Hey Insta360, PLEASE make these solid instead of blinking!

Hey Insta360, PLEASE make these solid instead of blinking!

These lights (on the x5 camera and on the mini remote) slowly blink nothing/red while recording. No biggie, right? I exclusively record on a motorcycle, where every second I’m not looking at the road is dangerous. If at LEAST the remote button would just stay a solid red that would be so much better, then a single quick glance would verify my camera is recording, instead of a glance “oh it’s blank, is it on or not?” Then another glance “maybe I missed the red light… or maybe it’s off….” Then another glance “ah, red, it is recording” The very slowly flashing red light is incredibly frustrating and dangerous for me, a frustration that’s compounded by the fact that this equipment is supposedly designed for action sports. This is bad and dangerous design IMO

2026 Hybrid Calligraphy trim, great! For 14.5 hours

Bought this car yesterday at 4pm, today at 6:30am the check engine light came on, error code P00D200. Close to $60k after everything said and done and it didn’t make it one single full day before becoming a problem.

Bad luck? Or did I just buy an expensive rolling pile of crap?

Need help from ‘21-‘25 RT owners

Can some folks with ‘21-‘25 R1250RT tell me, when your windscreen is fully raised does it touch at the bottom like this? 2nd pic shows the spot from the front of the bike. Mine touches right here and I’m not sure it should. Just curious, thanks

Angine… De Poitrine!

Had to put some “unpainted” fairings on since BMW doesn’t sell them in Alpine White any more. Decided to go Angine style for a while before I get them painted white

At least he had his safety fedora on

The A in "ATGATT" stands for "all", just FYI

Comin' down the mountain...

Last time I posted a video I said I don't understand why people who *can* ride a motorcycle don't ride a motorcycle. Luckily a lot of people decided my question wasn't meant in a rhetorical sense at all and proceeded to tell me all the reasons why someone wouldn't ride a motorcycle. Thanks for the explanations.

I still don't understand. It's so fukkin' great

Light weight slip on for R1250RT?

I want to ditch the heavy stock can on my 2022 R1250RT, but there’s not a lot of options? Need to keep the center stand, and would prefer to spend less than the $1,500 Akra wants for theirs… anyone know of anything?

u/SwiffleTitz — 1 month ago

Honestly, why would anyone who *can* ride a motorcycle not be riding a motorcycle?

I just don't get it. It's just so fuckin' great

People who’ve owned both, is this redundant?

Is the BMW R1250RS different enough from the RT to be a good second, sportier bike? Or is the S1000RR the choice. I have a 2022 RT that I love, and am exploring getting a second sportier bike for shorter rides through the local canyons

Edit: I own a 22 RT for long rides, looking for something sportier for day trips or just quick rips through local canyons

What’s a comfortable mileage for a 3 day round trip?

Starting to get a taste for multi-day rides, I want to do a 3 day/2 night loop around Lake Tahoe, up by Lake Almanor then back through the California central valley, it maps out as about 600 miles with most of it being very twisty, technical riding. Is that a good distance for a 3 day trip? Or too short? I can ride 200 miles a day comfortably enough, but getting to my hotel and it’s only 2pm seems a bit lame

Ok or replace? Please see context

Context:

- 5mph, front right fork slider banged into trailer hitch of a truck.
- Critical! This is on a BMW R1250RT, the forks handle NONE of the suspension, they aren’t even sprung, they’re for steering and wheel alignment only, the telelever shock at the front deals with all of the actual suspension
- Damage is about an inch below lower triple tree
- Gouge is less than 1mm deep (about half a mm or 1/32”)
- Forks have been turned on a gauge and are perfectly straight

Can get a new right fork but looking at $800 or more used, over $2k new. Thoughts? Am I nuts to ride on this?

Feeling a bit nervous

Gonna sound weird, but in my many many years of riding I’ve always been strictly an “out and back” rider; leave in the morning, ride all day, home by evening. Tomorrow I’m taking my first ever overnight trip. I can’t imagine why I’m nervous, both days will be on roads I’ve traveled dozens upon dozens of times, the only difference is that instead of riding for 5+ hours and being home, I’ll ride 5+ hours and be at a hotel then 5+ hours back home the next day. Why would I be nervous?

Anyone here have a 2026 R7? Thoughts?

I’m looking to add a sport bike for day rides in the local canyons, currently own a BMW R1250RT and a Versys 1000, the Versys is boring the crap out of me and I want something lighter and way more engaging. Was looking at an RS660 or GSX-8R, I dread the Aprilia maintenance issues and am not excited about the 8R looks… the R7 seems like a great combination of the sportier nature of the 660 with the reliability of the 8R. Reviews seem to be pretty glowing for the 2026 R7, would love to hear from anyone that actually owns one, thanks.

Does this actually mean Immediately flood my feed with more of this crap?

Because I feel like that’s what it actually means

Anyone else enjoy just being in your helmet?

I’ve never understood the desire to wear no or even a half helmet. I enjoy the feeling of comfort of having my head completely encased in a full face helmet. It’s my own little world, where no one can bother me and I make all the decisions. It’s a nice place to be

A little ride today

5 hours, 150+ mile loop. Nice to get out and just ride. I just wish this bike was more engaging. If I push it hard it starts to wake up, otherwise it’s just a puppy dog napping in the sun that seems a little surprised and confused when you disturb its rest
