Authors who put bare minimum in interacting with their audience

(I've put brightest examples everyone can recognize, there are many creators like them)

UTDR and ULTRAKILL communities are infamous for many reasons but that doesn't stop creators like Hakita or Toby Fox to develop their own projects while interacting with their fanbase on very rare occasions, while actually listening to the general critiques on gameplay and making patches as they go with development and occasionaly making posts about how the development goes. The problem with interacting with own audience is that you can put more of a bad image for the entire thing you've made, as it might not be associated with just "bad" fanbase, but also the creator being "bad". This is why, sadly, a lot of people mock on TADC and Hazbin Hotel & Helluva Boss and specficially their creators because both Gooseworx and Vivienne tried to prove something to their own audience, making the backlash only worse. And to be honest, from what I know, Hakita used to flame on random people of his community for saying stupid stuff or suggestions but from what I know now he doesn't do it anymore, which makes me have even more respect on him as an author

It's real odd feeling when you talk to people who can potentially be good friends, knowing that once you stop reaching out to them, they won't remember you anymore

You can have good connection with them, sharing a lot of things in common but will they care about you as a person? No, to them you're just a person they can talk about something and do something fun together to not die of boredom. They don't think of you as a friend, even if they say that you are their friend.

I had not realised in a long time that most of the "friends" you make is just either situationship (college group, job colleagues) or you really want to hold onto a person who won't really care once you're gone. Real friends will remember you and care about you as much as you remember and care about them.

I've learned to not hold onto people and just enjoy communication with them in the moment and life honestly has been way easier when I started to think like that, I have very few people who I can consider as friends and I'm satisfied, but it still gives very alien feeling that you talk to a nice person and most of the times they turn out to be just polite, once you leave their life they won't bother coming back to you.

It's funny how many people judge creative works despite barely/never creating anything themselves

I've seen a lot of people who judge artwork, music or writing, while never/barely actually being in any of this creative field.

You legitimately can see someone criticising artwork while they either don't draw anything themselves and go to gym as their main hobby OR they draw much worse than the artist they criticise (lowkey the things they tell should apply to themselves)

I'd rather say that something doesn't seem right with the work than criticizing it like I know what I'm talking about (and can back it up) and don't repeat anything said by some YouTuber. If I do however see that something isn't right and I know the solution from my experience, I criticise the fellow artist and give proper advice

Hyjack (Deltarune: Chapter Rewritten (AU))

Jackenstein swap designed by WilkusMan (on twitter) for Winterer's project

I love this guy on the same level as Tenna. Despite the simmilarities he has many of his own quirks.
Unlike Tenna he has an artstyle you'd see in the The Neverhood or a PS1 game. The way he's animated gives away the claymation vibes.

The thing I generally want to point out is the way he's designed. He's shorter and wider, while having similar design traits as Jackenstein, with dirty patched clothes, the skeleton symbol (instead of skull, THIS version of Jackenstein has ribs beneath the jacket) and the nails lodged into the head. As a Tenna counterpart he was stored in the garage in complete darkness, until he was put back in the living room so Asriel could watch some spooky movies on a Halloween holiday, that caused Hyjack and the darkworld to be spooky halloween themed, which nicely reflects the original Jackenstein.

Additionaly the power cord beig his tail is a cherry on the top

Pissed at how combat in roleplay is treated

I had dozens of cases whenever combat in a roleplay session happens, the respondent did everything to pull a victory for their character, throwing away basic RP etiquette.

  1. They pull an attack and how it affects the attacked right after without acknowledging if it would do something or not to my character. Example: *A throws a stone at B and he falls down unconscious* No this would not happen, he had construction site helmet on his head, it would bounce off his head

  2. Unless I don't do the same (which is unfair), casting just an attack always will lead to blocking, dodging or parrying, like their character is a godlike, never letting them get hurt themselves

  3. When their character does get hit, they tank it like a good chump when it logically (for the character) should have broken their ribs for example

  4. They shift the reality of what happened or add the details that didn't happen to my character despite me describing it

Example:

Me: A dodged the hit rolling backwards before regrouping and stopping at the wall like ninja; Them: When A rolled backwards and hit the wall, B pinned them to the wall with sharp daggers

For god's sake I want roleplay to be fair and fun. Why do I need to agree with the fact that a partner writes the entire combat for me? Might as well write your own fic where you can do whatever you want with characters

[M4A] Looking for a bud to write fun stuff with!

Hi, I'm a 20 year old noname on the internet who seeks someone I can write wacky and fun stuff with, as I have a lot of ideas regarding my own characters, worldbuilding, lore and more but rarely manage to write them down all by myself, roleplaying has always been fun for me due to the aspect of doing that with someone else (keeps me busy hehe) and I really look forward to find someone with the same mindset.
I'm not so experienced regarding the RP compared to most of the people in this subreddit, about 3 years but I've managed to grow to the level of Paragraph+ with a descriptive storytelling and usage of inner monologue of characters, showing their thoughts in order to make my writing engaging to other people. So it's from 1 to 6+ paragraphs depending on whether it's emotional moment of characters' or describing an odd alien location of a setting characters are put in. I have no problem with using multiple characters at once, (though my brain might explode if there are too many)

I like writing Combat, Romance, Horror, Mystery but I don't really like to write within real life setting that is boooooooring.

