Everything, including me is covered in soy wax but I’m still happy with the results

Soy wax everything, when wax started cooling and changing colors, I used a hand mixer to whip it. Then used a baking sleeve to pour it. Now I see that I should’ve used more wax, because it doesn’t fluff up nearly as much as I thought.

Claim that pros use AI is because they are incapable of creating traditional art is just a projection

One of the most common and manipulative arguments that antis have, is claiming that pros aren’t capable to create art by themselves, so we have to use AI to substitute our lack of talent and creativity. It’s dishonest for few reasons. First, the underline is „you can’t create art, you have no say in discussing what art is.” Then, it’s usually followed with „you cannot critique my art, if you can’t do it as well, therefore you have no qualification to claim, that AI is art and my shit stain on paper is not.” Additionally, that argument is pretty much not true. A lot of talented writers use AI to visualize their stories. Musicians are using AI to make CD covers. Creative heads use it to fast track their projects that otherwise would require a lot of time and money. Something many people don’t have and before AI simply couldn’t create at all.

I encourage every fellow pro to post their „traditional” examples of art in order to combat this harmful and toxic argument antis are using to shut down discussion. I will provide some of my word in different media and I ask you for the same.

Fake moonswatch, massive dissapointment

I was eyeing a white moonswatch each time I passed swatch store. One time I did walk into the store and tried it on. I immediately felt disgusted by how cheap and plastic it felt. I decided to just buy a Chinese copy, because I still like the look, just not the price/quality ratio.

And turns out, the Chinese one is even more shit. Multiple people claiming that they have better quality and stuff, hell no. Plastic glass came already scratched. Some debris got stuck in movement and chrono 1 hour dial didn’t work. A moonphase is just a 12 hour dial. Movement clearly has a date complication but obviously it’s unused. There are visible mold lines, some are sharp even. And the worst part, strap has a yellow tint to it, giving it an old and dirty look.

By the way, it’s not my first Chinese watch. However so far I was buying homages and original designs, and while my experience was mixed, it never was an outright shit like that. The worst one I had before had faulty hands, but realigning them and tightening solved an issue.

I hate debate culture

Debates, both with strangers on the internet, and on universities absolutely sucks and lead to nothing but waste of time. It’s doesn’t matter if it’s a random reddit basement occupant or prestigious university professor. They use the exact same tactics and tricks to „win”. Because that’s what debates are about, winning. Not searching for truth or opening oneself to new concepts, but beating up the opposition, preferably in humiliating way.

The thing is, the methods people use in debates are stupid anyways. The oldest tricks are appealing to emotions and associating opponents with negative labels. It has nothing to do with merit, it’s simply throwing a tantrum and calling other side meanie. As long as you come off as a bigger victim, then you won. Other popular tactic is basically the screenshot above. They will take a statement, interpret it in the most ridiculous, unfavorable way, that basically no rational and literate person would ever come to similar conclusions as them. Then that mutated statement is used to make other side look evil or stupid. This entire method of debating hinges solely on hoping, that the other person doesn’t have ability to eloquently call them out for their actions, so it entirely depends on linguistic skills on the level almost nobody has, especially during a heated moment.

The above doesn’t exhaust the list of dishonest debate tactics, but I wanted to vent about those I dislike the most.

And on top of that, debates simply don’t work. Sometimes Oxford style debates have surveys before and after. And guess what? Barely anyone ever changes their mind after hearing a debate.

TLDR: arguing with people is stupid and a waste of everyone’s time. I do not invite to discuss me.
