I know I know it's Saturday. My boss has these Monday staff meetings and every meeting we all spend 15-20 min talking about what we did on the weekend.

I have this coming Monday off and told my gf that a nice benefit is avoiding this meeting.

Am I just bitter lol? I get along with my team and bosses but I just don't care about their personal lives. When I'm forced to attend these meetings and listen to their stories I feel like Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber when he says "I don't care!".

I hate that I have to fake giving a damn about X's wedding, baby, road trip, hunting trip, or whatever. They could tell me they met a celebrity or climbed Mt. Everest and all they'd get from me is a thumbs up. But I guess these situations are common in corporate accounting life.
