If we speak against the Holy Spirit and repent afterwards, are we really going to hell? I'm confused, please help
I'm a bit confused. I was studying the Bible and came across this verse. Here is the verse in question:
“And so I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.” Matthew 12:31-32 (NIV)
What does this exactly mean? If someone says that the Holy Spirit isn't real, or that the Holy Spirit's works are of the devil, or anything against the Holy Spirit, they are doomed to hell even if they repent? That doesn't seem very loving or fair. Does this also mean if you don't believe a specific person has the Holy Spirit in them, that they are blaspheming the Holy Spirit as well?
Or am I understanding this all wrong? Please explain this to me like I'm 5. I'm a new Christian.
My one cat likes to sleep with my guests instead of me
I have two cats. Sushi sleeps with me and sometimes in my laundry basket lol.
However, my other cat Bubbles, loves to sleep with me every night.....except when I have guests over. For some reason he loves sleeping with guests when they're over. He is not shy. It doesn't matter who it is, or if he's met them before or not. He will snuggle right up to them, so much so that I have some guests that tell me they can't sleep because he curls up on their neck and they get a mouthful of hair.
I'm just wondering if this is normal behavior? Does he like other people more than me?
Got my first VA job and it makes me want to adopt a cat
I got a job as a vet assistant recently and I got the sudden urge to adopt a cat. Is this normal for someone just starting out in the field? I don't think it's a good idea because I have a year left to get my CVT license and need to focus on school right now. I know it's not a smart decision, as I will not have time for my cat. However, the urge is strong and hard to resist ever since I got this job. Working with the kitties, even the fractious cats, is really rewarding and my strong nurturing instincts kick in.
Just trying to see if this is normal and if anyone has any tips on how to resist the urge to go and adopt 5 cats? lmao
If black people can straighten their hair, white people can get braids
We will never get anywhere as a human race if we still scream cultural appropriation at every little thing instead of appreciating the sharing of different cultures, especially in the melting pot of America.
Fake boobs are totally unattractive!
A woman has a right to whatever she wants to her body for whatever reason, but those joints are absolutely hideous to me. Shits look like straight up cancerous tumors. I don’t even like seeing them in porn.
Some girls were doing witchcraft at my local coffee shop
I was at a local coffee shop that I attend weekly to do work on my laptop. They have a really nice outdoor patio. These girls had crystals set up on one of the tables and were doing tarot card readings and speaking spells out loud. I could have just gone inside but to me, the entire building was now unsafe due to the demons that were brought in. I complained to one of the baristas and she looked at me like I was annoying her and no one did anything about it. I left and haven't been back since.
It's a shame there are no Christian owned coffee shops in my area, otherwise I would frequent them. It's a shame because I really liked this coffee shop but they apparently support demonic things.
My question is, is this thing common for people in new-ageism to do this in coffee shops and is it something coffee shops generally view as acceptable and unlikely to discourage customers from coming in?
Any websites where you can read the Bible and will remember your spot/able to bookmark?
I am a new Christian and would like an online version to study, as I struggle with attention span and I personally like typing my notes and reading on a screen rather than a book, as I grew up this way. My goal is to use my iPad and phone for notes and use my laptop as my Bible.
Are there any websites (NOT APPS) that can allow me to read the Bible, starting anywhere, and bookmark my spot for next time I open the website? I do not wish to pay for any, so this feature must be available for free.

My Christian friend goes out on the weekends and gets drunk
I tried to post this in r/Christianity but I got hate for it, and people in the comments were trying to justify getting drunk. I got downvoted to oblivion just for asking this and was told to apologize, with one person even telling me they didn't believe the story. So let's try this again:
I recently told my friend, who is a Christian just like me, that getting drunk is wrong. I have known for awhile but have tried to respect her choices and respect her as a person. After becoming more involved in the church, growing a stronger faith with the Lord, I realized that, that does not serve her well. I have realized that we are called to confront our sisters and brothers in Christ about their sins, especially the people we are close with, to make them realize what they are doing is a sin against God. So I brought this up to her in a respectful and caring way. I told her how I overcame drunkenness and what helped me.
She wasn't receptive to it at all. She told me I was judging her and that I should just leave her alone. I was hurt by this and left the conversation at that and didn't bring it up again. It's been two weeks and I have tried to talk with her (not about that but talk in general) but she has been very short with me since.
How do I repair our friendship? I want to continue to be friends with her because she's fun to hang out with and she really is a wonderful person with a great heart, but I feel as though maybe our Christian beliefs aren't aligned. What do y'all think I should do?
Which iPad should I get for Procreate only, based on my preferences? (please read description)
I haven't purchased an iPad in a long time. The time has come for a new iPad upgrade, as my battery can't hold a charge for more than 3 hours while I work on projects, and it also lags if I'm on it for a long period of time. I do commissions occasionally but have recently started a new side job as an illustrator for a friend's children's book that she will be publishing. So I will be working on it a lot more than usual and need something that can handle 8+ hours a day of work. I don't use my iPad for anything else, just Procreate and then exporting files (although some of them are large), so I don't think I need much space. However, battery life and high performance are both very important to me. I don't need something that big, what I have now is fine (10.2 in).
My other question is, should I keep the original Apple Pencil (1st gen) for my new iPad or will an updated version of that enhance my Procreate experience?
Women Grandmaster titles should be abolished
I disagree with the WGM title. While I agree that this may have been a great thing in the past, to keep women safe and to encourage women to play chess, I feel as though this should be phased out in 2026. We have plenty of women playing chess now. We as women are not discouraged, discarded, or kicked out of tournaments like we used to be, and we are perfectly safe having combined men and women's tournaments. As a woman myself, I feel it is insulting (to me), to basically say, "Here's a title in which the requirements are lower, but still has the same outwardly level of achievement and recognition of the GM title." It's a bit insulting to insinuate that in today's age women are not capable of getting a GM title, when that simply isn't true. Women and men being separated in sports and having less requirements physicality-wise makes sense, but not in a sport where women and men have the same mental, and strategic capabilities. Are there less women in chess than men? Yes. So what. There are more women in sports like gymnastics and volleyball simply because more women tend to enjoy those sports more. You don't see men crying out about it. Men and women have different interests as a whole and that's okay.
Looking for a Christian church in the area
Hi new neighbors! I will be moving to Seattle from the midwest soon, and am looking for a new home church. My husband and I are Lutheran Christians but are open to non-denominational. We don't just want a feel good church that is more about motivational speaking; we are looking for a church that teaches the hard stuff too.
Which churches do y'all recommend? Neighboring suburbs are also fine.
I just graduated and passed the VTNE. Which stethoscope do you recommend? I am looking at getting a Littman but am unsure which one I should get. Money is tight for me because obviously I have student debt and won't be making much going into the field as it is.
