SN0138-B 37mm ST2130 - 1st Impressions

Took a few quick shots of the San Martin SN0138-B 37mm ST2130 since a fellow redditor asked about it👌

First impressions after receiving it today, honestly pretty impressed. I’ve handled a few San Martins before so the finishing quality is as expected, but this one wears REALLY nicely on my 6.5 inch wrist. Small watch, but definitely not small presence. The proportions are spot on, but not for Hulk wrist sizes. I’ve taken a picture of the WD1969 PRO next to it just for comparisons sake. The SN0138 wears like a 39mm, at least to my perception.

Measured it at 12.9mm case thickness, lug to lug at 47.1mm, still wears a bit flat though but has some presence on the wrist. I went for the waffle dial but they have different colors on there to choose from. Bracelet also feels solid and comfortable straight out of the box (aside from the usual San Martin plastic wrap wrestling match).

Can’t really comment much yet on the movement long-term reliability or serviceability since it’s day one for me, plus it’s my first time handling this kind of movement (ST2130) so I’d rather not pretend to be an expert there. Though after winding it for the first time today, it kind of has a similar grip like the PT5000, just an observation. Gonna wear it properly maybe for the next 3 weeks before making a more well-rounded review and will post on yt, but so far I’m genuinely enjoying it. Hope that’s helpful to some of you guys considering to buy.

Will update you guys after some real wrist time 👍

San Martin SN0116 Root Beer GMT - Quick 2mins Review

The San Martin SN0116-G Root Beer GMT delivers luxury watch vibes without the luxury price tag. Also has different color variations to choose from.

Solid finishing, smooth GMT function, and the on-the-fly clasp adjustment is PERFECT for hot weather, especially here in Dubai.

I have a full-length review on my channel as well if you’d like to check it out.

POV: you want Speedmaster vibes without selling a kidney.😂

The Watchdives WD1863 has no business being this good for the price. Slim case, meca-quartz chrono snap, vintage Speedy feel… and honestly just ridiculously comfortable on wrist.

This thing might be the ultimate “watch nerd gateway chrono.”

My full-review here if anyone’s curious:

Seriously, if SKMEI and other AliEx brands jump on this trend, I’d be happy to buy some! Just for the fun of it. They need to have a kids version though

I mean it’s Summer Time and it’s bout time we pull out those funky watches!

Still A Nice Versatile Piece!

Still enjoy wearing this one ☝🏼 I do hope they release a new version with their fresh new cursive style Addiesdive logo to match the look.

At 36mm, it’s so versatile and the thin case profile is not chunky on the wrist, while the bubble mineral glass gives it a bit more presence.

If Addiesdive were to remake this, my take would be to keep the same 36mm size, change to just their cursive Logo on the dial, keep the same dial or improve the shadows on the dunes like what they did with their AD2540. Put a VH31 movement so it sweeps, remove the scuba guy logo on the clasp and keep the Addiesdive text, and add a few more dial colors like deep dark blue like their AD2547, and coffee color the same as their AD2540.

Baby Alpinist vibes

The Militado ML08 is still one of the best affordable field watches with that Baby Alpinist-inspired design, clean dial, versatile look, reliable performance, and it won’t break the bank.

At 38mm, it wears perfectly on both smaller and larger wrists, making it an easy everyday watch option for watch enthusiasts and collectors alike.

Lume is a mix of blue and green. Equipped with sapphire crystal, screw down crown, and quality finish for just around $100, it’s easily a great choice for a daily beater.

SKMEI or any AliEx brand should jump on this opportunity while “AP don’t have IP”. That rhymes.😁

2 New Watchdives In The Roster

Watchdives doesn’t disappoint.

On the SS bracelet is the WD1969 PRO 38mm VH31. Fits perfectly on my 6.5inch wrist.

On the brown suede leather strap is the WD1016 V3 also a VH31, 37mm. Elevated look on the strap, but also comes with a stock SS oyster style bracelet.

Here’s a quick comparison of two similar looking watches (Explorer Style)

Watchdives WD1016 (Brown Textured Dial) is sized at 36mm and reasonably thinner (11.2mm thin) with a VH31 movement, while the Corgeut (Black Dial Color) is sized at 39mm and more thicker case (11.9mm) with an automatic movement inside. (Miyota 8215)

For a 6.5 inch wrist guy, I would always advise to get a 36mm watch other than a 39mm since it sits well on the wrist. However, a 39mm still works as long as you have more flat area to cover the lug to lug or use a rubber strap instead of the stock SS bracelet.

What do you guys think?🤔
