Question about stat-scaling on rings.

So I know how scat-scaling for weapons works in the sense that a weapon with frostdraw scaling will deal more damage with a higher frostdraw stat. But when I search up the best rings in Deepwoken, people always suggest the rings that give things like 1.2 times willpower scaling or 1.2 times strength scaling, and it kind of confuses me since people will suggest the ring that gives 1.2 times strength scaling to builds that don't run weapons that scale off of strength.

Having issues with keyboard layout after switching from ANSI to ISO

So i recently got a new peripheral keyboard for my laptop, and while the keyboard itself works perfectly, I am experiencing an issue with the symbols on the keys and whats actually being pressed. Since my laptop's keyboard was ANSI (The European layout) while my new one is ISO (The American layout,) it's as if my laptop still thinks I'm using an ANSI keyboard and is registering inputs based off of that. For example on my old keyboard holding in shift and pressing 7 would make a backslash, and while that still remains the case on my new keyboard, the symbols on the 7 key show an ampersand.

Do I have to use Paypal to buy the Sayo O3C? If not, what are some trustable sites to buy one cheaper / without Paypal?

I just don't want to buy it with Paypal + shipping costs quite alot of extra money since I live in Europe and shipping would both take ages and cost an arm and a leg. Just wondering if it's available on Amazon?

Looking for a good, midrange TKL 80% mechanical keyboard.

I am not very well-versed in keyboards, so if I am missing details feel free to ask for them.

As a laptop user who's laptops keyboard is starting to show visible signs of wear I am soon going to be buying a peripheral keyboard for my laptop, but after ages of looking I can't seem to find any good, midrange TKL mechanical keyboards that people colloquially agree to be good. I initially considered getting an Aula F75 Pro, but after hearing lots of build quality complaints I'm now not so sure. The only general consensus that I have found most people to agree upon is that Keychron is good, but they don't offer many TKL keyboards on their site.

My budget is around $100 maximum, preferably less though. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd prefer the keyboard to be black with a gradient to white/gray, but just black is fine too, and I'd like it to be normal profile. I'd like it to be wired, with the option of having bluetooth aswell and the material doesn't matter too much to me, as I'd benefit from an aluminum keyboard just as much as I'd benefit from a plastic one (Plastic keyboards are generally cheaper and more portable though, so they might be better for me.) I don't know too much about build quality and what-not, so as long as the build quality is good then I'm satisfied. I also would like the keyboard to be hot-swapable. And lastly (And also least importantly) I'd like it to be ready for use and "pre-lubed" out of the box, but this isn't a 'must' for me.

Is my phone meant to have a tiny bulge on the back?

I can't really explain this in a good way, but here foes nothing.

On the back of my phone, the side opposite to the screen, I can make out a little bulge, so small that I can't even feel it when glossing over it with my finger. I only noticed it around 6 months ago when I took off the case to clean it, and when I pressed down on the back it moved by like a millimeter or two. I know from my old laptop that sometimes small 'gaps' between for example the screen and the phone itself are made for shock absorbtion(?,) but the thing that has me worried is that the bumb is only around the middle of the back of the phone, and not around the top and bottom. Ever since I noticed the bulge, it hasn't gotten larger or smaller.

I have a Samsung S24 Ultra

I also noticed that when the phone is on, and I place my hand on the bulge, the area where the bulge is appears noticeably warmer than the rest of the phone.

Why am I suddenly feeling sad / worried?

Right now I'm on holiday at my dad's house in his home country, and I've always been a more quiet and "along for the ride" kind of person, who values personal time highly. However, a couple hours ago when i was just sitting at home I started to feel kind of sad / bored out of nowhere — my brother was out exploring the city, my dad was at work and everyone else at home was just kind of minding their own business. I just ignored this feeling, but I also at the same time felt kind of concerned for how I was being percieved by my dad and stepmother. This stems from earlier that day when I started to pick up on my dad and stepmother asking in to if I was happy or contempt weirdly often, seemingly out of nowhere, which made me feel slightly out of place, as if they were worried about me for a reason i wasn't aware of, and that me being more quiet and reserved, asking of less and generally not going out as much on the holiday up until that point was a sign of something they were concerned about.

