Hi all, this is a pretty specific title, but also just asking about anyone who has had this experience with a different insurance as well. I have been taking Adderall IR tablets and because of how quick they wear off, my psych switched me to XR. I have BCBS and this is the first time the pharmacy has ever called me and said "it is awaiting PA (prior authorization", apparently meaning that my Dr. needs to explain why I need it. For anybody who has experienced this, does it usually ended up getting accepted and covered? And how long did it take? Thanks in advance!!

Hi all! I posted on here a couple days ago detailing my issues getting diagnosed and then later finally prescribed medication that was right for me. I started Adderall today and I’m almost emotional thinking about the fact that I think before this I was only meeting 40% of my potential. I almost feel regretful or sad that I didn’t start sooner (maybe I could’ve gotten better grades, done more, etc.) . Does anybody else feel this way following starting meds?

Hi! I have been dealing with ADHD symptoms all my life by I was just diagnosed a few days ago. When talking with this new psychiatrist, after she diagnosed me, she insisted on prescribing me Wellbutrin instead of a stimulant because she believes stimulants are “too hard on the body“. She went on to say that if Wellbutrin didn’t work (that would take a couple months to find out), we could look at stimulants. I’m feeling nervous about the timeline of this, especially with the school course load I have in front of me (with a future in healthcare). Is this normal, how can I voice my concerns and have others experienced this? Thank you!!

Hi!! Im kind of a beginner in this, so this might be a silly question.. I am pretty conscious of what I eat, I take a low FODMAP fiber supplement, eat good fruits and veg., sleep 8+ hours, workout, etc. But I drink 1-2 diet cokes a day. How bad is this for me all things considered??
