First one!!

Just bought this dude today, kinda an impulse purchase tbh, but I figure if I can keep carnivorous plants and cacti alive I'm up to the task of not killing begonia. Haven't repotted this guy yet because I've heard they're temperamental for that. Any advice is very appreciated 😅

He's actually a chill guy tho.

Sphagnum(and star moss) in my bog

This stuff is finally taking off, shame I'm gonna need to replant some things and disturb it soon.

New growth in my bog!

Just sharing this!! It's been super slow going(possibly because of the heat and star moss that's everywhere) but my sphagnum seems to finally be taking off.

Check out those roots!!!

Picked up another haworthia to fill a gap(an echevaria I killed oops) in this pot! He's got crazy chunky roots which is always a good sign.

Also added a picture of the sun coming through the windows on my haworthia cooperi, it always amazes me that these guys are real.

New plants

Just some nice finds while I was shopping today 😎. Unfortunately a chipmunk straight up stole and ate one of my gymnos so I had to go get this dude as a replacement. Either way i had fun replanting some of these dudes

(Not so) Blue Phantom

He's definitely a lot less blue than when I got him, but I'll take that if it means he's willing to be out and about like this

Flowering like crazy

I can't even keep up with trimming back the sundew flowers at this point 😅

Neat dude at lfs

Neat colors on this fellow. For reference he's in one of the tanks at the lfs I work for and I don't think I've even seen an adult male bristlenose with his colors. I've seen plenty of common bristlenoses, but the orange color to him is crazy cool

Lot of extra liner

Still. Seems to be holding water!! This is the 4th pond my father and I have put in. Part of the extra liner is gonna be used for an in ground bog. Im thinking I may also extend the pond a bit or possibly cut another shelf into it

New Phantom

So I work at an lfs, and we usually take trade ins/rescues. A dude came through today and dropped off this big ass green phantom as a surrender, like pretty sure this dude is every bit of 7 inches. Since he was literally placed into my hands I figured id bring him home.

I wasn't really expecting to bring home a huge pleco today tbh, but he's chilling in my 75 with my blue phantom now.

Any name suggestions 😅

Twinkle twinkle...

Caught both of the baby starlight plecos out tonight(shocking tbh). I have a distinct feeling the one on the glass is going to turn out to be a pepermint pleco though.

Blue phantom time

Just trying very hard to share this dude(or lady I think??) But all the goobers in this tank keep photobombing and otherwise being a nuisance.

Either way, this is my blue phantom(aka The Nefarious Hole Puncher because of what wad done to my crypts when I first got her). A super cool fish with great color that I see maybe once a week alas

Twig time

I love seeing twiggy actually do his whole camouflage thing. 10/10 would recommend adding new sticks every now and then if you have these guys, he always seems more interested in the fresh ones

Ps. Ignore the photobombers, they're poorly behaved

1st proper pitcher

This is the first proper pitcher I've gotten from this guy (Sarracenia x popei) and I couldn't be more delighted. It balances nicely with the purps ive got in this pot too

Whiptails!!!

This is my first time keeping these guys and I'm genuinely surprised by how active (not that this video shows it) they are compared to farlowella. Also im so happy with how well their colors match the rocks

Lucky find today

As the title says, I got super lucky and found this queen while I was repotting some plants outside. Im looking forward to having a proper carpenter ant colony in the future!!

New Display

Figured it was about time to condense some pots!! Some of these dudes were super thirsty though 😅. I've still got a lot more repotting(and some very spiky cacti) left to do today so I started with the easy stuff.

Syno feeding frenzy

Fed some of the Petricola at work yesterday, these guys went absolutely mental. Definitely has made me reconsider getting some tbh
