Looking for some advice on how to vent a budget. I am currently sanding some planks of plywood and the dust is killing med. During the day I have the door wide open with a box fan (I don’t think it is doing much). I closed the garage maybe an hour or to later and then came back later that night and I was chocking on dust.
My question is how do you vent? I am not a rich man so the cheaper the better!

Hey! I am trying to replace an existing light switch and I am confused as hell. I (turned everything off) and unscrewed the face plate and removed the switch itself to find that the live wires and the ground wire are soldered onto the existing switch. I have wire strippers but am not sure if that will work? Can I just cut the wires themselves and then plug them into a traditional switch?

Hi! My friend lost his dads original "grooming kit" from the late 1950's-60's and was wondering if anyone has seen another? It is a small leather red case that is 1" by about 5" tall, and contains a comb and a nail file. I have attached an image of something similar but is the wallet version. Thanks!

Hey Reddit! I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions for my situation.

I will, in perpetuity, be receiving $38,000 a year. $7,500 will be going into my Roth (maxed out) but the rest is mine to spend. I currently have a 401k that I have been adding between 10-15% each year for almost 10 years and am feeling comfortable with what I am putting in (I know I could always add more but for this argument lets assume I won't). I am fortunate enough to have no debts so this money is "fun money". And by that I mean I will have $30,500 to spend/put wherever I want. I have no intention of just spending it on random things just because, but I will probably use $5000(ish) for a nice trip each year.

What would you suggest I do with this money? Is there another investment opportunity that has a barrier entry of cash? I assume property is the most obvious choice to invest into but any and all suggestions are welcome.

Long title but it is what happened. They were incredibly great about the whole process and refunded our tickets, however I talked to them and because I am flying out the offered to buy me a new duffle bag and 2 days worth of clothes for the return trip as we will not have time to replace them before we leave. My question is what is an appropriate amount to “spend”. I don’t want to be an asshole and have no intentions of buying Gucci, but also I’m not going to goodwill. My initial guess was between $500 and $700.

Hey! I am a 33M and these splotches will come up every so often. They don’t hurt or itch and will go away usually after 24 hours. I feel like they tend to come on after exercising (running) but not always. It also shows up on my pelvis. Thanks!
