If the Knight is Dess, who is the UNUSED voice in the code?
Something that always bothered me about the Dess Knight theory is that if Dess is the Knight, who’s the voice in the code?
The most common interpretation of the UNUSED dialogue is that it‘s Dess, who is trapped in the files of the game.
There really isn’t a better candidate for who is stuck in the code, in my opinion.
But if she‘s trapped in there, then she can’t be the Knight.
Unless, of course, that’s how the Knight works??
We know very little about how the mechanics of BEING the Knight works. Are they just a dark world form of a Lightner? Some amalgamation? A monster who absorbed a human (Kris’s) soul?
UNUSED Dialogue, for reference:
Where...
Where am I?
Hello...? Anyone...?
Is... is anybody out there...?
Someone!? Anyone!? Can anyone hear me!?
...
It's dark.
It's so dark here.
Someone, anyone, if you can hear me...
Say something... please...
No one can hear me, can they...?
...
I guess not.
To be honest, I'm not even sure if I can hear myself.
It's so quiet here...
... and yet, sometimes,
I swear I hear something...
Something like... scratching?
What is this place, anyway...?
How did I get here?
... as if I haven't asked that question a billion times already.
I...
I always did have that nightmare.
Walking into the darkness,
With the light shining from the doorway...
Then the door slams behind me.
And everything goes black.
... is this that nightmare?
... or was everything else a dream?
I'm starting to lose track of the time.
Has it been days? Hours?
If someone told me it's been years, I might believe them...
Before, the sun came up,
And so many wonderful things happened that made time meaningful.
Things like breakfast, or late night TV...
In this place,
I don't eat or drink anymore.
I can't tell if I'm awake or dreaming.
I can't even tell if I'm dead or alive.
It's just nothing but pitch black silence.
... except for the noise.
The scratching noise I sometimes hear...
This sounds crazy, but even though no one can hear me,
When I hear that noise, I feel like someone's listening.
Anyone, if you're there... thank you.
I do have one thing, though.
And that's memories.
Memories of my life...
Maybe that's all I am at this point.
A collection of memory...
Then all I can do is... not forget, right?
"Don't forget."
I just have to keep telling myself that...
I just can’t think of anyone else who would make sense. Honestly, the only other person who has a chance of fitting the bill would be Asriel, who’s supposedly at College, but he hasn’t been there very long. He wouldn’t have been trapped long enough to reasonably believe that it’s been years.
If there’s anyone else that fits the bill (without any kind of mental gymnastics), please discuss below.
Until then, all my knight theories would go on r/NonDessKnightSquad
One Piece Land-Do you think it would happen, and where would it go? Islands or Epic?
I’ve been thinking about how a One Piece land would work, and I can’t decide if it would work better in Islands of Adventure or Epic Universe.
Let’s start with what I would have for the land. I’m not super familiar with the property, (I merely watched 2 episodes of the 1000+ episode Anime, yes i’m a larper) but I would incorporate elements from both the Anime and the Live-Action.
I would have a boat ride (that gets you fairly wet) featuring animatronics, voices and designs from the Anime. (There would be a location in Japan as well, which would use the original voice actors, the Orlando location would use the voice actors from the English dub.) I would also have a dark ride based off the Live-Action show, starring the cast of the live act adaptation. There would be a full-service restaurant based off a dining place exclusively in the Anime, (From what I understand the Live Action cuts out a LOT) and a quick service one based on the Live Action. The goal with this land is to engage people with both versions of the show. I don’t know exactly how to theme these rides, I’ll let you guys make suggestions and get creative.
Now, which park would this land would fit best?
Let’s start with Epic. Epic has a LOT room for expansion. There is a seven acre lot between Mario and Dark Universe, and an over-twenty acre lot between Ministry and Berk. The twenty acre lot will likely be split into two or so lands. This land would allow for the park to actually expand and significantly increase capacity.
Plus, Epic only has one actual water ride, Fyre Drill at Berk. It‘s ability to get you wet is…inconsistent. Either you will come out bone dry or soaking wet, at least in my experience. Epic deserves at least one more water ride, especially for the other side of the park. (I know there’s rumors about Creature from the Black lagoon but for our purposes we’re going to forget about that) I think the seven acre lot would work perfectly for this area.
