Alright so hear me out, I don’t find max Grounded difficulty fun or enjoyable at all.

And I’ll preface with the fact TLOU 2 is my favorite of any media of all time. Followed by pt 1 lol. So ofc I’ve played through many many times. Always taking any excuse.

But idk, doing a grounded or survivor or whatever the max is, playthrough of chronological.. And like yeah I get it’s supposed to “realistic” and incredibly challenging. But come on man, it’s still a video game at the end of the day. Like what’s the point of having all these weapons, guns, etc if literally all you can ever use is your switchblade and bottles/bricks??

Its essentially just turns into a hardcore stealth game. Constantly having to restart encounters because someone saw you choking someone and you’re dead in a second lol Idk how these people do it on this difficulty with permadeath. Absolutely insane. All this incredible combat, depth and nuance. But you hardly experience any of it.

I just wish maybe there was a little more leniency with resources/ammo. To make a little more fun and enjoyable. Too much of a gap between the higher difficulties. And yes I know there’s custom difficulty options.. But obviously it’s not technically the same and doesn’t count for anything.

Am I just being a bxtch here??

13.6% Final Value Fee is kind of insane. Based on $133 total sale. Took $18 right off the top lol

Not yet including promoted listing fee. Idk what made me really notice this time.. Maybe because I offered free shipping on this item, but that stings a bit lol

Actually now making me consider implementing the listing requirements to get the Top Rated FVF discount. Just takes the excitement of making a good sale right out the window.

Any real life tangible benefits to being Top Rated Seller?

I got the email this morning. Honestly a little to my surprise. As I’ve only been selling for 6 months. And have had my share of.. hiccups so to speak lol

So far the email did note some discounts on final value fees, which I’m pretty stoked about that. Screenshot in the comments.

Idk if any of you saw Skillup’s initial review, but the more that I’ve played this game the more I feel exactly what he’s talking about

For context, the overarching theme of the review video was, “Why is Dragons Dogma 2 good??” lol And I’ve found myself asking and trying to answer that question many times over the maybe 75 hours total I have in the game so far.

By all accounts it’s not a game I should like very much, or have put this many hours into. But clearly, evidence suggests I do enjoy it. And keep coming back lol But if I were to have to articulate to someone exactly why that is or what makes it a great game, I couldn’t do it.

Maybe it’s because of the RE Engine, which I am very fond of. Probably part of it, yeah. It’s also a much improved experience on the Pro vs base consoles. The recent updates improved it a whole more. And the combat is great, but nothing that’s really all that different from others. Enemy variety isn’t great, narrative structure is a little weird and not great, quests and their structure is very basic, world is straight gorgeous at times, but again it’s nothing “truly special” that you can’t find elsewhere.
But yet there’s many times where I’ll still choose to load up DD2 over Crimson Desert, (if I’m in the mood for this type of game) which is also an amazing game and have over 100hrs in.

But I think it’s also much more than the sum of its parts yk. All these kind of seemingly little things here and there that do add up to something special. Like I just got to and finished the “Put a spring in thy step” quest. Minor bug as he was right behind me like 10 feet from hot springs, then just disappeared lol Had to go back to his house and escort again. I had no idea what this quest would end with, was just gonna say screw it and no start over again. But am I glad I finished it.

But it’s things like that where I had no idea or reason to believe that completing that quest would produce the results that it did. So idk, sorry for the long rant. The discourse around this game just fascinates me.

TLDR: Why is DD2 Good??

Thought this sub might be the appropriate place for this. Sam’s Club membership charges feeling very shady.

So Sam’s Club membership is in my wife’s name. And has only ever had her cards on file for payment methods. Never have used my bank card at Sam’s Club ever.

A little while ago, I open my bank account and see a $50 charge from Sam’s Club. I was like wtf?? Thinking I was compromised somehow. But turns out I guess all my wife’s cards on file failed for membership payment. And so they were then somehow able to charge MY bank card?? Which as I mentioned has never been used or affiliated with Samsung Club at all ever lol

The only possible way I could see is having access to the bank account my wife’s card is attached to. Which is technically a “joint account” between us.. And were then able to get to my account/debit card and charge me lol For her membership. Is that not insane??

Tried getting through to customer service. But that was obviously a nightmare. And wasn’t really getting anywhere, mostly for the fact it technically is my wife’s account and not mine. Isn’t that ironic lol.. Unfortunately my wife was unavailable to handle it as there was just a lot going on at that time. So a couple days went by and just forgot about it. Was like 6 months ago maybe. But recently remembered and got infuriated all over again.

Anyone else ever have happen or hear about something like this??

