AerynOS is immaculate (My fav)

AerynOS is immaculate (My fav)

Yes, it's experimental, and not suggested in cases where failure might cost. I'm not having ANY issues so far though.

Despite all the warnings, it'll not touch anything else on the ESP and XBOOTLDR. But it needs a fresh dedicated partition for the root. (Lichen installer. It's TUI but still decent)

Furthermore, I copied this to my bcachefs partiton, on a subvolume for it, alongside fedora, cachyOS and gentoo.

Had to do some manual config for rootfs since it doesn't autodetect bcachefs. (Anyways, that's another post)

Vishnu/Krishna himself is sustainer of maaya (And kaama)

Arguable, Krishna is maaya.

Where I live, around me, by various traditional yet somewhat open-minded priests and scholars suggest the Vishnu Sahasranama as a way to stabilize worldly problems, and for success in cases like love, wealth, progeny, and unofficially even sexual life, communication skills, etc...

>NOTE Maaya i.e. manifestation of reality physical and beyond, desire, fulfillment, and other feelings, as well as consumption and/or enjoyment is a creation of God, inseparable from a living soul.
NOT derogatory despite what orthodox supremacist sects claim

Visnhu Sahasranama (1000 epithets of vishnu), 1st half of 70th verse:

>कामदेव: कामपाल: कामी कांत: कृतागम:
The deity/lord/god of lust/desire, one who protects and maintains lust/desire, the (highly) desrious one, the one desired (the most), so is he known/come by.

Similarly, in the Vishnu Purana and Bhagavata Purana, Kamadeva is explicitly identified as a name of Vishnu, signifying that (in my opinion at least) desire, love, lust, are parts of an ordinary householder's life.

In at least one context, Kamadeva is considered an incarnation or emanation of Vishnu, specifically manifesting as Pradyumna, the son of Krishna (an avatar of Vishnu) and Rukmini.

YES, YOU READ THAT RIGHT: God of love, desire and lust is son of Krishna.

(After being incinerated by Shiva, Kamadeva returned to existence through this lineage, reinforcing the idea that divine love and desire are important aspects of Vishnu.) [citation needed]

In bengal esp., in various esoteric tantrik sects, it is believed that Visnhu is closely related to Shiva's wife in the sense of sharing the underlying essence of existence.

"Krishna is Kali, Kali is Krishna" is widely believed in said sects. They even share the same seed syllable (often not openly taught for obvious reasons, IDK the exact syllable yet). -- But we all know what ISKCON says regarding this aspect.

Moreover, Kali is worshipped as Mahaamaaya, the supreme manifestation of reality.

Texts like krishna-yaamala see Radha as a form of the supreme goddess, practioners/devotees are encouraged to engage in worldly desires in a controlled manner. (I'll admit I haven't personally read this one, take it with a grain of salt)

This is speculative theory however, that Atharva-vedic Varuna is Visnhu. But several sects in Gujarat (Narmada and around) do believe it.

There are lots of potent magic spells related to worldly desires, curing karmic tensions (the terms are different not "karma"), warding diseases, fixing relationships, making a man or woman fall in love with you, etc... In the Atharva-veda

It might not be a surprize for indians to know that goddess Lakshmi is literally known as the "goddess of wealth, of prosperity".

In Vishnu-centric tantras, she is considered the feminine expression of Vishnu.

In shiva-centric tantric manuals, Vishnu is considered a form of "Shakti", the feminine counterpart of SHIVA.

Shakti is liberally called "maaya", the consort of Shiva.

Doesn't ISKCON say that lust is perverted form of love for Krishna? Non-corrupted scripture says it is a manifestation of the same, divine.

WIthout the installer, rootfs tarball or pacstrap-like or whatever?

I want to install aerynOS on a bcachefs subvolume (I AM AWARE it's not officially supported but it supports all the required features, I AM WILLINGLY taking the risk).

AND, I also prefer to install it through the existing fedora/gentoo installation I have (I AM aware of selinux labelling in case of done through fedora)

How?

I am not finding any manual for moss, nor an aerynOS container/chroot image, nor a tarball.

What am I supposed to do?

Proving an unrelated statement implying proof to otherwise unprovable statement

What is this fallacy?

It is very common among religious fanatics.

You have a statement or theology, which has holes in it, which you question.