All of these feelings kind of coalesced until my dad called me a couple hours ago. He asked me on the phone if I was okay again, and I responded yes, and followed it up by asking why he was wondering, to which he responded "You've just mostly been inside today so I was just wondering if you were okay" (For context while my brother had gone to the city I had only gone for a small solo-walk to a closer part of the city that day, and had been home in the living room ever since) This made me feel almost like a concern, like there was something he thought was going on with me that I myself wasn't aware of.

I still tried to just ignore this feeling up until about 30 minutes ago where my chest started tightening up and tears welled in my eyes, and I just decided to quietly cry a little bit while thinking about what was making me feel this way, but aside from the whole "feeling like a bother" thing which hadn't bothered me until a couple hours prior, nothing was out of the ordinary. I think I'm worried about if my dad and stepmother think I'm depressed or something like that, but I genuinely don't know what's making me feel this way.

Is this game similar to Conquest of Elysium 5?

I am strongly considering getting either Dominions 6 or CoE5, but I am mostly veering towards Dominions 6. However I do have some questions regarding Dominions 6, and how it compares to CoE5.

  1. Does Dominions have the same kind of "loose" vibe that CoE5 has diplomatically?

What I mean by this is essentially that from what I've gathered regarding CoE5, there aren't borders in the traditional sense of a literal dividing line between your land and an opponents land, and CoE5 has that thing where one of your outer towns can be taken by some tribesfolk without any border change in the literal sense. Your realm's influence and control is more so based on your armies range and the towns in your "territory" and stuff like that, rather than a line on the map explicitly saying that this land is yours.

  1. Does Dominions have the same focus on your main guy, who serves as a powerful mobile unit?

A pretty big thing about CoE5 I've picked up on, is that your main guy is this mobile demi-god that commands massive armies into battle, and can get better along the way through spells and levels (?). Is this also present in Dominions?

(Forgive me if my descriptions are quite vague, as I've never actually played either game — only watched gameplay on Youtube.)

I hate how age verification is being imposed on so many facets of social media now.

(KIND OF NSFW AHEAD, BE AWARE)

I am so fucking tired of these goddamn age restrictions that force you to provide a government ID to access the most menial, non-harmful websites and platforms on the internet. Like I can understand actual porn websites having age restrictions and just restrictions in general being imposed on them, but Rule34 has a requirement for a government ID now, and I just can't fathom who this is protecting anymore.

Like how is placing an age restriction on a platform that makes almost only art protecting anyone? Maybe children that accidentally stumble onto Rule34? But we're removing so much access to websites and even FUCKING SUBREDDITS at this point that it just feels ridiculous to me. It's like getting a cut on your finger, and to solve the issue you bandage your whole arm — Sure, it's helping your finger heal, but at what fucking cost?

We as a society can not pride ourselves in individual freedom, yet at the same time demand a passport be shown and demand that you hand over your fucking documents just to access the funny green website. Also in the end this isn't going to solve jack-fuck, it's like when the prohibition was imposed in the US; It didn't actually reduce alchohol consumption meaningfully, it just forced people to get their alchohol from more dangerous sources, driving up gang-on-gang violence and deaths from drinking bootleg moonshine. There are always going to be websites that bypass these bullshit restrictions, and people are going to use them if they have to which just means people are gonna get hacked more often as they're forced to use more shady websites for things that were once readily available.

I hate when people say "hear me out" in regards to conventionally attractive characters.

It's so frustrating when a conventionally attractive female character is refered to as a "hear me out", despite the fact that in order to "hear you out" about how you find a character or person attractive they need to be unconventionally attractive, ie. NOT generally considered attractive by most social and physical norms. NO — Lola Bunny, Loona, that one red dress-wearing bunny from Who Framed Roger Rabbit are NOT hear me outs, because they are colloquially and almost universally considered hot.

My current biggest desires for a future Civ VII DLC / Update

As someone with around 200 on Civ VII and as someone who played the game as soon as it released in its absolute earliest state, who has seen the game evolve over the last 1½ years, there is still some stuff left to be desired in my opinion. So here are my main features that I personally think are missing right now, in order from most to least impactful.

