Oem parts for x300?

I went to shoot today and my light fell right off on the first round. I went to pick it up and realized the bolt had broke.

I talk to Surefire and sent them pics telling them that I only need a new clamp and another fastener bolt. Dude says he’s sending me a new light.

Where can I find new some replacement parts?

Note: Bolt was torqued to 25 in/lbs with blue loctite about 6 months ago

What am I missing?

My son was mowing and said it started smoking and began to die so he cut it off.

I go out and try to start it and get nothing. Battery is good, but starter solenoid seemed to be cooked so I ordered a new solenoid.

As I removed the top cover I noticed the wires to the coils were rubbed bare so I did what any reasonable adult would do and removed the whole wiring harness.

I re wired the whole system minus the safety parts and it just turned over with no start. Pull the valve covers to check gaps and see that the exhaust push rod was broke and the intake push rod was bent on one of the cylinders so I replaced those and I have .005” gaps on all valves.

Now I have spark, getting fuel and compression is around 135lbs and still nothing. Won’t even pop off with starter fluid.

What next?

Sweden vs Brazil

I bought a 592xp late last year and have only ran it a couple times so it still looks brand new. I recently got my hands on a couple 372’s and really dig the 3 series saws.

Anyways, I saw a local post on marketplace of a dealer having a few new 395xp’s and I asked him if he would be interested in trading my 592 for the old school 395 and after I sent pictures he said he would trade. After looking a little closer at the power head, I noticed that the tag on the new 395 says made in Brazil.

I read up on it and it seems that husky started producing the 395’s and others in their Brazilian plant back in 2017 when they began producing the 5 series saws.

I’m sure the Brazilian saws are still totally legit seeing how most of the parts are still made in Sweden, but I figured I’d ask some of the veterans here what they think.

Would you guys make the trade or stick with the auto tune? I’m still leaning towards the trade, but I’m a welder, not a professional feller so my expertise is limited.

I’ll be replacing the top end on my 562xp soon, but this thing runs so good that I’m not in any hurry

Carb adj tool for gen 3 372xp

I’m pretty sure I need a 21 spline tool. The teeth on the carb are sharp yet the patterns I see for the tools appear to be for a more robust tooth pattern.

It sounds a little lean after I ported the muffler so I’m wanting to fatten it up a bit

Anyone here know where to find the proper tool for the job?

Five Sixty Who?

My 562xp crashed just after about five years and 60 hours. I took it back to the dealer after several hard hot starts and some throttle issues.

Found out today that it picked up an air leak in the cylinder after an O ring failed which caused the auto tune to run lean and scored the piston and cylinder. The warranty ran out about five months ago and they said it would cost around $500 to fix it so I decided to cut my losses and picked up a brand new shiny 372xp

Hopefully I’ll have better luck with this thing. I put about a tank of fuel through it today and so far I freaking love this saw! Just need to order a full wrap handle and I’ll be in business.

Best tractor modification I’ve made in a while

Cut the spikes off an Oregon bar vise and stuck it on the box blade. Seeing how I always have the tractor close by when I’m cutting anyways, I figured it made sense. I don’t know why I didn’t do it sooner.

I run a 562xp with a 24” bar 95% of the time, but sometimes you just need a little more bark. I forgot how mean the 592 is.

Cutting all the smaller stuff for firewood and milling the bigger pieces for tables and shelves. Still have a long way to go