As for Islands, there is absolutely zero expansion space-you would need to replace something to build it. I think that when Lost Continent finishes demolition and reconstruction, Toon Lagoon will be next on the Chopping Block. I love it, but the characters haven’t been relevant for decades, hell, weren’t relevant even years before the park actually opened, and the park hasn’t been maintained the same as other lands-As of late they haven’t consistently been running the water features there (or so i’ve heard), it’s pretty clear to me that the land really isn’t a priority for Universal.
Replacing it with the FORCE that is One Piece would make a LOT of sense, especially considering there is a lot of water based infrastructure there. It would make a lot of practical and financial sense to retheme the area instead of building something new from scratch.
Thoughts?
Edit: Damn, didn’t realize that this wouldn’t be a popular idea. I thought the Live Action/Anime mix was a clever idea, but oh well.
Trump is using Deltarune music to promote his war in Iran
https://www.reddit.com/r/Deltarune/s/4r7daide5E
There is so much to say about this…
To any and all moderators, if you can’t allow political stuff on this sub PERIOD, stop reading and remove this post. I’m posting this simply because it needs to be said.
The sheer irony of this is genuinely astounding. Here we have one of the most hateful and bigoted administrations not only using a song from one of the most progressive and left-leaning pieces of media maybe of ALL TIME, but using the theme of a character who is kinda sorta super gay for her girlfriend-To promote his (illegal) war. (I also saw something about Black Knife being used in an official government post, but I can’t find the actual post. Please link it in the comments if you find it)
Beyond that, both Undertale and Deltarune have very clear and obvious anti-violence messaging. Undertale, you literally can’t get the definitive ending if you play with any sort of violence. Deltarune, just look at the K. Round fight-Susie fighting it only makes things harder.
Mr. President, why the hell are you using music from THESE games, to promote violence? To promote a war *that congress never approved?*
We all have things to say about Materia Collective, but I really hope they trounce this clown, legally speaking.
Can we talk about just how good an idea it was to include Chapter 2 in the Demo?
For those who don’t know, Toby’s original plan was to release Deltarune when it was fully complete, but first released Chapter 1 in 2018 as a free demo, to see if people would be interested, and to see if he could even get the game completed.
Eventually Toby decided to release the game episodically due to how long it took to get each Chapter out.
When it came time to release Chapter 2, we were still in the midst of the pandemic, so Toby decided to forgo payment for the time being and bundle it with the free demo.
This was probably the BEST THING Toby could have done for the game, marketing wise (besides launching the paid release with the Switch 2 and announcing it through the Switch 2 direct). Chapter 2 did a LOT for the game, including actually getting me interested in the game.
Chapter 1 never really did it for me. Don’t get me wrong, it was intriguing, but something about Chapter 1 was just kinda weak. Maybe it’s the humor or the dialogue or even the simplistic visuals (even compared to Undertale and ESPECIALLY the rest of the game) but Chapter 1 isn’t that appealing to me.
Chapter 2, on the other hand, is far more appealing to me. Beyond just being a little more polished, the visuals and character writing FAR exceed Chapter 1. Even in the music department, Chapter 2 has more songs that I like then Chapter 1, and Chapter 1 was no slouch when it came to the music.
A part of why I like Chapter 2 so much is the expanded cast. Queen is genuinely one of the funniest characters ever written (in my opinion). Noelle is adorable and relatable and Berdly is absolutely hilarious. Susie and Ralsei are also a good bit more interesting and overall I like this dynamic more than just Susie, Ralsei, and Lancer.
And then there’s the ending stinger. The Twist. In Chapter 1, we ended with Kris ripping out their soul (AKA Us, The Player). This twist fakes you out into thinking that the game is going to be far darker than you expected…and the first thing Chapter 2 reveals is that Kris merely ate some pie…I’m not going to say that this was insignificant. It does clearly set up that we and Kris are NOT the same. It sets up the twist in Chapter 2. This is one of the most important plot developments so far…but I thought it was kind of a cheap misdirection.
The Chapter 2 the ending is far more interesting and impactful. The Roaring Knight had been built up since Chapter 1 and the Knight was a significant plotbeat that had only been teased up to this point. But now, the prior chapter ending is not only expanded upon, but the Knight is teased to be Kris themselves. This not only establishes that Kris has ulterior motives, but that WE, THE PLAYER, ARE NOT ALIGNED WITH THE CHARACTER WE CONTROL.