  1. Happiness should actually mean something:

In the most recent government / happiness overhaul, they added many new features surrounding happiness, but there is still much to be desired regarding it. In the developer update video on Youtube for the patch they claim that they want happiness as a yield to feel just as rewarding to gain as science and culture, but it just doesn't feel that way right now. Happiness means quite little. The added buffs and debuffs from high and low happiness mean quite little most of the time, and I'd love to see an expansion to happiness — perhaps it could have a similar effect that loyalty had in Civ VI, where settlements with low happiness could rebel and become independent powers or join other Civs. This could also be used to by extent make happiness more important as a yield, since high happiness could exert loyalty pressure on neighbouring settlements, and the debuff towards happiness should also obviously be very heavily amplified based on distance from a Civs capital. This would hopefully kill two birds with one stone, as it would both make happiness more important, and fix the issue of Civs forward-settling way too far from their capital, especially in Antiquity.

  1. Religion kind of sucks right now:

There's no sugarcoating it — religion kind of sucks gameplay-wise currently; Unlike in Civ VI which did religion quite well in my opinion, actually converting settlements to your religion feels much less impactful, since no matter how long that settlement has believed your religion, no matter how surrounded it is by like-minded settlements, all it takes is just two missionary charges to fully convince the settlements people that another religion is true, and unless you manually go and re-convert that settlement it will NEVER naturally go back to your empires standard way of life. This is objectively lame, both in terms of realism, immersion and fun. Religion doesn't actually feel like spreading the word of God to other people, it just feels like a less engaging game of whack-a-mole. And the solution is so painfully simple: Just re-add religious pressure, and 80% of the issues people have with religion would dissapear!

Why was there never a "Great Wall" outside of China / Mongolia?

Now I already think I kind of know the answer, and I think it can just be chalked down to the fact that the Mongols were a major threat, so it makes sense that Mongolia's closest neighbour, The Ming would build a wall to keep 'em out. And I am aware that the great wall existed long before the birth of Christ, and the Ming simply extended it, but the Ming still built a staggering 8850 KILOMETERS of wall during the era of Mongol pillaging.

But great threats like what the Mongol's were to China aren't unique to China, infact even the Mongols themselves went on to ravage much of Eastern Europe during that time aswell, and the Rus or Poland never built great fortifications to any remotely similar degree to what the Chinese did, why?

Even throughout recorded history, the greatest fortifications the world saw paled in comparison to the Great Wall — I mean Hadrian's Wall, one of the largest fortifications ever was only 117 kilometers long at its peak. Are the Chinese just particularly good at making walls or something?

Scraphouse not selling the Topper katana?

I'm trying to get an Edgewalker 3 Topper from the Scraphouse, but the Topper as a whole just isn't showing up at all in the shop rotation it seems? According to the wiki, the Topper should be sold at the Scraphouse, so am I just really unlucky? If it for some unknown reason isn't sold there, are there any other places that can potentially sell the Edgewalker 3 Topper?

Is there a mod that lets you remove a specific limb from your character?

The title explains most of what I'm looking for; A mod that actually adds a system to Kenshi where you can walk into a shop and have someone remove a specific limb of your choosing. If not that, then just a mod where you can remove a limb yourself.

BEEP IS THE GOAT

(Re-upload since the original I posted like 2 minutes ago vanished? Idk man, it's just gone and i didn't delete it)

So in my current Kenshi run it's just my main guy and Beep. I was out exploring this area called Stobe's Garden that I've never been to before (I'm quite new to the game) and I come across this "Crab Village". As my duo is about to leave, this guy called a "Crab Raider", alongside a bunch of Reaver Bandits rush the village, and all hell breaks loose. As I try to flee in the chaos, the crab raider from before rushes my duo with 2 massive crabs, and absolutely tears my duo a new one; my mains guy is out cold with a leg missing, while poor ol' Beep has most of his body parts just barely above 0 HP, while his left and right arms / legs are almost at -100 HP and hes also out cold. For days Beep and my main guy (Who is called Yu) lie in the sand, barely breathing (Luckily Beep managed to heal Yu's missing leg wound before being knocked down, stopping Yu from dying).