First they accuse you of not having a guru and all, then call you "irrational" because you don't blindly believe in their interpretation of their scripture, then you are "narrow-minded" because you don't agree to their perspective, and it continues

(😆 Irony abound)

Then comes cherry-picking from other scriptures. (Beyond the scope of this post)

Then aggressive strawman and ad hominem.

(The former is to repeat your argument but in a more reduced and absurd way to make countering you easier.

The latter is to circumvent the argument and attack YOU the arguer instead)

Then comes this. They "prove" multiple statements and ideas by quoting scriptures, cherry-picking or context-firm, BUT the point they are proving isn't related to the argument.

The main statement/idea is 'X', they prove 'Y' and 'Z' through all possible quotes and means...

The fallacy is in strongly implying that Y and Z being proven proves X.

It doesn't, and the moment you point it out the same continues.

This can fool someone not knowing the intricacies of said scripture and just coming by reddit.

Is there a name for this fallacy?

Surya as Para Brahman

Something struck me while going through some old texts recently. We usually think of the Sun as one deity with one job, giving light, marking the day and sustaining life on earth. But that's not really how the old texts talk about him. They call him omnipotent. Omnipresent. And the same lines that glorify Shiva, or Vishnu, or Devi, they just turn around and say, yeah, this is the Sun too. It's the same one.

Take Sri Rudram, or Rudradhyaya as it's also called. Before the actual hymn even starts, there's a whole preliminary section chanted called the Sri Rudra Laghunyasa, and it opens with a viniyoga line, basically an attribution line, that tells you who you're really praying to.

संकर्षणमूर्तिस्वरूपो योऽसावादित्यः परमपुरुषः स एष रुद्रो देवता ।
saṅkarṣaṇa-mūrti-svarūpo yo'sāv ādityaḥ paramapuruṣaḥ sa eṣa rudro devatā
"The deity of this hymn is that Supreme Person who is the Sun, whose form is Sankarshana. He alone is this Rudra."

Before a single verse of Rudram is even chanted, in this opening line of the Laghunyasa itself. Rudra is Aditya. Not similar to. Not symbolic of. Is.

And then there's Devi. Sri Suktam actually calls her by the Sun's own colour.

आदित्यवर्णे तपसोऽधिजातो वनस्पतिस्तव वृक्षोऽथ बिल्वः ।
ādityavarṇe tapaso'dhijāto vanaspatis tava vṛkṣo'tha bilvaḥ
"O you who are of the colour of Aditya, from your tapas the Bilva tree was born."

Aditya-varne. Same colour as the Sun. And it's not a one-off line either, because elsewhere she's described sitting right inside his disc.

भानुमण्डलमध्यस्था भैरवी भगमालिनी ।
bhānumaṇḍala-madhyasthā bhairavī bhagamālinī (Sri Lalita Sahasranama)
"She who dwells in the centre of the Sun's own disc."

His orb (SuryaMandala) becomes her seat, basically. So Shakti isn't off somewhere separate from the Sun, she's using him as her own visible throne, in a sense.

And Vishnu, well, that one's almost too easy. Surya's own name is Surya Narayana. Narayana. That's just Vishnu's name, sitting right there inside the Sun's name.

Okay but here's where it stops being "oh nice comparison" and becomes something a lot heavier. The Rigveda says:

सूर्य आत्मा जगतस्तस्थुषश्च ।
sūrya ātmā jagatas tasthuṣaś ca (Rigveda 1.115.1)
"Surya is the Atman, the Self, of everything that moves and everything that stands still."

Not a self. The self. Of the entire universe, moving things, still things, all of it.

And the Taittiriya Aranyaka doesn't even leave room to argue with it, it just says:

आदित्यो वा एष एतन्मण्डलं तपति । असावादित्यो ब्रह्म ।
āditya vā eṣa etan maṇḍalaṃ tapati, asāv āditya brahma
"This Sun who heats this orb, that Sun is Brahman."

That's from the Suryopanishad section of it. And it really doesn't say represents, or symbolizes, or points toward. It says is.

The jyotish side of it. In Vedic astrology Surya is called the Atmakaraka, which just means the significator of the soul. Every other planet handles something, the mind, money, siblings, whatever. Surya alone handles the Self. And that's not some invention astrologers came up with on their own, it's basically lifted straight from that Rigvedic line, atma jagatah. If Surya's the self of the whole universe, then of course in a birth chart he ends up being the self of the individual too. Same logic, just zoomed in.