I had never really seen a game do something like this. Needless to say, my purchase of the full game was GUARANTEED.
You can argue that Chapter 1 also established that Kris had different motivations from the player but the execution of Chapter 2’s ending did a far better job of getting that point across. It sets up that we and Kris are different, but that’s not what most people took away from the ending. Most people thought that they were possessed by freakin’ Chara, which is not the case at all and is less interesting than what the game is actually doing.
Thoughts?
Edit: I FORGOT ABOUT THE WEIRD ROUTE That made Deltarune a HELL of a lot more interesting too. The idea of “one ending“ is far more interesting now.

My Hopes for Castle Town in Chapter 6 (And critiques of Castle Town in general.)
I think we can all agree that we were all pretty disappointed in Castle Town in Chapter 5 and even a little bit in Chapter 4.
Chapter 2 (post Cyber World) got it right. The DJ Studio was introduced, where you could play select tracks, which was pretty cool. There was also the Battle Dojo, where you could do a handful of really cool fights-It was a great way to practice, and you got cool rewards.
In Chapter 5, the Studio was taken over by Topchef and did nothing, and it was straight up closed in Chapter 4.
In Chapter 4, the Battle Dojo became the “Love Dojo”. (I don’t think a lot of people found this funny…I certainly didn’t) and there was only one fight there. (You also couldn’t access the fights from Chapter 2-I was initially under the impression that they would roll over into the next chapters, along with a few new ones every time.) In Chapter 5, Pirate Gaster demanded the Dojo Be Pirate themed…and the actual new battle was moved to the freaking bakery for some reason. It’s a great fight, but it should have been in the Dojo.
The only thing that has been properly expanded upon in each Chapter is the rhythm game-We got the 4rd Sanctuary, which was one of my favorite additions. Unfortunately I’m not a big rhythm game guy but I appreciate that these are here. These seem to be the exception though, not the rule. Not even the Mike Mini-games carry over.
So for Chapter 6, I would bring back the Studio proper (as well as the ability to change the theme of Castle Town), and I would rework the Dojo so that you would be able to refight certain enemies and bosses, and maybe even have a boss rush, as well as ALL prior Dojo fights. Netski can imitate enemies, so that’s how I would justify it. Hell, maybe the Netski‘s take over the Dojo.
Then I would add Flower Man to the Rhythm game area (As well as Field of Hopes and Dreams). I would also add the Cooking and Susiezilla minigames. weird they weren’t already there. (Mike’s games too, assuming you fought them.)
The Church area would get another climbing challenge or two, as well as new sounds for the piano.
There would also be a new building that the Flower King recruits build, housing Platforming challenges. (Including a scrapped room that mixed the Platform/shape sliding puzzles with the moving pianos.)
What do you all think? Did I leave something out?
Edit: I forgot to mention, there would be a festive remix of My Castle Town, and the whole town would have a Christmas re-theme for the Chapter, as Noelle is arriving.
Edit 2: I also forgot to mention that you would be able to go to Castle Town before AND after the Dark World. It might not work out story-wise but I hope it can happen.
A commenter (Slow-Ordinary-5256) also suggested that Ralsei actually gets to use the Ralsei Rancher, as clearly he likes it. (This could be a really satisfying moment where he stands up to Susie when she inevitably shuts down the idea.)
What’s your favorite area in Undertale and Deltarune? Pick a Top 5 between both games.
Undertale
- The Ruins
- Snowdin
- Waterfall
- Hotland/CORE
- New Home
- True Lab
Deltarune
1-1. The Field of Hopes and Dreams
1-2. Block Forest (AKA Scarlet Forest)
1-3. Card Castle
Hometown 1-Evening
2-1. Cyber Field
2-2. Cyber City
2-3. Queen’s Mansion
Hometown 2-Evening
3-1. Desert Board
3-2. Tropical Board
3-3. TV WORLD
Hometown 3-Day
4-1. Dark Sanctuary
4-2. The Second Sanctuary
4-3. The Third Sanctuary
Hometown 4-Night
Hometown 5-Festival
5-1. The Garden of Hopes and Dreams
5-2. The Cliffs
5-3. Flower Castle/Top of Castle
Hometown 6-Night
My Top 5:
- Waterfall (The music and ambiance-it’s peak. By far my favorite area Toby Fox has created and is the reason I love both these game-I probably would have dropped Undertale if it weren’t for this area.)
