Signs that say 'return to the last town'

In the early 2000s, I was driving on the Linclon highway just past Hanna, WY and I came to what looked like a railroad crossing without a railroad, it was blocking the road and had a small sign on it saying to return to the last town.

Does anyone remember seeing signs like this? I am from Texas and have never seen anything like that. When I tell people the story about breaking down in Wyoming, I nearly question myself so I was just hoping on clerity.

I turned around and found the quaint little town of Hanna, where I stayed at the Golden Rule Motel. I never forgot the kindness extended to me there but I always question that sign.

Iowa Stereo to JVC in '92 Dodge Stealth with handmade bezel

I've had this Iowa stereo with removable face plate in my stealth since I bought it in 2004, it says that it was manufactured in 2000. It was amazing while it lasted but eventually it wouldn't work anymore.

I swapped it out with a newer JVC stereo with help from my brother. Once I had it in and confirmed that it was working, on at least one speaker, I started to try to make a bezel out of scrap wood that I had around the house. The tappered shape made that a bit difficult to look good so I covered it with some leather. The last image isn't the completed product, I was just fitting it to make sure it would fall in place alright. I was a bit tight at the bottom, so I will either need a better tool or to shave some of that bottom peice down. Overall, I think it was an upgrade. The music plays and there is one less gaping hole in the car.

Very much a novice, but I am sure that is easy to tell. Trying to fix up my car on a shoe string budget.

Mistake #1, I left a CD in the old deck.

My Paternal Great Grandmothers (1979 San Antonio, TX)

They both lived long enough for me to meet them, one died when I was 5 the other when I was 11.

This is my paternal grandmother's mother and my paternal grandfather's mother.

I was born 5 years later. They loved birds and gardening.

1957 Playland Park in San Antonio, TX

This is a classic kids amusement park that I attended as a child in the 90s. I believe the park was moved once or twice. it is or was around the zoo. This video is of my oldest uncle with his cousins.

Disneyland was weird in the 1960s

I have no idea what is going on here but based on the photos that were scanned with it, it seems to be at DisneyLand. Other photos include The Small World ride which look equally as frightening.

Does anyone here remember Disneyland from the 1960s? I have this labeled as 1967 but sometimes I had to guess but it should be close.

The Ford Edsel

My father was excited to stop and take a photo of this Ford Edsel somewhere near Port Lavaca, TX. He said the car was named after Henry Ford's son and was quite a failure. He believed it to be quite rare. I'd guess that it has been there for a while.

Has anyone seen Kittie on tour recently?

It's been over 20 years since I have seen them so I am second guessing my GA tickets though I am stoked and prepared to go in there like I am 18 again.

I was currious about how the shows have been. I am seeing them in San Antonio at one of my favorite venues but couldn't bring myself to buy VIP tickets though I should have. I used to meet them at their tour bus everytime when they used to tour a lot.

Fox Body in the wild

I should have taken more photos, it was in great condition from what I could see. I was out shopping in Central Texas when I parked near it.

I think it's a 1987

1959 Ford Fairlane 500

As seen at Dick's Classic Car Garage December 30, 2018

The 1959 Ford Galaxie/Fairlane we have here at Skyway is one few models with this option as it was only offered from 1957 to 1959. This 1959 was the rarest and last of the line.

This factory correct Indian Turquoise and Colonial White paint with matching vinyl interior 1959 Ford Galaxie convertible attracts a crowd anywhere or just cruising.