I have a wide range of male and female OCs and respective worldbuildings they belong to: Superheroes, Sci-fi/Sci-fi Horror, Medieval Fantasy or Modern Fantasy. If you want to have your character experience a weird realm full of surprises, that's also an option, since I have a worldbuilding with characters stored for that. There's also a set of characters for already existing worldbuilding, which is Hazbin Hotel so I'm also open for this RP if you have Hellaverse sinner OCs.

However I have characters whose aspects I can change to fit the settings of partners own worldbuilding when they don't belong to such in the first place, so if I like the premise of worldbuilding, I'll be glad to adapt some characters to it and start the RP with that.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

- I wish to have RP with somebody long-term, so I really hope we get along ;]

- 18+ Only, though I'd prefer people of age close to mine

- Regarding NSFW: Violence, Gore, Sexual scenes are alright and should be fun for the setting we choose and character interactions we go for as long as you don't go overboard with this or roleplay for the sake of it

- Be open to OOC. I love chatting,, and often love discussing not only everyday life; but theories, headcanons, sharing music, art (I kinda am an artist and love sketching moments from RP), discussing characters, games or series. I'm not just looking for just a partner, I'm looking for a buddy who I can spend fun time with! Interacting with a person without chatting outside of the RP feels pretty dry

- I am open to having various stories focused on different characters within the same setting or completely different settings. That being said I'm not limited to only one story, we can always go back and forth.

- Please communicate. I might make mistakes regarding RP, whether it be logic or me breaking rules. Generally it's just good when people communicate :]

- I'm not strict regarding frequency of replies, as long as you don't have a habit of forgetting about the session or dropping it altogether at slightest inconvenience. I fully respect people's time as they can be busy with anything. I personally will go to the next semester in college soon so my own replies will be slower than usual

Thanks for reading! Will check the responses once I'm available.

I want to setup server with strict world size and void outside the borders. How do I do it?

So I want to make an RP Minecraft server revolving around Sculk Horde infection mod. The problem is that the infection can spread outside the world borders. This potentialy can make players completely unable to do anything about it other than to relocate their entire base.

What are the tools that allow to stop chunks from generating? Because I've tried Chunky before and it didn't do anything.

This Deltarune fanon

Gaster, Vessel, Knight, IMAGE_FRIEND, Normalnpc and ERAM being either in one circle of friends or straight up one cartoonishly evil gang

It doesn't make sense plot wise but the thing that unites them is their mystery. And I freaking love occasionaly seeing comics of them interacting with eachother like it's normal Tuesday

[Favorite Trope] Out of pocket reveal of horrifying detail about seemingly normal character

1. Normal NPC (Deltarune) Onion San in chapter 1 told Kris that he heard singing at the other end of the Lake and went to investigate there, next chapter he was absent but instead there was Normal NPC who, as a parrot monster, most likely mimicked his voice at last moments: "Wait, don't. Wait... don't!!!". He was suspected to be the reason Onion San disappeared but not believed to, but chapter 5 straight up confirmed it as Normal NPC was selling takayakis and they tasted like "raw onions"

2. Monika (Doki Doki Literature Club!) Mid-conversation she casually admits, that she's been manually tweaking her friends' personality files—which is why Sayori's depression got exponentially worse and Yuri's obsession spiked. She speaks about deleting and rewriting them like editing a school essay, all while maintaining her cheerful, poetic personality.

3.Kyubey (Puella Magi Madoka Magica) He casually explained that the "Soul Gem" is actually their literal soul ripped from their body, and that magical girls eventually transform into the very witches they fight. He treated this logistical footnote as perfectly reasonable, never understanding why the girls were horrified.

Got this fifth cat unit after first battle in the Alley. Is this some random event thing?

It's not one battle thing. It takes part in every battle I have so far

The villain is a nightmare fuel in contrast to everything

I put other characters in comparison to each villain.

1-2. Lich (Adventure Time)
3-4. Flowey, Omega form (UNDERTALE)
5-6. Nowhere King (Centaurworld)

"Heteroslop"

I really hate the fact that some people think that heterosexual relationships in fiction are boring or disgusting and it would be better if the dynamic was gay or lesbian. Like.. is it not normal to be born with this sexual preference?

Is it not normal to be only into girls as a guy?

I think this makes them more disrespectful towards the relationship dynamics they defend than they think they do saying crap like that

Upd: For those who think I'm homophobic. I'm implying that the heterosexual relationships are just as normal as anything else. I do not condone homophobia and I believe any relationship dynamics has a place in media

Unhinged Premise

1. Dog Ni***. Self published manga telling the story of a half human half dog protagonist who aims to rape his own father as he himself raped his dog mother, giving birth to the dog ni*** and dying after that

2. Rooster Fighter. Lone rooster Keiji, guardian of the humanity, fights kaijus created from humans consumed by extreme stress, trauma, or emotional distress

3. BRAZILLIAN DRUG DEALER 3. The title speaks for itself
