WIN Fertility makes me wanna pull my hair out.

My egg retrieval is this Thursday May 21st and I thought pre-authorization was all taken care of....only it wasn't. BCBS gave my clinic the wrong information so the pre-authorization was never sent to WIN (a new person was handling my pre-authorization so yay for me). Last thursday the office manager reached out to WIN and they were going to send her a fax so the pre-authorization could be filled out and marked as urgent.

Friday, I got a call from the office manager that WIN is telling her that the clinic is in network but my doctor isn't (she's the only doctor, it's her clinic!). So I called WIN and the lady I spoke to was so rude! After I told her what I had been told she basically said the office manager lied and then told me exactly what I had just said! She then tried to transfer me to a nurse but none were available so I was told I would receive a call back. Nobody called me back.

Monday, today, rolls around and I'm thinking this has to be solved today if I want this egg retrieval to be covered. I called WIN and was immediately transferred to a nurse who thankfully was available to speak with me! She is now looking into the issue.

The crazy thing is my doctor is credentialed with WIN until 2027! The office manager sent me a screenshot of the email my doctor received from WIN that noted she was credentialed and the date she would need to renew.

I partly feel like we are being lied to by WIN so they don't have to cover this egg retrieval. I say that because after we started the process we found out my husband was getting laid off from his job come July 1st. I had called WIN to see when we would lose access to our benefits. Do you see where I'm going with this?? Because they know he won't be eligible for benefits soon they are doing what they can to not cover our retrieval. I really hope this isn't the case but it definitely feels that way.

Update: nobody from WIN called me back and after my ultrasound my egg retrieval has been moved to Wednesday. I'm not getting that pre-authorization am I?? 😭

Toyota RAV-4 Classic

Nowadays, Toyota RAV4 is essentially a Camry SUV, a family car, but it wasn't always like that.

First gen "Recreational Active Vehicle with 4-wheel drive" was a fun light off-roader, like a baby more affordable Land Cruiser.

So, what if Toyota decided to bring back a more recreational body, short wheel base, to the RAV-4?