- Dark Sanctuary (The music and ambiance is also peak. I have a thing for blue lore-heavy areas with beautiful somber music that takes place in the midpoint of a game.)
- Cyber City (I really like Noelle’s character and I have a thing for cityscapes. The Weird Route also makes this area far more interesting…)
- Queen’s Mansion (I love the energetic vibe of this area. Queen and Berdly are INCREDIBLY funny and I love them both. The fights are awesome and the Weird Route also makes this area really different and interesting.)
- The Cliffs (The 2D platforming is incredible and the music and visuals are amazing. The best part of Chapter 5.)
Do you think we will be getting hints to the Chapter 6 Dark World? (In Tweets, Bluesky posts, newsletters, etc.)
Toby put a few hints to Chapter 4’s dark world in the reveal trailer and in the arg, as well as other sources. The dark worlds of Chapters 3 and 5 were made evidently clear in the prior Chapters as well.
Do you think he’ll do this for Chapter 6, or make it clear like in the past?
Personally, I would prefer that he kept it as vague as possible. This is the first time that we genuinely don’t know where it will take place, though we the Holiday Manor is the most popular and probable bet. (Especially considering the scrapped prophecy in the files-COLDWATER FALLS FROM TOP OF THE SKY.)
NEW NEWSLETTER JUST DROPPED-We have a LOT to talk about.
There’s a lot to unpack here, so please read it yourself before reading further—> https://toby.fangamer.com/newsletters/summer26/
Okay, so there’s 2 lines that need immediate attention.
- “But one thing will be clarified, whether you’re ready or not.”
KRIS. WHAT THE HELL IS THIS KRIS
My thought is that Chapter 6 will either reveal the identity of the Knight or introduce Gaster, though I’m leaning towards a Knight reveal. It’s also possible that Dess’s disappearance will be brought to light instead.
- “By the way, I told Fangamer not to expect to make too much merchandise.”
KRIS. WHAT THE HELL THAT’S JUST AS OMINOUS
For context, Toby doesn’t allow for Deltarune merch based off lightners to be produced, just darkners. Chapter is very likely lighter heavy.
EDIT: Turns out I was incorrect. Lighter merch is allowed, but not for major characters (Such as Kris, Susie, or Noelle.) due to story/lore mechanics.
Okay, so, yeah. That’s a lot to think about.
(Also >!Toby explicitly stated that Yellow was in fact based off Woody from Toy Story and that there was very little explicit cowboy foreshadowing…I still can’t believe this.!<)
The Newsletter wasn’t even the only thing that’s changed…(Hint: >!make sure to scroll down!<) https://deltarune.com/chapter5/
Breaking Bad Anthology Concept
Most people agree that the Breaking Bad series is complete, and shouldn’t continue-Which got me thinking, “If it were to go on a little longer, what would be the best way to do it? What would add enough new to justify itself? What would convince people it deserves to exist?” And an anthology limited series is what I came up with. It’s only four episodes long, but I don’t think more than that is really needed.
1. Domino Effect
-This episode is ab the relationship Walt and Gretchen had in their Grey Matter days. This episode unveils that Walt left Gretchen because he found out that her family was rich, and because of his ego and desire to earn his wealth instead of marry into it, left Grey Matter as a result. This episode will recast Walt, Elliot and Gretchen, but will also have their roles reprised in a prologue and/or epilogue. (Alternate Title-Hidden Reaction)
2. Debris
-This episode is a largely disconnected story set within the world of Breaking Bad.
This story follows the downfall of a regular working class nuclear family-A family of four is shattered when the father, Harry, becomes one of the 160 or so victims of the Wayfarer incident. The Family, losing their primary breadwinner, is obviously put in a terrible position. They go to Saul, who builds a case against Wayfarer, and the family does eventually get compensation. However, in their grief, the eldest daughter, Anne, turns to drugs to cope which ultimately results in a family of two. (Said drugs includes but isn’t limited to Walt’s Blue Sky, unless the timeline doesn’t match. There was a period in Season 3 or 4 if I recall where Gus cut off Blue Sky from Albuquerque temporarily to throw off the DEA.)