Beep eventually heals and wakes up enough to build some camp beds for Yu and him, where they sleep until all their (still intact) body parts have healed to full. I was sitting infront of my screen for a good 10 minutes while planning my duo's next move, and I decide that Beep — the glorious strongman that he is — must carry Yu on his shoulder's for what will end up being days most likely, until they reach the nearest settlement I know of, Black Scratch. The journey was long and ardous; skeleton bandits, reavers and filthy crab raiders lurked around every rock and tree, threatening to dismember my crippled Yu and severely encumbered Beep, but at long last they arrived at Black Scratch at the crack of dawn; tired, hungry and weak. Most of the shops have just opened, so I desperately search for a robotics shop, and luckily I find one! Even more luckily they had only one right leg in stock, which is the one Yu was missing. Beep single-handedly saved my run, with his courage, strength and willpower.

I hope they add more modern age leaders.

One thing I always found to be cool about Civ IV despite never playing it was that they actually had leaders from around the start of human civilization to the atomic age, with leaders like Churchill and Stalin. I can see why they didn't take this approach with Civ VI — in a way it almost feels too "experimental" and a little strange to have someone who died within some of our lifetimes in a game with such a broad timeframe, albeit very interesting.

But with Civ VII taking the approach of leaders being their own seperate thing from civs, and them also being a bit more loose with how they define "leader", it doesn't seem outlandish that they add a modern age ruler. But it'll probably be a less problematic figure than Churchill or Stalin, like maybe Edward Beñes or Che Guevara.

Kenshi's Anti Aliasing Is Bad.

Does anybody else think that the anti aliasing — specifically around foliage like grass and trees looks abysmally bad? I love Kenshi's asthetic, and the game looks really charming and good in my opinion, but the foliage looks so flickery and jagged, especially when I move my camera around which is why I've chalked down the issue to poor anti aliasing. I tried using the graphical overhaul mod Dust, which apparently has SMAA (a better type of anti aliasing compared to Kenshi's default, FXAA), but it looks identical, if not worse! Does anyone know some mod that adds better anti aliasing? Or is there some setting I'm missing?

[Mobile][2015?] 2D Birds-eye view space game

This was one of my favourite mobile games as a kid. I remember what the game looked like quite well and what the gameplay was like. You'd launch into space in a space shuttle (the one that looks more like a plane than a rocket), and a cutscene would play where some guy by the launch pad would be burned by the rockets flame and turn pitch black. From there you would fly around in space, looking down at the shuttle from a top-down birds-eye view, gathering coins I think while avoiding various threats like black holes that would suck you in and I'm pretty sure there were meteors aswell. This might not be correct, but I remember the game being called something along the lines of "Space Odyssey", but this might just be me misremembering.

Would a camera attached to the Voyager 1 space probe see Earth in the past?

I'm not sure if this is the correct subreddit for this question, but it made me really curious when i thought about it: so the Voyager 1 space probe is approximately 24 light hours away from Earth, meaning that the light from Earth takes 24 hours to reach Voyager 1 and vice-versa. Since our view of something is dependent on the light we recieve from it, we view other astronomical objects such as Proxima Centauri as they were in the past. So hypothetically if Voyager 1 had a camera capable of looking directly and clearly at me from that far away, would it see me doing what i was doing approximately 24 hours ago? I assume this is how it would be, and i mostly made this post as a rhetorical question because i think its quite interesting how we percieve distant objects, and also to really emphasize the insane distance Voyager 1 has travelled.

How did Kharaa spread out from 4546B after the events of Subnautica 1?

So in the end of Subnautica 1 Ryley Robinson manages to hatch the juvenile Sea Emperors and presumably cures 4546B by releasing the juveniles into the crater. I never really read too much into this, and just assumed that Kharaa was decimated and never left 4546B and infected humans. That was until Subnautica 2 came out, where the entire reason that the story takes place is because of Alterra sending out pioneers "mongolian style" to colonize new worlds in case Kharaa ravages the human core worlds. So how did Kharaa manage to take hold and cause a crisis for humanity if Ryley Robinson already found the cure? This is probably answered in some PDA entry, that i never found or read, but the wiki says nothing about the events that must have transpired for Kharaa to become another intergalactic pandemic for humanity, much like what happened to the Architechts.
