Punk Gem still coming?

Punk Gem still coming?

Tried to find out if being released or not... on my Sprite Tracker it still shows as coming.

I've seen a 50/50 split of Yes, it's being released on the last day (19th) and no, it was cancelled totally for this season.

Anyone know for sure? Actual legit source?

Hate to do all this work to get all sprites, then last day another pops up and I'm 1 short.

Gap - Cowl and Windshield

My '22 Bronco Sport was second hand. Just got it a few months ago and service history showed a windshield was replaced.

The plastic cowl (?) on mine is about 3mm too far from the edge of the glass for it to snap in place. I see the groove in the plastic, and I've seen other asking if they just push it back in place, but mine's a few mm too far away.

Not seeing anything obvious... but, is there screws I need to loosen to shift it up? or is it all snapped in place, no screws?

Grease for Enclosed Tuners

What grease do you use for inside an enclosed tuner?

I've been using the Super Lube, and works well enough but it's not as thick as I'd like. My concern is on a hot summer day it may leak a bit, go a bit more fluid than solid. It has a consistency of Vaseline.

I've been looking for something a bit more solid/dense that won't leak and seep into the wood.

It'll be used in your typical tuner with a sealed back. I pull them off, scrub everything clean then sonic cleaner, then new nylon/metal washers and good as new.

Brake Moan in Reverse - Part# Req

Got that annoying moan in reverse on my used '22 Bronco Sport. Keep finding service bulletins and some with part numbers but none with the bushing update.

I see someone in the USA sells a brass upgrade kit but I'm in Canada so that $80 kit because really expensive really quick by the time it gets here.

Anyone know the part number?

How's Your Collection - Non-Traders

Just curious how many people are trying to collect them all without trading.

So far here's what I've gotten, with no trades and not chasing people down or camping at extraction points. Just opening chests and occasionally getting killed by the storm. 😄

For those asking - https://spritelocker.com/

The installer basically adds a direct link to your desktop or phone. Not really an app, just a web browser based list, and your list is saved in your cache/cookies so, if you clear your cache, you'll have to re-add it all.

Screen goes in-out of focus

Been noticing since Sprites, sometimes my screen goes out of focus and then slowly back in focus, and then it's fine for while then does it again.

Normal? Glitch? Sprite related?

I can just sit in one spot and not move and it'll eventually slightly blur and resharpen.

Trading, and Returning?

Dumb question probably but how do you trade sprites?

I assume you go into a game as duos with the other person added in your team, land remotely and trade?

But then I see some posts, please trade, I'll return it after? Return it?

Treble Bleed for Les Paul

Doing some upgrading on a Les Paul (Epi) and debating about how I want to handle the electronics.

I have a pair of SD Alnico II Pro's, 4xA500k CTS pots (metric), I'm grabbing a Pure Tone jack, and the 3-way is still up for debate. For now we'll say Switchcraft.

I also have a pair of Black Bee PIO 0.022uf caps, and a bunch of Orange Drop 0.022uf and 0.047uf caps.

How would you wire this up? '50s style? Modern style?

And Treble Bleed... I'll need to buy smaller caps for that but, seems to be a few ways to wire it in, and different values to use, and some tech stuff I started to read that was over my head.

What value cap/resist would you use in this setup? and configuration? and why?

What's Your Go-To 3-way Switch - Not Switchcraft

Which 3-way switch do you use, when you don't want to spend $50CAD on a SwitchCraft?

Many shops seem to have SwitchCraft, sometimes Obsidian for the same price, and their store generic brand. Any others?

NGD - Well, used, and pickup in 2 days

Been after this guitar since I saw a video on YouTube for it in 2017.

2010 Epiphone LP Standard, Root beer Burst Quilt top. Only 120 made and only sold in Canada at L&M as a special store anniversary edition. Every time I saw one pop up for sale I was between jobs, then nothing. 2yrs ago one popped up for sale on Market Place (FB) and it was supposed to be mine, but after 2 weeks of jerking me around he finally said he changed his mind. Haven't seen one since.

Today, one popped up at L&M a few hours away, and immediately called and put money down to hold it for me.

Super excited. Been after it almost a decade. Fairly cheap, compared to the last few I saw, plus the pickups were upgraded with DiMarzio 36th anniversary PAFs.

I will of course dismantle it completely. It's what I do. Clean, polish, level and dress the frets. Bone nut. I even have all new Gotoh hardware in nickel that I grabbed on sale before prices went up (Covid) that I kept for a project, and well, this is the project.

