Why do I find venture and Vendetta harder than Tracer?

So I understand that Vendetta got some nerfs and that Venture hasn’t been good in a while and that tracer is considered to be a better hero than both, but I thought that was mainly because tracer is supposed to be a harder hero to play.

I feel like I picked up tracer pretty quickly, but with Vendetta and Venture I just can’t seem to get the hang of them at all. I can occasionally do well with Venture but Vendetta feels impossible to play. Even when people were saying she’s broken, I could barely get a single kill with her.

As soon as I’d go in with Vendetta, the entire enemy team just locks in like a hive mind, beams me in less than a second, and then continues fighting my team.

With venture, I just feel uncomfortable playing them on any map since it always feels like the hitscans on the other team have so much more range, that whenever I try and go near them, they just beam me or snipe me before I can get close enough to do damage. If I go underground to get close then they just get a support to peel and then I’m literally doing no damage.

I’ve been try to stop just posting rants so I now have a question. I’m curious if Venture and Vendetta’s difficulty is just underrated (since almost everyone says they’re not difficult compared to tracer, who people say is one of the hardest heroes in the game) or if I’m just a rare case. Has anyone else experienced this or is it just me?

Edit: Apologies about pronouns issue with Venture. I think I just got mixed up as I was talking about Vendetta in the same post and using “she” quite a bit. I’m pretty sure I’ve fixed it now.

What am I doing differently?

TLDR; what am I doing differently in my matches from today compared to my matches from a few days ago?

So I doubt anyone will really have the time to do this, but in the past few days I’ve been doing great on support. In one day I went from plat 2 to diamond 4 which is a rank I’ve been wanting to get to for about 4 seasons ever since I dropped out of diamond.

I’ve genuinely been enjoying the game, but now I’m just losing. I’m not sure why. I don’t feel like I’m doing very bad or anything (not saying that I’m playing perfectly) but I just keep losing. I don’t feel like understand that if I’m losing consistently then it’s my fault, but I just need someone to tell me specifically what I’m doing wrong.

Here comes the long part. I’ve got two games from today where I lost and the match just kinda felt hopeless, and two matches from yesterday and the day before, where I was playing well. I’m not expecting some long analysis on each game or anything, I just want to know if theres any big differences in what I’m doing that could be causing these losses.

Battletag / in-game username: Unc

Hero(es) played: Kiriko

Skill tier / rank: Diamond 4

PC or console: Console

Good games:
K5E46H
A7F0TF

Bad games:
DVEQ69
FVBABN

I know that some people just have bad days but this is the first time I’ve felt good at this game and I really don’t want to go back to being bad, so I’d rather fox my issues now before I go back into a cycle of losing and getting tilted and then losing be a I’m tilted.

Also, I’m very curious if anyone else can tell if the Baptiste on the enemy team on the Watchpoint match was Ximming (using mouse and keyboard on console) or not.

Sorry for the very long post…

Good budget gaming mouse? (£20-25)

So I get that I probably won’t find a good mouse for this price, but right now I’m using an old death adder elite that my cousin gave me in 2022 and he had already been using it since 2018, so I’ll take anything good right now. I don’t really have an issue with the weight of it, however, that could be because I’ve never tried a light weight mouse.

The main problem is just that it doesn’t glide very well (most likely because it’s old and 12 year old me was dumb enough to buy a cheap LED mousepad) so when I try and do fast flicks, I can feel and hear the friction between the mouse and the mousepad.

I don’t mind going a little over my budget to maybe low 30s if the mousepad is considered good and not just good for a budget mouse.

I’ve seen a lot about the Ajazz mice and the Attack shark mice, but most reviews are just TikTok’s where they’re being paid to say it’s good and some are literally just AI videos, which isn’t very convincing. I do have an ajazz keyboard, but if I’m going to buy a mouse, I’d like to at least hear an honest review about it.

Any decent mousepads under £10?

I know that the answer is probably no, but I’ll honestly take anything that’s better than my current mousepad which is a cheap one from Amazon that I bought at age 12 because it had LEDs on the side. I can’t even really turn 180 degrees without my mouse going off the mouse pad so I’m fine with anything.

I mostly play Overwatch so I need to be able to turn a lot to track the high movement. I’m not really sure if the mouse I use matters or not but I currently use a razer DeathAdder elite, but I’m probably going to get a new mouse since this one is pretty old and the scroll wheel doesn’t work very well.

How can I make this deck good?

I’m really bad at building decks, but this one has been kind of working for me in ranked, so I want to try and improve this deck.

Does anyone have any tips or changes for the deck that I can use to make it better?

JUNOOOO NOOOOOO

Im traumatised

Edit: I didn’t think that I’d have people actually hating on this post, but I guess that’s just Reddit for you.

For anyone wondering, I tried to do a voice line and accidentally did an emote since I haven’t played on console in a while.

Btw, there’s no reason to really be mad if you weren’t in the match. My team was fine with it and we won right after this so you can relax :)

[FNV] I can’t use modded races

This is my first time nodding the game and for some reason, whenever I start a new game, any modded races I have installed don’t show up in the race section, so I can’t use them. I’ve just been installing them from nexus and onto MO2, so am I supposed to install them a different way?

I’ve searched everywhere but apparently this has never happened to anyone ever since I can’t find anything about this problem.

For some reason, only when using nexus mod manager, I get this message whenever I try to use my taskbar. If I press end process then my entire task bar disappears and I can only use nexus or I have to restart my pc.

This has only started happening recently, even though I’ve installed way bigger mods in the past for fallout. It’s really annoying since I have to restart my pc like 5-6 times whenever I want to install some mods.

Does anyone know a fox for this?

So I’ve been trying to play pc on and off for a few months now, but I just can’t do it. It’s ultimately made me bad at gaming as a whole since now controller feels weird too.

I have two main issues. The first being that keyboard feels so awkward for me. It feels like my hand physically cannot press all of these keys in a tense moment. I even struggle playing those Roblox fighting games since they’re asking me to press Z X C and V whilst also moving around with WASD. It honestly feels like I need and extra 5 fingers on my left hand. And then there’s using the number keys to swap weapons which feels so hard to do when moving. On Valorant I literally have to stop moving completely to swap weapons.

And then on mouse I struggle a lot. My main goal when moving to pc was so that I could play overwatch on pc since the characters I played on console are a lot better on pc since there’s no aim assist. However, for some reason, I just can’t aim at all. People say to use a slower sens but when I do that, I can’t really hit any moving targets since I have to constantly lift my mouse and drag it to follow them which then lowers my precision completely. And on faster characters where doing 180s is required I can’t do it, even though people on the same sens as me can do them easily.

I’ve tried playing other games that aren’t competitive like borderlands, fallout and Roblox but I just genuinely can’t get the hang of it.

Does anyone have any advice?

(Btw I did want to post this on more general gaming or pc subreddit, but they all had stupid rules that meant I couldn’t make posts that asked question or that I had to have been a member for a certain amount of time, so I just posted it here since Overwatch is the main game I moved to pc for.)
