Can I save up too much for retirement?
I'm 10 years into saving for retirement and putting money away for the future seriously, and I've officially passed 500k$ in my retirement account (RPP AND RRSP) with my work. I'm 35 and hoping to retire at 55.

I've heard some people say you can have "too much" in these savings accounts and I should focus on TFSA instead.

What's the general consensus around here? Thanks!
The most unbelievable part of Futurama:
Fry wakes up 1000 years in the future, but everyone still speaks English from the the modern era
A king was throwing a birthday party for his horse.
The king announced, "Whoever can make my horse laugh will get 1,000 gold coins."
A man stepped forward and whispered something into the horse's ear.
The horse laughed so hard it nearly collapsed.
The king paid the man and asked him, "What did you say to it?"
The man replied, "I told him mine was bigger."
The King's horse doesn't stop laughing and the King says "Whoever can make my horse stop laughing will 1000 Gold coins."
The same man stepped forward, pulled the horse over to a corner whispered in the horses ear.
The horse looked down at the man and immediately stops laughing and starts crying.
The king asked the man again, "Now what did you do?"
"I showed him." The man replied.

Should I keep contributing extra to my workplace RSP, or contribute to my mortgage?
34 years old.
Hoping to retire at 55.
Currently have 470k$ in my workplace RSP's.
My workplace RSP has been consistently between ~10-15% growth annually.
(Edit: workplace has a matching that’s mandatory for me to contribute. 300$ on top of this.)
My mortgage has 400k$ left on it, 5.9% percent and I have 2 years left before renewal.
Thanks.
