I watched 4 and like it’s was modernity bad not terrible.
even if you remove it from the 1st 3 movies it’s still pretty weak. the writing overall just felt lamer. less funny, worse pacing, etc.
also was it just me or did Jack black feel like he was just clocking in? Po didn’t feel nearly as confident or awesome as he usually does, even his writing reflects that. he just feels so…tame? in this movie lol I can’t descrive it too well, everyone trashes the Chameleon but Po felt more disappointing to me.
but on things I did like I actually did kinda like the Chameleon, obviously not as good as she could’ve been, but she had more potential than some give her credit for. I think the whole “too small to learn king fu” should’ve been more self loathing rather than something she actually faced, where in opposite to Po she couldnt embrace what makes her special herself so she tries to mimic others yada yada. shes more similar to Tai Lung than Kai imo.
also can’t complain ab the Tai Lung fan service. I was happy whenever he was on screen. Also this was subtle but even before he bowed to Po he didn’t even want revenge when he got out, just optong to go back to the spirit world. So it seems like he found peace for himself, which good for him he deserves it.
honestly I think the worst part of this sequel is how definitive it is to canon. Ironically bc the movie is all ab change lmao, but unlike sherk 3, even if they have an idea for a better sequel they can’t just ignore the bad writing they had before they HAVE to acknowledge annoying ass fox lady and how Po isnt gonna be the dragon warrior for much longer. Boooo.

Darkened the bg like asked, added a darker gradient for atmospheric and grading. Also a spot light w some hard shadows on the smaller ones to finish it up. Think it paid off! Technically didn’t change the shading just the vfx but still I think it looks better! If you still have some suggestions I’m open
You those comic book covers or illustrations that seem to have the shading/ rendering down pact? I feel like I’m missing something here that could make this more “complete” for lack of a better word. Sorry if this is vague I can’t seem to put it into words
I have my criticism on this show but dear lord the amount of people that need to be hand fed information and simply cannot read between the lines and then blame the show for not being clear enough makes me go insane.
Almost every “why wasn’t this explained in the show?” Lists something that was, just not read out to the audience like their 6 year olds.
Like trans Jax for example. Not only was it intentionally left mostly “vague” but it’s something hinted at since ep 5 that countless fans read on for over a year. His room, the maid outfit, etc like it was a decently popular theory, and the bow scene was like semi conformation if you have the reading comprehension above a 5th grader. But no apparently it “came outta nowhere”. Maybe just pay attention?
And if you point out these details the sakes fans will be like “your stretching” it’s so annoying.