And it goes even further than that, honestly. Surya isn't just one planet sitting among nine others. He's kind of the power source all the others plug into. The Linga Purana actually names seven main rays coming off him, and each one is said to activate a different planet. Sushumna activates Chandra. Vishvakarma activates Budha. Vishvavyacha, Shukra. Sannaddha, Mangal. Sarvavasu, Brihaspati. Svarat, Shani. And Harikesha activates the whole nakshatra mandala. So really, every planet's light is just borrowed light. It's Surya's light, just rerouted through whichever ray belongs to that planet.

Which is, honestly, exactly why astrologers do what they do when a chart is a mess. You know, heavily afflicted, nothing working, remedy after remedy for this planet or that planet just doesn't land. Eventually they stop chasing individual planets and go straight for Surya. Strengthen the Sun. Because if every planet is running on his energy anyway, fixing him is like fixing the main supply line instead of patching each broken wire separately.

So jyotish isn't really adding meaning to a planet here, it's just repeating, in its own language, what the Veda already said ages ago. Surya, Devi, Shiva, Vishnu. Not different things. Same light.

There's also the Shatapatha Brahmana, which comes at this from a slightly different angle. In its Pravargya section the Sun keeps getting addressed under different functional names, Yama, "the one who controls everything here," Prajapati, "lord of creatures," and there's this bit where he unites with Savitri and shines together with Surya in the ritual formulas of Vajasaneyi Samhita 37. Doesn't matter which function you pick, cosmic order, control, creation, it all loops back to the same Sun.

And then Vishnu comes up again, among the twelve Adityas themselves. Dhata, Mitra, Aryama, Shakra, Varuna, Amsha, Bhaga, Vivasvan, Pusha, Savita, Tvashta, and, yes, Vishnu. That last name isn't just borrowed for the list. Srimad Bhagavatam 8.13.6 says it outright:

अत्रापि भगवज्जन्म कश्यपाददितेरभूत् ।
आदित्यानामवरजो विष्णुर्वामनरूपधृक् ॥
atrāpi bhagavaj-janma kaśyapād aditer abhūt, ādityānām avarajo viṣṇur vāmana-rūpa-dhṛk
"The Lord himself was born here from Kashyapa and Aditi as the youngest of the Adityas, this is Vishnu himself, who took the form of Vamana."

So the Vishnu sitting among the twelve Adityas isn't some lesser deity that happened to share the name. It's Vishnu. Actually him. Born as an Aditya, and later stepping out as Vamana to measure the three worlds in three strides.

Put it all together and, I don't know, it kind of stops feeling like coincidence after a while. Rudram's own opening line calls Aditya Rudra. Sri Suktam calls Devi Aditya-varna and gives her his own disc to sit in. Vishnu's carried right inside the Sun's name, and shows up again as one of the twelve Adityas by birth. The Rigveda calls him the Self of everything, moving and still, and the Taittiriya Aranyaka just flatly says, that Sun is Brahman. And jyotish, in its own way, says the exact same thing, Surya is the Atmakaraka, the soul's own signifier, and every other planet is just running on light he handed them.

Hari Aum Tatsat.

Verse analysis: Srimad Bhagavatam 10.29.45 and 46

Recently came across this quote on reddit and I am taken aback. What do you guys think of this?

Source: Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 10.29.45-46

>Śrī Kṛṣṇa went with the gopīs to the bank of the Yamunā, where the sand was cooling and the wind, enlivened by the river’s waves, bore the fragrance of lotuses. There Kṛṣṇa threw His arms around the gopīs and embraced them. He aroused Cupid in the beautiful young ladies of Vraja by touching their hands, hair, thighs, belts and breasts, by playfully scratching them with His fingernails, and also by joking with them, glancing at them and laughing with them. In this way the Lord enjoyed His pastimes.

Beat adult=abuse, beat kids=discipline, indian parenting is just abuse

When an adult beats another adult it's abuse/battery/assualt/SA/Felony/blahblah, when a parent beats there kids its discipline, when an adult makes an opinion or constructive critisism they get praise, there opinions are welcomed, if anyone tries to shut them down it's a very bad thing, when a kid does the same he is "badtameezi," gets verbally abused, physically beaten and threatened bcuz we r jus kids who r supposed to have no rights and r owned by our parents, indian parents just guilt trip children, traumatize them by their stupid fights, treat their mental health like it's nothing but when they have a bad day at the office its the end of the office and the children deserve to know their struggle and must be the victim of there abusive venting bcuz its apparently our fault that they are unsuccessful and unhappy in life and we are the bringer of hope who will make the family multi billionaire by cracking mit bits iit niit go to the moon and plant their names 🤡

This sh** has gone way too far.