3. Break for It
-This story follows a member of the Salamanca family, Emiliano, whose goal is to separate herself as far as possible from the greater Salamanca family. We see younger versions of Hector, Tuco, Lalo, the Twins, etc. (All played by different actors, there will be NO digital deaged deepfake Mark Margolis, rest in peace) and there’s conflict as she tries to escape the drug trade.
Emiliano is Lalo’s sister, and is equally cunning, but lacks his charisma. Her wits make her a valuable part of the business, but eventually her husband dies due to rival gang activity, which radicalizes her and she just wants to get out. She vanishes in the late night and is intercepted by Lalo, but he lets her go and promises to cover for her, understanding her motivations. She nearly makes a clean break but gets captured by the same rival group, and is tortured for information. Lalo realizes what happens and framing it as a targeted kidnapping, calls upon the family to rescue her. The Salamancas get into a surprise shootout with the gang and win, but Emiliano has already been killed. The family then preforms the ritual seen in the opening of Breaking Bad Season 3 to mourn the death of Emiliano. The actors for Lalo and Tuco reprise their roles in an epilogue where they discuss the life of Emiliano. (I guess the Twins could return as well, but I don’t imagine they have much to say.) (The episode would be dedicated to Mark Margolis.)
4. Children of a Fallen Empire
-This episode focuses on what became of Flynn, Holly, Brock, Kaylee, and Lydia’s daughter, Kiira. This episode would be an “anthology within an anthology” where the episode spends 10-20 minutes on each person/story and moves on to the next.
Holly will grow up not really knowing who Walt was and the truth of him is kept away from her. Skyler will have her name changed, homeschooled, and internet/library access heavily restricted. Holly will be raised mostly isolated. She eventually finds out in her teens and emancipates herself from Skyler. She only forgives her after getting into an abusive relationship years later, after a decade of no contact.
Kaylee’s story starts in the playground where Mike abandoned her, and she finds out about a good chunk of Mike’s crimes within the next few days. She and Stacey are heartbroken and while Stacey simmers down a bit over the years, Kaylee NEVER forgives Mike.
Kiira falls prey to the foster system after Lydia dies, and her connection to Walt investigated and exposed, all her assets are frozen. She never finds a proper family and eventually becomes associated with a gang. She gets shot and killed in a drug bust.
Flynn will give Skylar some of the money Gretchen and Elliot gave them, but generally he and Skyler don’t have a GREAT relationship. He does forgive her (to an extent) after 3-5 years go by, and is close with Holly. For the most part, Flynn lives a quiet life and gets to enjoy his breakfast in peace.
Brock will grow up a fairly angry and bitter person. He’ll be raised by his grandmother, but Andrea’s absence is felt. A few times he’s tempted into crime but never accepts, as he understands how it’s destroyed his family. The contents of Jesse’s letter will be (at least partially) revealed-The TL:DR is that Walt poisoned him, Jesse indirectly and unintentionally got Tomas killed, and Todd killed Andrea. Jesse notes his apologies for everything and hopes that Brock can forgive him one day, and says he still loves him and wishes he can move past everything. He’ll eventually become a DEA agent. (Brock might end up shooting Kiira in her gang’s drug bust, or at least is involved in that conflict. Probably. I haven’t actually decided lol. It would tie the episode together more but makes the world feel kinda small.)
Do these concepts sound interesting or should I return to the drawing board? (Keeping in mind this is just a creative exercise.)
Should Chapters 5 and 6 been released together?
I feel like a lot of the criticisms that people have with Chapter 5 would have been nullified by Chapter 6 releasing alongside it.
People’s main issue with Chapter 5 is the lack of major story and lore developments within the chapter. Chapter 6 is presumably going to have more story and lore significance, so pairing the two probably would have made a lot of sense. One chapter being light on reveals is easily forgiven when the other brings a LOT to the table (Exhibit A: Chapter 3+4.).
That said…
There’s no real GOOD reason to delay the release of a fully completed chapter anymore. The paid release has dropped.
Thoughts?
COLDWATER FELL FROM THE TOP OF THE SKY.
This is an unused prophecy panel from Chapter 4.
