Epf interest is taxable if you are unemployed
Hello, I have 50L plus balance in my Epfo account and I have been unemployed since last year may. Question for the group:
Interest generated after the contribution stopped in may, will be taxable?
If yes, is there any exemption I can avail?
Do you hold your CA accountable if you are paying interest and penalty because of their oversight?
Context: I have a CA on retainership kind of arrangement and I pay premium for ITR filing (10k). I keep sending him all the transaction details which I think warrant for advance tax. Recently I sold some foreign rsu in march first week and sent the details to let me know if I need to pay advance tax. He made two mistakes:
- Didn’t calculate the taxes properly (the holding period was below 24 months so it needed to be stcg on foreign share) and just asked me to pay a lump sump significantly lower advance tax.
- And because of 1, since he didn’t calculate advance tax properly, I am paying penalty and interest.
Curious, how would you deal with this? Change CA, adjust it in the fee?
This is how you solve unwanted parking problem.
Tried and tested.
Every second is a potential final destination on Indian roads.
CAs, when you ask for higher fee/percentage when there is higher refund, do you also contribute if there is higher tax liability or penalty later on?
Why do you act like another government department?
HSR and adjacent folks, how do you sleep knowing that there is someone training on a giant plane right above your head?
Which car will you save like this? And doesn’t insurance cover for act of corruption?
That time of the year where you question your Indian Citizenship.
Super frustrated about ITR, pay huge taxes and get NOTHING in return - boils my blood 🩸
SBI IBKR transfer dollar rate (96) is higher than it's own TT rate (94.85)
Hi, Trying to transfer 5L to IBKR account but their dollar rate is charged at 96 while SBI TT buy rate for today is 94.85. They are also charging 10$ bank commission and some GST. Any workaround to save the bank commission and match the TT rate?

Ghost jobs, easy apply scam and what not? The platform is purely surviving on vanity metrics. Has anyone found a better alternative?