I have a set of SD Alnico II Pro's, I saved for when I finally found one of these (took longer than expected) but probably keep the DiMarzio's. Also some metric sized CTS pots and vintage style PIO caps, switch craft jack and switch. Total overhaul basically. I have an SG at home that was stripped so, use the parts from this for that.

2 more sleeps before I drive down and grab it.

Features Re-enable Themselves

Realized the other day my trailer sway assist was enabled again, so disabled it, and next day enabled again. There's a few features like this. I did a factory reset and updated to the most current software (2022 Bronco) and disabled auto-updates thinking maybe it resets after updates, and disabled it. Next day, trailer sway enabled again.

What's the deal? I don't even have a trailer hitch.

Was watching a few YouTube vids about features to disable, some for mileage (ie the trailer sway) and some for battery life.

Why do some of these features re-enable themselves?

Dream Sprite Question

Sorry for the dumb question, just not grasping these Sprites.

I had the dream Sprite, levelled to 5 and exploded into loot. Went to rift what I had and he was gone. Collection shows mastered, but lvl1.

That normal? Should it not be lvl5?

Remote File Access - DS223

Just installed a DS223 in our small office (2 people) and looking to add external access.

I don't want something where I login, find the file, download the file, use it and upload it back etc. Google Drive type deal. Or, a copy of the NAS on the local drive and a sync setup. I'm looking for something closer to the mapped network drive we have it setup as right now.

Watching a video discussing 5 ways to access, and Tailscale seemed like it would work similar to what I am after.

Tailscale a good way to have remote access? Allowing us to open, edit and save directly to the NAS? and is it easy/simple? The co-worker is not at all good with technology, so I need something that once setup, is easy to use.

Just looking for some feedback about it before I waste time figuring it out only to discover there's something better to use.

Tailscale also seems to be free in our situation since only 2 of us. Also a perk.

Finally! Mythic Goldfish!

Finally got one of these. My aim sucks so only managed to take down 3-people with it, but hey, at least they saw it coming, unlike the one-shot sniper kills. :D

Audio - skips and doesn't always detect usb

Saw a thread from a year ago, same issue but doesn't look like it got resolved.

I have a low profile SanDisk USB 2.0 16gb, with maybe 2gb of MP3s on it. My collection is mostly FLAC but for the car I convert everything to 320kbps MP3, just because smaller, easier to process etc.

I shouldn't need to be USB 3.0 because more than fast enough for music. Had the same USB in my 2010 GMC Terrain, and used it on my JVC deck I had in my 2003 Dodge Ram. Never had issues except for now.

Also, maybe 1/5th of the time, the car starts and goes to the radio. I click on the source button and USB is there and works but, for some reason, at startup it doesn't read the USB right away.

Anyone else have this... 2022 Bronco Sport Outer Banks, updated software to current.

Side note/complaint, I'm a bit disappointed with the audio options, being basically an android tablet it should be able to do a bit more. 3 band EQ, and stereo or surround, that's it? My 15yr old deck had more options. Not even fade or anything.

DS223 - Few Questions

I work in a small office and finally convinced them to get a NAS, vs what we have now... an external hard drive hanging off my laptop that everyone has access to over as a mapped share drive. Has worked surprisingly well, but not ideal.

It's a small office, 2 people and a part-timer that comes in to scan docs once every other week. We're mostly dealing with PDFs and QuickBooks files so we don't need anything fancy. Our plan is to get the DS223 and 2x4TB drives, and once every 2 weeks manually run a backup to an external drive (that we already have) and keep that safe on a shelf in a case when not in use. Very simple setup.

I did have 2 questions though...

  1. Does the software allow me to schedule backups in the NAS from Disk A to Disk B? Ideally we'd like to have the NAS run backups from one disk to the other every night around 10pm. Would that be RAID or JBOD for that to work? or just best leave as RAID, in which case, which one?

  2. In the near future we're getting a website made up. Is there a way that clients can use the website (contact form) to upload PDF/JPG/DOC etc files directly to a folder on the NAS? I guess remote secure ftp or something?

Sorry, I have a decent grasp on computers, but network stuff was never my thing.

Engine Shut-Off Device

That auto off/on engine thing drives me nuts, and still can't make heads or tails of when it decides to do it.

Been looking at the devices you can install, and most seem for the Bronco not Bronco Sport, but I have found a few with very mixed reviews and very different prices, around $25CAD-$200CAD.

Anyone recommend one that's not too expensive and works? Ideally a Canadian site since buying across the border now is just way too expensive.