Idk how but I missed this armor being a preorder only bonus. It’s so cool and well done I absolutely would’ve preordered just for that.

Idk I guess I thought it was just the 3 PlayStation armor skins. Too bad so sad I guess lol

Bank account verification with a Federal Credit Union

Edit: Figured out the issue. I needed to use my MICR number, not the “account number”. After restarting the process with that, the micro deposits showed up the very next morning. Except after confirming, and eBay saying “Thanks your verified and all good to go!”.. My account in fact is NOT good to go. Everything is still on hold with just a message saying “your account is being verified”. Like wtf??? I swear they find literally any opportunity to hold your $ longer.

Basically, I’ve been using my debit card as my only on file payment method this entire time just fine. Already been verified etc.

They basically tricked me into adding a bank account by telling me I was pre-approved for seller capital. Funds are a little tight for us right now, why I decided to check out this offer lol.

But in order to accept the offer I had to add a bank account, not my debit card. Which I did, or thought I did. Next thing I know after accepting the pre-approved offer, I was actually not approved lol and was denied. BUT, the bank account was still technically added to eBay. Which triggers them putting payouts on hold and verifying this bank account, that I never needed on here in the first place lol

Been over a week now. Talked to customer service, all these things. It wouldn’t let me use the login method. Micro deposits never came. I was finally able to re-add the account info today.. and I guess now stuck waiting for more micro deposits to may or may not show up..

Was reading about some others having issues with Credit Unions and eBay verification. Crazy to me that once you add the secondary bank account, you’re stuck. Try to delete it they force you to add a different one. Even though debit card works fine. I really really don’t want to start some new random bank account just to get my $ from eBay, just to delete it and remove it after the fact. So gd stupid.

Have had this game pretty much since launch. And yes that 40hrs is still my first playthrough.

I generally have no problems with “hard games”. Not gonna go down my list of references lol But even with Cronos, the whole game up until Pathfinder was smooth sailing. Hardly died at all.

Which brings me to my point. The spike the Pathfinder fight compared to the rest of the game is absolutely MASSIVE. Not to mention how damage spongey he gets. Among other things..

Also feels like an oversight and just really unfair for him to have all these crazy fast teleporting attacks with no dodge or block abilities or anything. Completely changes the rules of combat you spend the entire game learning. Almost feels RNG lucked based a lot of the time if you just happen to be running in the right angle/direction to avoid his melee attacks.

Kind of reminds me of the Crimson Desert boss issues before they patched it.

Idk I absolutely love this game, and no shade to Bloober. It’s just this final fight feels very “off”. And surprised in all the testing and everything, everyone’s like, Yup this is perfect! lol

So crazy. Photo mode couldn’t have come at a more perfect time for me lol

I had just gotten to the Cathedral yesterday, and was like Damn. This place is grogeous. Prime photo mode material. Then here we are very next day lol

Also side note, the way they added all the in-game materials and loot boxes as light sources with reflections is pretty awesome.

Hey friends, need some help/advice, ideally from anyone that’s sold anything of very high value on eBay.

Have had my shop about 6 months now, and have done quite well. But never sold anything more than a couple hundred dollars.

Long story short, came into a piece a jewelry (no it’s not stolen or anything like that) And turns out it’s a very nice, very fancy, VERY expensive piece of jewelry. I’ll say over $5k under $20k. And no it’s not a fake.

And so I know the very basics. Like ensure signature upon delivery. Not USPS or FedEx. Insurance, etc. But is there anything else? I def need to sell it because need the $. And let’s be real I also want the $ too lol. But don’t feel like getting ripped off by a pawn shop. I don’t really know a person I trust with that kind of disposable liquid. So idk kind of feels like my eBay shop is the best option.

But is there like the risk of the buyer idk trying to swap it out and claim an INAD return or something? Or just straight send back an empty box lol I have no returns ofc.. But idk just want to as much due diligence as possible yk.

With the Onimusha demo one thing has become abundantly clear..

Capcom really is one hell of a studio. Not like that wasn’t clear already lol

On top of how fantastic their RE Engine is, they just know how to make a damn good video game ass video game. At a clip that’s even more impressive than Insomniac at this point. For the fact the games they’re putting out are fundamentally different from one another. Where with Insomniac, hard to deny Wolverine is not too dissimilar from a Spiderman game.

I never okayed the original Onimusha(s), but after less than an hour so far, already shaping up to be my new favorite Samurai game. And I’ve pretty much played them all lol Within the last 10 years at least.

Hello friends, was hoping per chance if anyone in here can confirm if this does in fact add adaptive trigger support on PS5/Pro?