Like who tf does the flipping police think they even are. How tf can they dictate children how to dress. Ts is easily comparable with laws in North Korea.

Last month nepal banned ts in their country where basically no school can force their children to cut their hair and they have basic freedom. We as a more developed country are more backward.

They do ts even to girls. They have to wear a white ribbon and if they ain't wearing one these freakily creepy pt sirs are there to freak out on them. These pt dudes be thinking they tuff or smth idk. They got this look on this face while catching children with lil longer hair. They look as if they are doing some justice to this world and they saving the world from an apocalypse or smth.

What are your thoughts on this?

And they will catch you even for short hair. According to them it doesn't look good in public. TIER 1 CITY BTW

my visualisation of devi suktam — rigveda 10.125

i tried to create a pictorial representation of the DEVI SUKTAM देवी सूक्तम (RIGVEDA 10.125) purely from my own understanding and visualisation.

what fascinates me about this hymn is that devi doesn't appear merely as one deity among many. she speaks in the first person as VAK (speech), describing herself as the power that moves with the gods, sustains them, empowers them, grants nourishment and wealth, the divine power through which the gods themselves function and pervades the entire universe.

THE SYMBOLISM :

⚡ INDRA (इंद्र) — upper left, represented with lightning.

🏹 RUDRA (रुद्र) — below indra, with the bow, referring to devi's declaration that "she bends the bow for rudra."

🌊 VARUN (वरुण) — the blue figure below rudra, with waterfalls, lotuses and fishes.

🔨 TVAṢṬṚ (त्वष्टा) — below varun, with the chisel, hammer and weapons, representing the divine craftsman.

🌍 DHARA (धरा) — placed in front of tvaṣṭṛ, representing the earth as the ground and material foundation of existence.

🪙 BHAGA (भग) — on the right with the golden vessel and treasures, representing prosperity and the distribution of fortune.

🌾🐄 PUSHAN (पूषन्) — above Bhaga, surrounded by crops and the cow, representing nourishment and sustenance.

👥🌿 the ASVINS (अश्विनौ) — the divine twins above pushan, associated with healing and rescue.

🌬️ VAYU (वायु) — represented by the swirling movement in the sky.

🌧️ PARJANYA (पर्जन्य) — represented by the rain cloud and falling raindrops.

🌙 SOMA (सोम) — represented by the moon.

✨ Dhruva (ध्रुव) — placed beside soma as the fixed celestial point.

☀️ ADITYA (आदित्य) — represented by the radiant sun.

🔥 AGNI (अग्नि) — held directly in devi's left hand.

note ⚠️ -

this artwork is purely an ARTISTIC INTERPRETATION based on my understanding of the hymn’s meaning, and is NOT INTENDED TO REPRESENT A CANONICAL VEDIC DEPICTION.

my sincere apologies for any inaccuracies or mistakes in the depiction of the deities in this artwork.

thank you 🙏🏻

"Enlightenment" isn't a discernible fine line or milestone

The word: en-light-en-ment

Basically to bring light.

In the spiritual context, it means to bring forth realisation and understanding yet not achieved.

It is a gradual process where you understand the abstract self ... And someday you know a lot.

*Gradual*. Page-by-page. Slowly.

Not the sudden flash of light at midnight... Maybe for some but not for all.

There is no language. It is abstract. The supreme doesn't descend to your language. You are raised and elevated to that understanding.

The feelings and experiences of vastness and spaciousness are the result of your outer consciousness trying to peek inward into your inner self.

The reduction of limitations. The revelation of the spiritual.

Who else felt guided ?

Before I read texts, before I knew the word tantra or mysticism, when I was not logically conclusive regarding my spiritual or religious position, I knew many of what we describe. Not all maybe.

I was and still am firm in my dislike for OCD-like rituals.

I was and still am firmly in belief that rituals, customs, spells, all are primarily centred around the will.

Over time, I slowly leaned towards meditative practices and became calmer... And less hateful than others I live with.

When I read tantra doctrines, Upanishads, the Ashtavakra Gita, I feel familiar.

Like this is what I am meant to do. I already know this... Somehow

I am interested in the rigvedic pantheon and shiva-related tantra-related culture but not to practice either of them much,

MAINLY I yearn a dress-free raw knowing and experience of the divine.

