More clips with some nice movement

These definitely could've been a lot cleaner but they felt good in the moment. The day before this I did 15 minutes of arbitrary movement just trying to make things a little smoother, and already there were two instances of using nice movement to weave around my opponent's option and punish (with the backflip at 0:15 and the waveland shield drop at 0:35). The second two clips I think definitely should've ended with fair, but as usual I just pressed whatever buttons came to mind in the moment and that happened to be uair.

Some clips I hit during friendlies at the local

Could've been cleaner, but I'm getting better and these felt really good. I can do some cool things when I'm not fighting for my life

[BotW] Piano cover + improv of the parasail minigame theme

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-xhrkJ1TMo

I took classical lessons for almost ten years, and learned a good amount of theory as well. Recently I've been wanting to learn how to improv, and I figure the best thing to do is to just dive in headfirst and learn through trial and error. So far I've been going through old pieces where I'm familiar enough with the left hand to play it (mostly) without thinking, leaving me free to improvise with the right. When I'm listening to music I can usually come up with an improvised melody in my head, but when I sit down to play I find it's a lot harder to turn it into something my hand can do in real time while maintaining tempo with the left. This was the best recording I got today, and there are still plenty of trips and stutters. Another problem is that a lot of the time it feels like my playing doesn't have any direction, like I'm just playing chord tones or random notes from the scale without any rhyme or reason and hoping it sounds good.

An early attempt at improv; what can I do better?

I took classical lessons for almost ten years, and learned a good amount of theory as well. So far I've been going through old pieces where I'm familiar enough with the left hand to play it (mostly) without thinking, leaving me free to improvise with the right. This is the parasail minigame music from Zelda: Breath of the Wild (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vwWFYy9UA0). "Customizable Weapon Viewmodel FOV" mod not working

I recently had to reinstall all of my mods, and "customizable weapon viewmodel fov" (https://mod.io/g/drg/m/customizable-weapon-fov#description) doesn't work. I can open the menu, but outside of the space rig I can't interact with the sliders or anything; clicking and dragging just moves the camera around. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it a couple times but it didn't work. All of my other mods work just fine. This was one of my favorite qol mods, to the point where I don't really want to play the game without it; does anyone know of a fix?

Family link exploit woes

Recently one of my Google accounts was hijacked with the family link exploit from a friend on Discord who also got hacked. I was stupid, I did the one thing everyone tells you not to do, etc etc etc. I was lucky enough to recover almost everything except the Google account itself, the YouTube channel associated with it, and the hacked Discord account with the gmail address. I've already reached out to YouTube support on X and am awaiting a response. I'm a bit worried that since the X account is brand new I won't get through to YouTube support, but if I can get their attention I'm hopeful that I can at least recover the YouTube channel with seven years of uploads and a couple hundred subscribers. Is there anything else I should do while I wait for a response?

Splashdown is not OP, exhibit A:

I’ve barely played this game at all for the past two years (which is to say, I’m washed), and yesterday I hit two splashdown cancels in a single play session. There is more than enough counterplay to this special, even if you can’t cancel it consistently. Either look up, or back up.

When to use 8va/8vb vs different clefs?

I have this passage in a piano arrangement where both hands play fairly low, necessitating either an 8vb or a different clef. Which of these is most readable?

70 minutes of my tournament gameplay for your viewing pleasure

I played two brackets this week where I actually had access to the .slp files for once. As always, I'd be glad to hear feedback, but if it's going to be something along the lines of "you need to work on your movement/execution/not standing around doing nothing," this is something I've known for as long as I've been playing melee, and you can save yourself the trouble unless you can tell me some magical improvement method other than playing the game a ton and trying things in different situations. I could write more about my specific problems with each matchup, but I think it boils down to having a poor understanding (or ability to act on said understanding) of spacing against different characters. Marth and falco still feel like impenetrable walls, fox feels like he can just plow through any wall I try to set up myself, and I wouldn't be surprised if I'm making fatal mistakes when I get hit, but I don't know where or how to fix it. (I don't have much to say about the falcon games, because you can also tell that I made it farther in bracket than intended via dq, which also meant I was playing at 10 pm an hour after my previous set with cold hands and a tired mind.) That being said, I have been seeing some small improvements in my punish game, which is very encouraging. I feel like every time I play I either try something new or it works, or I do an old thing so much cleaner/more smooth than normal.

Falco laser is the single most frustrating thing in this game for me to deal with because he can interrupt literally whatever I'm doing from anywhere he wants just by pressing b, and none of my counterplay seems to work. The only option I've found consistently prevents the falco from getting something directly out of the laser is holding shield, but now I'm holding shield against falco (i.e. not having a good time). Sometimes a full hop gets me out of there, but it feels like more often than not the laser clips me and I come right back down to the ground and falco gets to have a field day with me.
