three REV’IT! textile jackets, so I know my size and how REV’IT! fits me.

Does anyone here own either of these jackets? I’d really appreciate your thoughts**.**

My gear as a 2000km/month all year commuter

Well, here it is if anyone’s interested: most of my gear as a full-time, year-round commuter.

I prioritize safety features and temperature control over comfort and casual looks. All of my gloves have mandatory palm sliders, all of my jackets have upgraded back protectors, all of my pants have hip protectors installed, and my summer boots have an ankle brace system. My winter boots don’t, so replacing them is on my to-do list. All my jackets and pants are connected with a zipper.

My bike has heated grips and a heated seat. I switch between a low sport windscreen in summer for maximum airflow and a tall touring windscreen with extension for the colder weather. I also use extended handlebar wind deflectors during the winter, and even a battery-heated helmet visor insert to prevent fogging.

Summer:
Rev’It! Quantum 3 Air AA mesh jacket
Alpinestars Troop Air Pro AA mesh pants
Five RFX3 Evo leather gauntlet gloves with palm sliders
Dainese Nexus 3 boots with an ankle brace system
Winter:
Rev’It! Control H2O AA waterproof jacket with a removable thermal liner and ventilation zippers
Alpinestars Raider V2 Drystar AA waterproof pants with a removable thermal liner and ventilation zippers
Alpinestars New Land Gore-Tex leather boots
Macna Rafino RTX battery-heated waterproof gloves with palm sliders

I also have several different balaclavas, neck tubes, heated socks, thermal base layers, moisture wicking socks, shirts and underwear, a Dainese kidney belt, rain overcoat and overpants for summer.

Honorable mentions that I occasionally use:
Rev’It! Eclipse 2 jacket and pants (A-rated mesh set)
John Doe Defender cargo pants (AAA-rated)
Raven Demir motorcycle jeans (A-rated)
Alpinestars Sektor riding shoes

By no means am I an ATGATT guy, I just have a very long commute, and my motorcycle is main mean of transportation while living in the countryside.

I live in central Croatia, where the weather is mostly cold and humid.

Ilegal angle on tail tidy

I installed an Evotech tail tidy on my F900XR, and while it looks great, I want to get it approved and pass the inspection.
The problem is that in my country the license plate must have a maximum angle of 30 degrees, while this Evotech setup appears to be closer to 45 degrees.
What should I do? The plate holder is made of CNC-machined aluminum, and I’m worried that it could easily snap if I try to bend it
What options do I have besides riding with it illegally?

Alpinestars SMX-6 V3 Vented in Europe

Does anyone know where I can buy the vented version of the SMX-6 V3 boots in Europe? I’ve searched several EU webshops, but I haven’t found any that offer them. Ordering from the US is possible, but after shipping and import taxes the price goes up to around €500, which is just ridiculous, since it is a European brand.

Anyone tall using CBR650R for everyday commute?

I’m 190 cm tall and I tried riding it. It felt fine for a that short ride, but I’m a bit worried since my commute is around 40 minutes.

Now, I’ve done some longer rides before, and I know for sure that one longer trip isn’t the same as riding a bike 1–2 hours every day. The soreness and discomfort tend to build up over time.

Is anyone tall here using CBR650R for longer commutes or long rides in general?

Blokiranje inozemnih scam poziva

Disappointed with Five RFX3 Evo gloves

They lasted only two months, or around 2000 km. I can still use them, but its just a matter of time.
They are a snug sport fit, so theyre somewhat hard to put on and take off, and now the part youre supposed to pull while getting them on is totally torn apart. Skill issue, I guess.

Looking for real world comfort for tall riders

Hello all! In a few weeks I’ll probably be getting a CBR650R, and I’m curious if there are any tall riders here willing to share their experiences and comparisons with some other bikes they’ve ridden.

Unfortunately, I don’t really have a way to test ride it for longer periods. I dont really care how I look, every bike looks small under me, i just wish to see how comfortable I would feel on it. There just arent any dealers near me that offer demo rides.

I’m 6’3, 220lbs, or 190 cm, 100 kg, with a 35inch inseam or 89 cm. I would mostly use it for commuting about 30–40 minutes, with occasional longer weekend rides of around 2–3 hours.

2 years after 3K grafts on temples

I have that straight “Turkish hairline,” but since I don’t wear my hair pushed back, it’s not really noticeable.

Hello everyone!

Summer is closing in, and I’ve started using my awesome AA summer pants: Alpinestars Troop Air Pro. They have a slim fit and are quite tapered around the ankle, so I’m not sure if the zipper would fit over some higher boots.

At the moment, I only have low motorcycle shoes for summer (Alpinestars Sektor), and I’m considering getting mid high/ full high summer boots with ankle protection. I’m just not sure whether these pants should go over the full boots or if the boots should go over the pants?

If anyone has these pants, I would greatly appreciate your opinion!