Considering Chapter 6 will likely take place in an ice palace world, I feel like this could be relevant to Chapter 6.
The only question is what the significance of this panel would be, if any. It IS a scrapped panel after all.
Will Carol Cancel School in Chapter 6?
Considering everything with Rudy and Noelle probably not being in a great state of mind, it’s definitely a possibility.
Honestly would be more surprised if she didn’t. This is the same woman who cancelled school just so her daughter didn’t have to walk in the rain. (https://deltarune.com/rain/)
Susie will would probably emerge from Castle Town before school started, and will get pissed when no one arrives. Then Kris comes and they go to see Noelle…
Super Controversial Take-Epic should be open later.
Real controversial opinion.
All jokes aside…yeah the park needs to be open later into the night.
Currently the park opens at 10:00 AM (9:00 AM for Early Entry) and closes at 9:00 PM.
Epic Universe is BEAUTIFUL at night and I daresay that the whole park looks better in the evening. Yet another spicy hot take.
Some people have suggested that the park open and close an hour later, and I really like that idea. The only real issue with that is some families would just…spend less time in the park. Kids, especially young kids, are typically taken to bed well before the 10:00 PM closing, and that is a full hour that families aren’t spending money in the park, since it opened an hour later.
Plus, corporate buyouts need to be considered. (I feel so sorry for anyone doing a trip this September…) Opening later might mean even LESS time in the park.
While I wouldn’t mind if Epic opened and closed an hour later, I think the park should just…be open an hour later. 9/10 AM to 10 PM. I get that might not be operationally possible yet, but it needs to happen eventually.
Thoughts?
Edit: I thought I already made this crystal clear in the post body, but the controversial thing was a joke. I know everyone has been asking for later hours since opening.
Can we talk about how FREAKING DEPRESSING the weird route is? (General Weird Route Discussion)
Ok, so, like, oh my god.
First off, Berdly freaking dies. Yeah yeah, it’s 2026, that was five freaking years ago, but all this time later it’s still FREAKING CRAZY.
Then there’s the Sword route. “She Was Used Up.” Yeah, no, not creepy as hell at all.
Then when you return the thornring to Noelle…that’s when the route truly becomes evil. Kris is definitely justified in hating us/the soul.
Then of course there’s the lake scene. I won’t EVER forget that sequence.
But what I REALLY want to talk about is what happens after Kris and Noelle…drown? After they “leave”. What happens to hometown afterwards?
We need to talk about Susie and Carol. Let’s assume for now that Kris and Noelle are straight up dead. Susie would probably blame herself, and much of the town would too. Carol would probably be doing even worse…not only is Rudy, just, not doing great (It doesn’t really matter if he fell down or “fell down“), but now BOTH her daughters are presumed dead. (They’re both probably alive but for now we’ll assume they’re dead) What would Carol think of Susie? Would they work together on dark world crap or would they just beef with each other?
What would Toriel and Asgore do? Asgore presumably doesn’t get kidnapped, since the flower king dark world (probably) doesn’t get made, so they would both be around for this. The relationship between Carol and Toriel specifically seems strained, presumably because Carol is funding Asgore’s research. What would happen between them when they‘re suddenly both empty nesters?
Also, like, THE FLOWER KING DARK WORLD DIDN'T GET CREATED. Congratulation, you BROKE the prophecy. What the HELL is going to be the consequence of that?!
And maybe most importantly…What actually happened to Kris and Noelle? Many people assume that they’re in the depths now (AKA probably the Shelter dark world, which is probably why we’re skipping to Chapter 7), which definitely makes sense. What will they…do…down there? Is Gaster actually down there? What even IS the depths? Did Kris and Noelle even survive? Were they “used up”? Are we just going to inhabit the Vessel or something?
What even IS the weird route‘s meta-narrative about? It’s gotta be deeper than just “you wanted to see what would happen“ or “gee I bet you wished you followed the prophecy“ or something. It could be commentary on like speedruning or something (We’re skipping basically 2 whole chapters) but If that’s the case then that hasn’t really been set up so far.
Point is, I’m scared of this freaking route. The lake scene kept me up ALL night back in June…At 2 or 3 AM I manically texted my friend “THE ABORT JINGLE NEVER PLAYED“ when I realized that the jingle, in fact, didn’t play amongst abortion. I’ve genuinely lost sleep over this…
What is the general consensus of the weird route in general? Are you looking forward to the ending of the regular or weird route more?
