For someone who’s never experienced it, what’s the best way to describe being in love? Like truly in love, love?

“I was in love Steven, like out of my mind in love. What did u want me to do?”

Coming from someone who’s never personally been in love (at least I don’t think) what’s it like?

Do you wake up tired?

Okay I thought this was like the weirdest question like “duh I wake up tired.” I love sleeping. But I was talking to a friend about how I wake up tired but don’t want to drink caffeine, and she was like “maybe you’re not getting enough sleep, or need to go see doctor.” I was like…”you don’t wake up tired?” And she was like…”not really no.” I was flabbergasted. I thought it was just a natural reaction/feeling to coming out of a state of rest. But apparently it’s not normal?? I need some input so I know whether to take this seriously or not. 🤦‍♀️

Hot take...would basic be boring in books?

hot take… I’m kind of tired of the “female (usually) that’s super smart/ talented/skilled in some way (but for some reason can’t display it), and beautiful (but couldn’t possibly know it bc she’s too busy focused on smth else until a guy (usually) points it out to her)” romance/adventure books.

Don’t get me wrong, I used read a lot of books like this and I mostly enjoyed them, but after finishing The Inheritance Games it felt like I had met the same main character from another book in a different font. Like it might be refreshing to meet a main character who’s…average? I know average is subjective, but think: not the top of her class, relatable, and not glass-shatteringly (?) attractive. I know it’s the point of the main character to be ‘different’ but idk. Would that kind of story be boring? what do u think?

(p.s. this is targeted more toward the romance/adventure genre)

What’s your biggest “back in my day?”

My older cousin and I used to do “back in my days.” Basically we would take any currently normal action/activity/object and treat it as if it’s drastically changed. For example: “back in my day, we used to get up and turn on the light switch.” “Back in my day, we used to have to walk.” They got really silly lol. But now I’m curious. What are some of your guys’ actual “back in my days?”

edit: oh my goodness 😆 all of these are so real. I’m showing them to my niece and she can’t believe them!

What’s the absolute best advice you can give to someone who has no clue what they want to do with their life?

As mentioned, idk what I want to do with my life. I’m an approaching college freshman with an undecided major. I don’t do any sports. I like music, but a career in that these days might as well be impossible. (I’m open to advice though) I’ve been told to be a lawyer so that I can put food on the table, but I don’t want to spend years of my life on smth I don’t really enjoy yk? I hope I’m not being difficult abt it. I’m like averagely smart but I really want to get better. Ivy Leagues are basically out of the question cus I’m not smart enough for those. I’ve tried getting involved but nothing seems to work. What’s the best advice one can give that’s not “just get more involved”. I’m scared I’m not well rounded enough.