Was disappointed with the original PS5 upgrade not including full dualsense. But I’m also very aware of the frustrating issue of games on PS store page listing haptics and triggers supported, but that not actually being true in-game.

No research online was able to provide me any results. So figured I’d just ask in here. Please and thanks.

Naughty Dog seriously, WTF??

Why are you doing this us?? Why did you reveal so gd early that it’s probably gonna be over 2 years before we hear another peep from you?

I really thought today was gonna be it.. Like I really did. Why tf does Santa Monica reveal a new ip with a 20 minute trailer. But we get one cinematic for the first new ip in what idk how long now.

I mean you guys can’t tell us ANYTHING? Not even a, “More updates to come in (general timeframe)”. We don’t even technically have a release year as it stands. Sure people say 2027, but that’s just speculation. In fact everything is just speculation because we know nothing lol Other than the generic premise and who the main character is. Honestly at this point I would’ve rather no reveal in ‘24 and just stayed in the dark until we were a little closer to a light in the tunnel.

Just tell us something ffs. Please and thank you ofc.

Literally have to be at work and open the shop at the exact same time it launches…

Still so frustrating they chose immediately AFTER a holiday weekend!

Like I kind of regret paying for “early access” now because hardly anyone will even be able to “access” at this time lol Should’ve looked at the calendar a little closer beforehand.

007 First Light on PS5 Pro: upgraded PSSR upscaling details

All of these “(New game launching) PS5 Pro Enhancements Detailed” blog posts are starting to sound exactly the same. Like literally copy/paste level lol From RE Requiem to now with 007.

“Blah blah..More detail..blah blah..cleaner image..blah blah..more stable in motion..” And then ofc the quote from the studio being like, “The best part of PSSR 2 is how little was required to implement the upgraded PSSR” Oh lol you don’t say..

Like I get it to an extent, they need to promote the Pro/new PSSR, but at least have some more game specific enhancements! Was a complete waste of time reading that lol

If it weren’t for 2nd chance I’d have ragequit by now. Literally every boss so far always within an inch of their life.

I always feel guilty for having it active lol But honestly my thought is that if Sekiro of all games has a second chance mechanic, then I feel it’s perfectly acceptable to use in Saros.

Also, side question, Is there a way to not have to fight the boss again when revisiting previous Biomes? Like in Returnal how you could choose to fight the boss again if you wanted, but there’s always another route to take into the next Biome. Unless I’ve missed it, have not seen anything like that here.

I know I’m a hypocrite, and complained about no VRR, but Saros has been AWESOME.

Just been straight up gorgeous and a joy to look at. Often forget it’s even a UE5 game. The no motion blur also really surprised me with how much better it makes everything.

I 100% like it more than Returnal. In just about every way. Zero complaints in that regard. Same type of challenge except now I don’t want to throw my controller out the window when I die. The narrative and character additions have been a very welcomed change. Switches up the monotony a bit. More cutscenes add a little extra flair, adds a layer of grounded reality and honestly make it a little more immersive for me.

The dualsense is vastly improved, as well as audio. HDR is phenomenal. No dropped frames. Enemy design and AI is more thoughtful and creative. Skill tree, Armor options.

I mean I literally do not have a single complaint or bad thing to say about it lol. Highly recommend.

I guess tbf though second chance was activated when it was down to just a few hits/one power shot left. Ngl I’m glad I did have that unlocked though because dying right at the end like that would’ve pissed me tf off lol

I know there’s all the complaints it’s “too easy” compared to Returnal, but I honestly don’t feel that it is. As many others have said it just feels more fair/forgiving and more accessible. I mean shit Sekiro is regarded as one of the hardest games out there and there’s a 2nd chance mechanic and fast travel.

Granted it’s only been maybe 5-6ish attempts total. Still feels like I’m underperforming.

I will say though the “one more run” addiction is significantly stronger here than with Returnal. After dying in Returnal I was pretty much done with it til next time lol

It was great in Returnal obviously, but for how much attention it got the adaptive triggers specifically, imo, weren’t really anything crazy.

It was mostly just the alt-fire L2 that was the whole standout thing. But at the same time games like Sniper Elite also implemented the same thing. There were still many games with better triggers imo, like Naughty Dog’s games, Insomniac, Capcom, Etc.

But here they’ve taken it next next level more than I expected. Where they finally implemented actual “feedback”, like with an assault rifle for example where each round kicks back the trigger. Plus expanding upon L2. I could go on about the dualsense here all day long lol

The haptics are also obviously the best I’ve seen yet. Especially as it changes with camera rotation. Like you’ll feel projectile vibrations on the left or right side depending on the camera. It became immediately apparent just in the opening with the typewriter.
