Gen 2 starts on second attempt, every time

Just curious if anyone else’s Gen 2 LP starts on the second spark up?

Not that it makes a difference, once it’s on it’s on but it’s interesting that it consistently drops the first start.

German car mechanic

Hello community,

My VW is up for a major service update interval and it is now out of warranty. I’m curious as to those of you who are German car owners, who do you trust other than the dealership?

Merci d’avance!

GSI bugaboo scratches

Hello community,

I’ve had this bugaboo set for about a decade and after having it in storage for the past 3 years I noticed some scratches in pots and pans (see pictures). Wondering if these are still good to use or safer to upgrade to a new set?

Thank you all in advance!

Is this arugula and can I eat it?

Hello community, I planted some arugula seeds a few weeks ago however, I thought I had planted some rocket and ended up with these.

Just confirming, is this arugula? Sap in clear and it smells peppery, although not as strong as rocket.

Thank you all in advance!

Wood source Canada

Hello all,

Those of you in Canada, where do you source your wood for burning in the dome? I’m looking at cutting down a few tree and drying it out for next year, but in the meantime, where can we get commercial wood that’s quality for the dome?

Thanks!

Basil trimming (yes again)

Hello community!

I picked up this beauty of a basil plant today and plan to plant her in my garden tomorrow. I’m looking for you advice on trimming for maximal growth.

How low should I cut her? I know it should be above the node but should it be the lowest node?

I recently transplanted another plant of basil and gave it a pretty low trim at the same time. She hasn’t recovered since (granted it got cold a few of the nights after planting). Regardless, I don’t want to shock this one by doing too much at one.

Thank you all for your time!

XL Placement Peel

Just bought a gen 2 Dome XL bundle. Initially I was looking for a large peel but this bundle includes the XL.

Curious to hear from those who have used the XL dome, how cumbersome is this peel is going to be to navigate for placing 2 pizzas or even for just 1?

Thank you all in advance!

Hello community,

I started an AP starter about 8 days ago with a 1:1:1 weighted feeds. It was thriving, tripling in size every 12 hours as attached in the photo below.

On day 6 I transitioned to a 1:2:2 one day feed as per a recommendation. Being that not much happened, I then reverted back to a 1:1:1 once a day.

Now at day 8 it has no rise whatsoever, lost its gassy smell and produces very few bubbles, see pictures..

Did I kill my starter?

Thank you all in advance!

Hello community,

I’m looking for a pasta board to roll my dough on. Curious on peoples recommendations on sizes. I may have a 72 x 24 inch board but that seems a little narrow to me and perhaps on the excessive side of long.

Thoughts?

Thank you all in advance!

Turning peels

Hello community,

I’m currently toying with the idea of getting a gen 2 dome XL as a bundle. The model I’m looking for is currently out of stock and it seems to be only because they cannot complete the bundle due to the balance turning peel being out of stock.

However, I can essentially build my own bundle however, I would have to settle for the utility turning peel instead. Never having used any of them, is this a big compromise? Will it actually make a difference?

Summer is right around the corner and I don’t know how long it’ll take for them to get the bundle up and running, I figured if I just build my own and use whatever peel they have in stock I could probably start using a dome sooner this year.

Thank you all in advance!

I just removed my mulch I found the ground to be quite saturated despite not being watered in 10 days. There was a while film on the top soil in some areas.

Wondering if the long term wet soil led to mould or simply ruined the growth for this year?

Thank you all in advance!
