So... Do Bethesda games lack emotional impact in quests and characters?

I've been analyzing bethesda quests, and i've realized that playing these games, even paying attention to all the dialogue and environment, the times i actually felt emotional while playing were extremelly scarce.

The only time i can remember in Skyrim for example is the lighthouse murder mistery quest.

And now that i noticed it, i can't really get it out of my head. Especially after going through other games that despite being open world RPGs, still manage to make me emotionally invested in the story.

This wouldnt be a problem for me it it was only a game or two, but it seems it's a constant in bethesda, and mostly the reason why people always regard the stories in the games (Especially the main quests) really bad and forgettable.

Playing P classic HD bachelor campaign. Got through day one.

Finished the day with a revolver, a knife, a rifle, some bullets and 900 coins, is that acceptable?

Also, fuck the knife throwing guy near the theater at midnight, scared the shit out of me and i had to reload the whole Rubin interaction.

Will continue day 2 with my search for Schmowders.

5 month progress. Also a coloring practice, even if i'm not the happiest with the result. Should have gone for something more eterial, it looks flat and bland.

People care about you living, but not about how well you live.

What people fight for when facing someone with suicidal ideation isn't a fight for their quality of life, or a fight against those things that injure their well being. It's a fight purely against the act of dying. A fight for the perpetuation of the cycle of working, sleeping and suffering. NO ONE that's trying to help you momentarily really cares if your life genuinely sucks, if you want to rip out your genitals or put your face through a meat grinder so you don't have to look at it.

People don't care. Roping or not roping doesn't make a lick of a difference to them. They want to make their conscience clean by roleplaying heroes who stepped up to those in need. The problem? I still want to kill myself, yeah, you might have delayed it, but it will still happen because the reasons that made me try to do so are still there, and for some people they will never leave.

I feel disgusting, and looking at people makes me envious and angry

I hate being like this. I hate my body in every way, and that just ends up affecting other people because i wish i was like them. After i came out as trans to my parents, my mother just drilled into me that i'd be an "Ugly woman", and yeah, she was right, i hate my facial structure, my skin, my everything.

I can't help but HATE people who have it better than me on that.

I'll be sending my current sketch as reference on the comments, but the goal of the question is to inquire you fellow artists on what is a good way to progress after drawing the general shapes, forms and ideas. Or better put into word, what is the method YOU like to use, as methods in general are mostly unique.

Edit* I've been actively drawing for a month, so i'm still pretty lacking in actual knowledge.
