Just got this through the post from Intercept Studios, this image invokes so much memories from my childhood, my dad passed on a few of his books to me when I was about 9 year old, Deathtrap dungeon was the first book I played THIS Orc champion was the first creature I fought. I'm so happy to have this I'll go out & grab a frame for it today & put it in mind office.
Have a great day guys.
Hi guys anybody here familiar with T&T I picked up these two books at a Car boot /yard sale which ones am I missing? Many thanks.
Still new to the hobby but this has been my worst blade I've used (so far) BUT that being said it didn't nick me I just had to do what seemed like 20 passes on my head 🤣
But it just shows that this hobby is subjective as I've heard many people talk highly of this blade, I should note I was shaving my head with this not sure If that makes a difference? Perhaps this is a good face blade I've no idea.
What blades have you guys heard good things about but we're left underwhelmed?
Hi Guys My Volvo S80 2007 2.4D is making what I can only describe as a whirring sound when I turn my wheel, the said whirring sound is also at low speeds or when I take my door of the gas and the car is slowing down.
Just for a clearer picture I had my car In the garage to have my power steering hose/pipe off as it was leaking, I had to take it to a hydraulics place to get a new section of the pipe/hose made as the old one had erroded. Now the good news is I'm not having to top up power steering fluid every journey now as it's not leaking but I didn't have this whirring sound prior to this. My first thought was is there may be a bit of trapped air in the system so I tried the normal 'bleed' procedures turning wheels etc but it's still there.
Can you guys hear it ? Am I going insane ? Any feedback would be massively appreciated thanks very much.
Finally picked up a copy of Blacksand off eBay that wasn't falling apart I didn't expect to win & ended up winning for just under £12 which I thought was ok..looks in great condition, no real damage to spine & pages the slight annoyance it looks like it's faded on the back I'm presuming sun damage although I couldn't be certain.
I don't see much said on here about Tiger blades, I've heard a few grumbles about platinum ones but I've just had a really pleasant 3 pass shave on my head with Tiger Superiors paired up with my1956 Gillette Super Speed Red.
If you've not tried these give them a go you might love them or might not. Just food for thought, Happy Shaves everyone.
Got a few samples sent through the post, I look forward to trying these in my 1956 super speed red.
Anybody any idea of what type of paint damage this is? And possible fix ? Sorry about pictures it's pretty sunny today.
I currently have some Brut Aftershave & whilst I don't mind it I'd prefer a smell to last a bit longer, I do prefer a musky smell ("like an old man" my wife would say) - Any recommendations of a long lasting / smelling musky aftershave that wont break the bank?
SOTD: Razor Gillette Super Speed red 1956 Blade: Stainless Feather Pre Shave: Proraso pre shave creams sensitive Soap: Proraso Red Post Shave: Brut Aftershave.
Very new to the club & I've made a few mistakes (buying cheap stuff on Amazon) but thought I'd try out my newly acquired Vintage Gillette 1956 super speed red for my daily head shave loaded with a feather razor (I told you I was new to the game 😂) to be fair I was a little nervous but only nicked myself once at the back of my head but to be fair if I'm going to nick anywhere with any razor it will be the back of my head. Overall I'm happy enough with the shave it's a very close shave but that's probably more down to the blade & not razor. I guess I'm feeling a little underwhelmed I'm not quite sure what I was expecting from 1956 super speed I wanted to say it was a big jump in quality from the cheap Benbaw I brought of Amazon but I can't , like I say it's my first shave with this razor so I can't dismiss it right off the bat that wouldn't be fair but a pleasant enough shave.
Oh I think I need a bigger/better bowl & brush again cheap Amazon purchases.
Thoughts guys ?
Am I missing out on anything? Predominantly a head shaver & my neckline. Any unsung hero's that people often overlook ?
