I'm not saying I want to start the car and hammer on it immediately, but I am very careful with my 997.1 to keep the throttle ramp rate low and RPMs under 3k until the oil temp hits 200. Is this sort of care necessary with the 971?

I'm picking up a 2018 Panamera 4S later this month and I want to make sure I'm giving it the care which is required. Thanks for any insights!

I've reached the breaking point with my 2nd peeling yoke and I'm ready to buy the Tesla steering wheel. Of course as soon as I make peace replacing a thing which should never need to be replaced, it's out of stock, and seems to have been so for a few months.

Does anyone have insight into when or if the steering wheel will be available from Tesla again? I've signed up to be notified when it's available, but I've received nothing, not even an email acknowledging that I signed up for the notification.

I just read about someone getting an intermittent brake light message. I get a rear deck lid open for a while after I wash the car.

Do you get any random messages?

I'll keep it short. Four deployments between Iraq and Afghanistan. Left Afghanistan in November 2016 for the final time. Looking for watch recommendations to commemorate not dying.

Constraints:

Not a dive watch. I've got one and the only other dive watches I'd want, Pelagos or BB 58, my wife hates with the fiery passion of a thousand suns...the seething hatred would kind of ruin the fun.

Under $10k (if used brings it down to that ceiling, I'm good with that).

I think the price constraint takes care of this third constraint, but just in case it doesn't...not a Rolex

My neighborhood's HOA would like to amend the covenants. I don't think it's possible because of the defined term of the covenants. A board-member is saying it is, with a majority of owners voting in the affirmative.

The covenants were signed and notarized on September 9th, 1985.

As defined in the covenants: TERM. These covenants are to run with the land shall be binding on all parties and all persons claiming under them for a period of forty (40) years from the date these covenants are recorded, after which time said covenants shall be automatically extended for successive periods of ten (10) years unless an instrument signed by a majority of the then owners of the lots has been recorded, agreeing to change said covenants in whole or in part.

Some of us say the window for changing the covenants has passed as no action was taking in September 2025, and some of us are saying we are free to hold a vote and change them assuming the majority of owners agree to change.

What say you?

Local Indy shop quoted me $950 for it. Seemed a bit high since my friend just had it done and paid $243 for it. I asked where that number came from and she said they have to remove the spark plugs and that’s 6.5 hours.

WHAT?! I’m a home mechanic and it doesn’t take 6.5 hours to remove and replace the plugs. I’m not even angry; I’m incredibly disappointed.

I had a career transition six years ago. Haven't been to the track, largely because I put on a lot of weight. Bought a set of RS Taichi 2pc leathers a few years ago as aspirational gear to fit into one day. Well, I've lost some weight and now I can get into the pants, but they feel too long and loose from the knee down. Jacket's fine, especially if I wear a back protector.

Look for a new set of pants on Revzilla and the offering are few and far between. Were are find decent 2pc leathers these days?

I'm pretty set on 2pc with a full circumference zipper. My life used to revolve around the track, but now the versatility of a two piece suit suits me better as I will be at the track only a couple times a year.

Any insight would be MUCH appreciated!
