38 year old lyft driver from gambling to VT

I'm a 38 year old lyft driver with only 30k savings because of a bad habit in gambling some time ago. I make 300 dollars a day minus expenses and I've been subverting 85 daily into VT including weekends. I'm not in the best position even though I do not have children. I'm thinking of putting a good chunk of my songs into VT and to continue DCAing. Being high risk adverse this investment makes me feel the best. Any others happy with their VT investment?

I also fell into crypto in 2017 where I made money two years later but after that its been a bloodbath and led me to gambling instead of wise investing. I'm afraid I let my brother in law down by not speaking out against crypto and telling him the more wise investment approach. He also had lucky strikes but I think it's a zero sum game.

I wonder why its so hard for people and I'm talking about myself to listen to the the more experienced investors when they say invest in index funds.

Akash AKT

I'm about two days away from buying 8k AKT tokens unless something changes my mind drastically. Whats some of the best communities to follow for AKT news? I've been holding 100 tokens for as long as I can remember and while the lower apr did deflate me I didnt stop holding my small 50 dollar bag.

I'm looking for people to grow with that understand this project. The 8k in buying I'll stake and hold for the longterm. Any one have bull and bear thesis they're seeking to share? If not here publicly my DM is open.

Full Time Lyft Driver thinking of changing cities

Based on your current city what do you like and dislike about it? Im a marathon driver doing 60 to 72 hours a week behind the wheel. I'm currently living in Baltimore but this place is getting worse and worse with nonsensical violence.

If you could pick one city to drive in where would it be? And what do you like about the city you currently drive in?

Most miles you bought on a used prius

I have about 28k and my indecisiveness is kicking in. I found a great 2018 prius four the other day but has since been sold. It had 70k miles on it and cost was 16.5k if I remember correctly. What's the most amount of miles you'll look for on a prius you're buying. I heard i should shop from 2018 to 2022 with less than 100k miles but its more difficult than the bar exam.

I plan to drive 100 miles a day 6 days a week. 50 miles rideshare and the rest to my commute to mma gym and yoga studio and home.

All help greatly appreciated.

How many miles was it before you had to replace your battery? I may finance a prius XLE 2022 to 25. I'll be doing some lyft driving perhaps 1 to 3 hours a day in it but no more than that. Could you give me advice and include what you love about your year prius and why you think I should consider it.

"Redemption" by Larry Scott

Produced this in my room. Lyrics touch on Freddy Krueger dreams, being a "nice guy" to the chief of police, and asking God if He creates calamity. Inspired by real events.

Headphones recommended. Let me know if the outro hits you.

Diagnosed for a decade

I'm finally in a place where I can rest well. I'm on two medications for mood stabilizer ( abilify shot and Vraylar 3mg a day) When I got first diagnosed I was very foggy and didn't see any light at the end of the tunnel. I'm not cured I am much better than I was though.

I've started building my life completely around rest and sleep because that's just side effects. Slowly but surely I've been adding activities I actually enjoy over the past couple years. Basketball playing 1 to 2 times a week for exercise and socializing. The best memories are made with other people.

Now I'm getting ready to move into a new place from my mother who has done a exceptional job at taking care of me. Its time for us to go our separate ways though as she's getting older and wants to live in senior community. We've both gotten frustrated with one another in the past. I like to think we have a better relationship now than I did as a teenager and young adult.

The next chapter is seeing if I get disability benefits(my hearing is today.) If I do I'll be pleasantly surprised.

I w I uld like to add some BJJ, Yoga and weightlifting into my weekly routine between my sleep. I'm mostly looking for community nowadays.

14 hours until hearing

14 hours until hearing

Hello everyone,

I have a couple hours before my hearing with the judge. I feel a lot more at ease knowing my lawyer has my back and says I have strong evidence. I was a nervous wreck. I'm still of the mindset of be pleasantly surprised if approved and keep pressing forward if denied. My lawyer sent me questions that will be asked and I do feel at ease about those as well.

I dont really have any questions just wanted to give an update. Been pursuing ssdi for about 2.5 years now and tomorrow could be the ending of a long journey. I'll let you all know how it goes.