My 2007 Volvo S80 recently started leaking Power steering fluid all over my drive, of course I took it to a mechanic to which he told me to go to Volvo and ask for a new power steering hose/pipe (I'm not sure what the correct term is). Volvo told me that they cannot source the part due to the age of the car, I then tried breaker yards who wanted £200+, I tried eBay, Swedish websites I just couldn't find the part, upon browsing on Reddit I saw Hydraulic places mentioned. I got my mechanic to take the hose/pipe off and took it to a few places I got a few "no we can't do that" - I tried one last place today expecting another "sorry no we can't do that" when the chap said "sure come back in an hour" it cost £29 which is insane fingers crossed it's plain sailing now with the mechanic just putting it back on but I'm so relieved. I wouldn't have thought of this had I not visited here so thanks guys very much appreciated.
Picked this up on eBay for a pretty decent price I think (£30) seller has 100% feedback said he was using this up until a year ago - what would you guys suggest when I get this ? Bit of warm water and dish soap clean ?
Hi guys I hope you're all doing well, I'm just about to jump into this distro after hearing some great things, I'm just wondering how my gtx 1080ti will perform (I'll post my hardware at the end of this post). I'm not looking to play AAA games the last game I brought was the Witcher 3 on steam haha! Do I need to do anything specific when I install this distro. I know this is an old card and certainly not the mammoth it used to be but buying a new card is not an option currently. What can I expect ?

Very new to the scene here & jumped in somewhat blindly last month & brought a Bambaw safety razor off Amazon and went off reviews, I should have come here first my bad 😞. I'm predominantly a head shaver aswell as my neck as I've a beard. Do you guys have some recommendations on a budget adjustable? Many thanks.
I love seeing all you guys collections but damn I'm jealous of the space you all have, I have a tiny stairs closet that serves as my office. I'm amazed I've managed to fit in what I've fit In but my brain is constantly thinking where else could I store Omni's 🤦🏻♂️😆
Newbie here loving this page although I fear my bank account will be cursing this sub Reddit very soon haha!!
Apologies if I'm asking a stupid question(s) but any tips on prepping my soap & bowl before I shave. I use Proraso (red tub) soap and a badger hair brush with a shaving bowl, currently I'm filling the bowl with hot water & leaving brush to soak for a minute before rinsing some of the water off the brush swirling the soap from Proraso then into the bowl but this is where it starts to get messy, The Proraso starts foaming over the top of the tub etc and then when I try to take the foam from the brush to the bowl I don't get too much it's pretty much stuck on the brush making me think should I just not use the bowl (I know this is incorrect). What am I doing wrong ? Do I need water in the bowl ? Sorry again if this sounds stupid but everyday is a school day right.
Hi Guys, hope you're all well?
I'll try and make this swift it's probably the same story as most here got fed up buying cartridges constantly for my head shaves that I looked into getting a safety razor (obviously I didn't look too long) so after a few Amazon review reads I settled on this along with some prasaro shaving soap & brush.
Now I've been shaving my head daily the past 15 years in the shower mostly with a cartridge razor which normally took me about 10 mins going against the grain to get a smooth finish.
Now I knew this might take a bit longer going into this but I don't know yes I'm new to it but it's taking me about 30-45 mins. The soap gets clogged under the razor every second and it's just not fun so much so that I'm considering going back to cartridge razors. I'm guessing this isn't a great razor and I feel I should use a quality razor before dismissing safety razors all together.
So as a begginer to saftey razors for a guy that shaves his head every night can anybody fire some suggestions? I've seen the leaf triple blade razor but I've a few moles on my head and I've heard people cutting them often when using the razor (I could be wrong).
Thanks guys.
Hi guys last month I posted on here regarding a power steering leak on my 2007 Volvo S80 2.4D I took it to mechanic who said it was a leaking pipe & to go to Volvo and order part Volvo said they don't stock that part for a car that old anymore, i couldn't source the part anywhere so thanks to the advice here I'd resigned myself to get this sorted at a hydraulics place to see of they could make me a pipe to replace old one to which I was going to do after my holiday at the end of this month. However something strange has happened the past 12 days the leak doesn't appear to be leaking or if it is it's leaking much more slower as I was having to top this up every 3 days how is this possible? Also I've had a dashboard warning light the past 6 months with regards to my inlet manifold (I've been to two garages with this they said if the car is running fine to leave it ?!?) but that warning light has also not come on for a while which is very strange. Any advice would be massively appreciated thanks guys.