Not that I never wish, look up to Indra/Rudra, or do spells at all.

Who else shares this experience with me?

How do I "reset" the algorythm?

I have left all my previous political subreddits and focus exclusively on mysticism and surrounding subreddits.

But that transition isn't really understood by the algorithm, which still recommends and promotes as per my previous interests.

How do I "reset" or "force-forward" the algorythm to focus specially on mysticism and esoteric spirituality content? (No, not religion)

What is that freeing and blissful feeling which takes over you?

[EDIT yes it is me knowing my eternal sovereign state but I was dumbfounded for some time despite that. Yes, I now know why people warn against direct full-jump in this path]

Of the comforting darkness and of the radiant luminance. Of the refreshing fullness and expansive emptiness. Of nothing... Which is greater than existence itself.

Liberating yet I yearn for it.

I want to be it... But that's what I fundamentally am... beyond even my discernible existence.

Yes, contradictory at the same time.

If I meditate for a considerable amount of time in silence, at random times when I remember God (as formless indra/shiva), or sometimes when I wish...

I just feel like giving up everything and my existence too just to dissolve into that bliss.

My luxuries, comfort, my crush, anything just for this feeling. (or course I wouldn't yet seriously just give up all)

Those moments my intuition is heightened and I feel like I am guided, like I am taken care of, that I am meant for this experience.

There are measurable things happening around me, as if things are aligning around me.

It's as if it's God godself manifesting raw and pure...

Anyone has more info?

I am not 100% sure yet... But hail Indra hail rudra.

Am I unbanned now?

I have made 2 appeals so far and today is my 3rd one. I shall submit only after confirming.

Because the mod of this subreddit in a particular reply informed me that "you are also not banned"...

(This shadowban was after multiple accounts with varying patterns of ban evasion I committed out of desperation. I have admitted it in the appeals so far.)

UPDATE: I am unbanned now.

reddit.com

Banned since I touched a particular subreddit

Disclaimer: THIS account is in question. But I shall tell more below.

I was a rather active power user of reddit up until the last month. With multiple accounts for different groups of interests.

Since I started interacting with RigvedicHinduism subreddit, I have noticed strange things.

> > Also you might like to notice that it's a graveyard of deleted and EXPLICITLY banned accounts. Something is not right there.

> > Not much discussion goes on despite there being lots of opportunities.

> First and foremost, "Sorry, this post was removed by reddit's filters" for NO reason.

And then EXPLICIT bans when I tried again. For 2 serially created accounts. (No shadowban yet then)

> 4-5 account creation attempts. All permabanned right after creation.

> Then, whether I used a VPN, a new mail, or something else, all permabanned.

> I combined ALL of it. It worked. THIS is that account.

> Posts were "removed by filters" but comments and upvotes worked... With absolutely no views.

> When I was too lazy to set up the VPN and all and decided to just see without logging in...

> **My comments just didn't exist. My upvotes were not calculated for. My profile... "is banned".**

THIS is my final created profile. I am banned and have myself confirmed it.

How do I unban myself? What's going on with that subreddit?

reddit.com
u/SweetEbb9819 — 2 months ago

Just something mysterious ... Sahasraksha Varuna be knowing

Basically, just browse a few posts and comments. Things get interesting.

> [Dustbinned] (okay, dileet-ed)

See how common it is. And apart from that the no. of folk who publish commentaries small to big, who are banished for eternity(you know what I mean)

This is like an ancient battlefield aftermath. The place which has no physical existence, is full of lifelessness.

Of representative profile covers rather than central people. Quite a few covers are repetitive and belong to the same entity (and multiple such entities)

Reason: IDK. May Indra and Varuna guide us to light.

I got at least 8-12 of my representative profile covers kicked out since I started interacting with the wonderful people of rigvedic hinduism here. I am back here wearing a multi-layered onion mask and a rather unreactive proton (do ask in comments if you fail to understand)

Of course, the shadow fallacy. You exist, your existence alters the matrix, your actions are registered. "get out" of this matrix, view sovereign unexistive, your existence seems a bluff.

Of course, I speculate many of you rigvedic folks suffer the same fate here. The town is rather suspiciously lifeless.

If my humble submission here is acknowledged by anyone of you, you do see it, kindly let me know of your opinions.

(Language is intentionally convoluted and confusing, please try to understand)
