Oz has made himself yet another costume! This one was the original costume design I had for him, and it was so much fun to finally work it up.
Typically Kitsune are depicted with 9 tails, but Oz is young, and has a bit of learning to do before those last four tails are earned.
And don’t worry…he has a teacher coming soon! 😊

A couple weeks ago I released my “Detective Duck” pattern and started designing one of my favorite DD villains.
I was intimidated by his head, and I am just so chuffed with how it turned out! 😊

Mary Annette is one of Oswald’s friends, and as you can see she comes with extra personality.
Originally, she was just going to be a girl with curly hair and a hand-puppet, but then the name “Mary Annette” came to me and she…evolved. 😂

If I meet my crochet goals for the week I treat myself to starting the next week by spinning up one of the Muppets out of the official pattern book by Drew Hill.
Since I can never decide which to make my hubby draws a name out of a hat; this week was one of my favorites!

Decided to stretch myself and play with a bug/beetle theme for this one!
The extra pair of arms is wired and lightly stuffed, and a surface stitch up the middle of each horn makes it sturdy enough (but I may still block them)
The pattern is out next week. His Firebird and Cloud Dragon costumes are already available!

I’m working away at creating dolls to represent the flowers in my garden.
Peonies are one of my (and my grandmother’s) absolute favorite flowers.
They come in such a variety of colors and petal patterns that it made for a fun challenge to decide what a peony plast looks like.

This character is from the early 90’s, single season cartoon, The Pirates of Dark Water.
I have no real recollection of the show, but this character was one of my very first (and very favorite) action figures.
It actually took a bit of internet sleuthing to find this show and the character’s name back in 2017 when I dragged out my old toy box.
Obviously, I cannot in good conscience call this character by their original name.
NIDDLER is phonetically adjacent to too much unpleasantness.
So I’m taking suggestions if you have them!

I officially released my first patterns on Ravelry.
One of my crochet projects is making dolls to represent each plant in my garden.
I started with the passionflower vine that I planted earlier this spring.
I call my little plant people “Plasts” (like Chloroplast).
When I’m working in my garden there’s a little ongoing story that plays through my head as I pull weeds and such. Excited to bring this little characters to life!
