Stem length for SL8...

Old guy here, looking at building first road bike in a while. In the past I typically used 54cm bikes with 120mm stems. Do the newer integrated bars, along with hydraulic levers, result in needing a shorter stem to maintain same reach to hoods?

ENVE Bar SES Aero Road, IN-Route - adapters needed for SL8?

If I am interested in using these Enve one piece bars on an SL8, are there any special adapters/spacers needed? Looking for an alternative to the Roval bar that doesn't have as much of a downward angle as the roval.

Another Rookie Question...

Still pondering buying a QC. Probably a very stupid question, but, if I happen to want to play at my desk and use the QC, does it have to go through my Mac (or PC) and then to speakers? Or can I hook the QC directly to a pair of powered speakers like the Yamaha HS5's? Is there a necessity to using the computer for anything (I'm not recording)?? Thx!!!

Hotel Booking Question...

Probably an odd question. I want to take advantage of the current 12% back for IHG hotel bookings with Rakuten Canada. The dates I am looking at are June 2027 which they won't allow me to book this far in advance. My question is, if I book now for an earlier date, say....March....so I can get the 12% cash back deal, will I still get the cash back if a couple months from now I log on to IHG and 'modify' the booking to dates in June?

Thanks!!

Making a GLOW blend...

Could someone please post a link to a good FAQ on how to make a good GLOW blend, what ratios to use, how to mix it (if at all, or take each separate??)?

EDIT - If it matters, I want to use this for injury healing - bad knee.

Thanks!

Cheaper on Amazon Canada?

Looking to buy one of the Gozney ovens, and I am seeing on Amazon Canada it is 10-15% cheaper for some of the models, with quick prime delivery. It says the 'storefront' selling them is Gozney. Odd because one of the models I see in stock on Amazon is out of stock on Gozney Canada's own website. Any risk in buying from Amazon??

Anyone making their own bac water? What are you using for vials?

Given the shortage of Hospira, it seems to make sense to buy medical (Hospira again) sterile water, and mix with benzyl alcohol. My concern is what vial to use to put the mixture into. I know you can get vials off amazon, but I've read some of the reviews on them and it seems like a gamble as to whether or not they are even sterile. For those that make your own, are you literally buying uncapped vials, putting them in an autoclave, then capping etc???

98" QM67k (QM6K) vs new 98P8L??

I'm so lost in these models. I see Costco Canada is sold out of the QM67k in 98, was waiting for it to go on sale.

Just looked on Best Buy Canada's site and see the new 2026 98P8L on sale even cheaper than the typical sale price of the QM67k. Currently at 2299.

Both seem to be mini LED. I -think- both have around 500 dimming zones.

Am I missing any big differences??

Thanks!

EDIT - looks like the newer P8L has a native refresh rate of 120, with ability to go up to 144 and 288 via their software? The QM67k has native 144. Again, no idea what this means real world.

CBD gummies for anxiety / stress?

Hi all, looking for a recommendation for an edible to help reduce stress/anxiety, but not looking to get high. I've tried CBD oil and didn't really notice anything.

I have a PAX and do find that a few puffs does wonders, BUT I don't like the effects on the lungs, and again would prefer to not get high.

Should I be looking for a CBD only edible? One with a low amount of THC as well? Ratio? Help me avoid going to the doctor to beg for Xanax lol.

Cheers

Trades (Plumbing) Jobs in Halifax?

I've had about a year of general training at NSCC in pipe/plumbing, and would love to start my career, but I am having a very difficult time finding anyone willing to hire an entry level plumber. I don't think I am yet considered an apprentice, might need a year of work first? I've searched job boards, sent resumes to whatever plumbing companies I can find online, nothing. Very disappointing given how hard trades are pushed on students. It seems like unless you have a family member willing to take you on, there is nothing. Would love any advice on how to break in as an entry level!!

Mount for 98 TVs...

Wondering what wall mounts people are liking for their 98" TV's? Tons of choices on amazon etc., but a lot of them get reviews that state the mounts are weak in that they allow the TV to 'lean' forward. Any that are strong enough to not do that?

Old Vizio compared to newer mid-range TCL?

Hey folks, looking to add a larger TV to a finished basement that we use pretty strictly as a home gym, the room being about 22' x 15' in size. To be clear, will not be used as a home theatre setup, but we do like having the youtube app up playing live concert videos etc while working out, treadmilling etc. For sound we use a Sony receiver hooked to a pair of Klipsch RP-8000 Reference towers.

Our current TV is a 65" Vizio model D65u-d2. We don't use its internal smart features, rather we use an Apple TV hooked to it, and would be fine with continuing to use that with a new TV if necessary.

The current Vizio specs are:

Resolution: 4K UHD (3840 x 2160)

Display: 64.5-inch panel with full-array LED backlighting

Performance: 16-zone active local dimming

Refresh Rate: 60Hz (120Hz effective, Clear Action 240)

Smart TV: Vizio Internet Apps Plus (VIA+)

Connectivity: 5x HDMI, 1x USB, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Ethernet

We are looking at 98" TCL's from Costco. I guess my main question is, how would a 'budget' 98 like the Q7K (Q77K in the US) compare to my old Vizio? Folks seem to give the Q7K bad reviews compared to say the QM67K, but wondering if the negative reviews of the Q7K are very 'relative' and would it still be better than my Vizio even in the larger size?