I think people sometimes forget just how INSANELY dark Mother 3 is
Introducing the game where your mom dies, your brother kills himself after being brainwashed for years, the world is a post-apocalypse, and Nazi pigs try to make transgender people disappear.
Gee, no wonder this game never left Japan.
Two predictions for Chapter 6’s release date
So, I randomly got the urge to listen to some of the OSTs from the Spiderverse movies, which reminded me that Spiderverse 3 was supposed to come out like 2-3 years ago? Anyways it’s now slated for a Father’s Day weekend release, which got me thinking about Rudy in Chapter 6…
(We will be assuming that the dark world is an Ice Palace either in the hospital or Holiday Manor, though more likely the Manor.)
A June 18-20th 2027 release date is not only a reasonable prediction, but potentially a thematically significant date. Rudy is 100% going to be REALLY important in Chapter 6-Whether he fell down or “fell down“, he’s going to at the very least have 2-3 mandatory, major scenes. He’ll either going to die/become some form of dustner, or be revealed as the Knight. (Or Both, that could be interesting but I don’t know how that would work.) Either way, Fatherhood and his relationship with Noelle and December will be highlighted. (Hell, i’m a little surprised Chapter 5 didn’t release on Father’s Day either, it came three days later. Asgore didn’t have a HUGE presence in Chapter 5, but it would still work)
My alternative pitch is that, despite the supposed easier development of Chapter 6, if it ends up wrapping development much later in the year than we think, especially if something halts development for whatever reason (Friend mistakes Toby’s hand for protein, Pirate Gaster steals all the code for Chapter 6, Trump signs an executive order to halt development because DeLtArUnE iS tOo WoKe, SaVe ThE cHiLdReN fRoM tHe LeSbIaN yUrI, etc.), then a Christmas/Christmas Eve release could be perfect. It would be reasonable to assume that we will learn more about Dess, so releasing a Chapter about the character named December Holiday, on a December Holiday, just makes too much sense to me. And if Dess is the Knight, even better, though I believe in Rudy Knight personally. However, I don’t think Toby would wait to release the Chapter until the holidays just for thematic purposes, it would have to be a happy accident. If the Chapter is ready to release in September or August or earlier, he’ll release it then.
What do you all think? Would you prefer a Father’s Day release? A Christmas Release? Some other day?
About a Potential Deltarune Orchestral Performance
I was thinking about just how cool an official Deltarune orchestral performance would be like, but realized that there’s no way that would be possible to do in one day.
Not only will be the full game’s OST be far too long for one day, but it’s probably too demanding for both the audience and especially the performers.
So what if a Deltrune orchestra performance was split into multiple days?
The OST would basically be split across 4 or so different concerts that take place 1-3 weeks apart, each one covering 2 chapters of Deltarune, approximately 2-3 hours long each, intermissions included.
As for the song list, like the Undertale Orchestral performance, certain songs that were like 10 second gags or purely ambiance were for the most part cut, unless they enhanced the next song for whatever reason.
Here are the songs that would be preformed, and the day they’re preformed:

??. Whatever Chapter 6 has that doesn’t fit in the main performance
Day 4 will feature Chapter 7, as well as whatever Weird Route or Chapter 0/8/9/10 shenanigans Toby has in store. The whole game could end up requiring 5 or 6 days…
Does this look like it would work? If you think there would be some adjustments, feedback would be appreciated.
I may need to explain my structure of this orchestra, some of my placements may be puzzling, but there’s a reason for it all.
*Unused in game but listed in the OST.
**Used in game but not listed in the OST.
Do you think 2D platforming will return in Chapter 6, or will it be Chapter 5 exclusive?
The 2D platforming sections were a highlight of Chapter 5, and I really hope that they continue to be a thing in Chapter 6 onwards. (Edit-I forgot to mention climbing returned, so it’s def possible)
Since Noelle will be in the Dark World in Chapter 6, 2D platforming sections would be a great excuse to add a new mechanic through Noelle. Susie had ranged attacks and Ralsei could be used to create platforms, so it would have to be something other than combat or creating platforms.
Thoughts?
