I'm in so much pain! My skin is so thin and easy to break now

I've been on a very low accutane dose for 9 months now. My skin looks great and acne is completely gone, but my dermatologist said that I have to keep taking it for at least 3 more months.

My biggest issue with accutane has been how fragile and thin my skin has become. I will lightly scratch an itch and it will literally open a wound. My arms are full of scratches and everyone's constantly commenting on it.

Anyways, this is me after walking for ten minutes in a pair of shoes that had never hurt me before.

Opinion on Nissan Micra 2017?

I don't know much about cars and I'm looking to buy my first one. Ideally, I'd get a Toyota, but I have a tight budget and not many options available where I live. Also, I'm not sure if it matters here, but I drive manual and the cars I'm looking into are manual.

I found a Nissan Micra 2017, 1.200cc, 75km and 95hp

I need opinions on it. Is it a good car? Is it reliable?

Why was Jill so horrible to Brynn?

I'm rewatching the show and I've noticed that Jill is extremely nasty to Brynn for no reason whatsoever. No matter what, she finds a way to attack her. It's like Brynn can't do anything right. Poor girl can't catch a break.

I know that Jill has been mean to pretty much every girl on the team, but she becomes a whole different person when it comes to Brynn.

Friend makes me feel terrible about myself

We've been friends since we were toddlers and we're both adults now.

I love her, but I feel like she is constantly trying to put me down and make me feel like no guy likes me, but they all like her. She has wrecked any confidence I had left in me when it comes to men.

Last year, there was a guy that would come talk to us for a while and of course, she had made it seem like he was into her and I believed her. That's why I was really surprised when he asked for my number instead of hers. I could tell that she didn't like that, so I never brought it up or anything, because I didn't want to make any of us feel uncomfortable, but she would bring him up all the time. And she was being a little mean about it. She'd say that she knows this guy wanted a more serious girl and he doesn't care about looks. And that she is a bit loud and playful and he prefers quiet girls. That he obviously doesn't like me, he just wants a quiet, serious girl to have a family with and that's all. And she'd talk badly about him, calling him ugly and judging him a lot.

Another thing is that there is this guy that I've liked for a very long time. Before she knew that I liked him, she never cared for him or mentioned him or anything. But now that she knows I like him, she won't shut up. It's always "guess who stopped with his car and started talking to me?". And "guess who couldn't stop staring at me last night?". I don't know if she's telling the truth and maybe she is. It breaks my heart a little. Everything feels like competition with her and it's exhausting.

It's always about her. How every guy likes her and how they all flirt with her etc. If I get any attention from men, she absolutely hates it and you can tell. She will immediately start being flirty and doing anything to grab their attention. Only once did I try to tell her about a guy that had been texting me and she was very dismissive and said that this guy has texted every girl on the planet, which I know isn't true.

I feel like shit. I'm at a point where I've stopped trying and I'm convinced I'll be alone forever. I'm out with friends and they will mention how a guy has been staring at me or flirting with me or whatever and I never notice or believe them, because I guess I'm brainwashed into believing that no guy actually likes me. I'm tired of this honestly. I've been nothing but supportive to her. And the worst thing is that I can't imagine my life without her. She's like a sister to me. She's always been. It just hurts.

My student thought I was her classmate

I found this subreddit, so I thought I'd share one of the countless stories I have. I'm 24 and the oldest I've ever gotten is 15-16.

This year I taught first grade. On the last day of school, as I was talking with my students, one little girl told me that when she saw me the first day of school, she thought I was a kid from her class and not a teacher.

I've been told I look 15 multiple times before, but 6? I know kids are terrible with ages, but it was hilarious. Miss those kiddos. 🥹

Please someone help. A month and no update whatsoever.

All Shein orders I've ever made arrived within 4-6 days. This time I made an order and it's been a month and still nothing. I haven't had an update in over 2 weeks. My parcel cleared customs 2 weeks ago and since then, I can't track it.

Customer service hasn't helped at all. All they say is that they can see my package is still in transit and that I should either be patient or cancel it and get a refund. I really want my parcel, but nobody can tell me where it is, I have zero updates and no tracking site can locate it.

I'm lost. Has anyone had anything similar happen to them? What can I do? Will I ever get it or is it lost? I'm so frustrated.

Riding instructors: Is it annoying when your students ask questions?

I had to move barns and my new instructor is great and I like him, but he doesn't like it when we talk or ask questions. At first I thought that was okay since I'm very quiet anyways, but sometimes I have questions about how to fix certain things and I'm afraid to ask him, because when I did a while ago, he got angry and told me that we annoy him when we ask questions and that I will figure it out myself. I'm a very shy and anxious person and I already have a hard time talking to people, so it was kind of humiliating when I finally mastered up the courage to ask and he responded that way. I wanted to cry so badly...

I look everything up when I get home after my lessons, but it's not always helpful. I want to learn, but I'm afraid to ask and I don't want to bother him.

He's not a bad person at all, but yeah, I don't know..

ps. unfortunately, changing barns or the instructor isn't possible right now

My legs go way too far back when I canter. Help

Whether I'm sitting the canter or being in a two point position, my legs go back. Way too far back. I looked it up online and it says it happens when you pinch with your knees, but I don't really do that. If anything, one of the corrections I get the most is to stick my knees to the saddle. I don't even understand it when I'm doing it. I actually found out a week ago after watching a video of me cantering and I cringed so hard. After two years of riding, only today I was told I'm doing this by my new instructor. My previous instructor hadn't told me anything and I didn't even know. And when I was told to bring my leg forward, I had a hard time doing so. It was easier when sitting the canter, but when on two point, it just went back. Why?

Frustrated with my coach

He has said it a million times that he hates teaching beginners and that we annoy him and he doesn't have the patience to deal with us anymore. He says he's too old to do this and will get really angry and frustrated over small things and then snap at us. Whenever we ask questions, he tells us to be quiet and that questions annoy him and we get on his nerves when he ask things.

I've been riding for 2.5 years. I had to change barns because I moved. This is the most accessible barn to me right now and it was also recommended to me by a few people. The coach is supposed to be one of the best in the country, but I guess that only applies if you're an experienced rider, because he absolutely hates us beginners. Not just me, but literally everybody in the group. One of my friends is already looking for another place to take lessons in. He wasn't like that a few months back. He was nice, sweet and explained everything. And now he is just done I guess. And the thing is, I really like him as a person. He has made me feel very welcome and he is always there to give a hug and comfort you. But that's outside lesson hours. During the lesson, it's just horrible.

It's gotten to the point where I'm scared of doing a mistake because it will upset him. I have questions to ask, but I don't because he doesn't like that. But then, how am I supposed to learn anything? He sometimes apologizes after the lesson, but nothing ever changes anyways.

I hate this because I adore this place and I love the horses and the people there. I've made friends and I have never felt more comfortable at a barn like I do at this one.

I'm just tired. I'm sorry I'm not a professional. I'm sorry I want to learn and I'm sorry I make mistakes. I didn't know I was supposed to be perfect and know everything... I don't even know why I'm making this post. I'm just really upset and confused right now. Sorry for the rant.

Can you just be a bad match with a horse?

Is it a bad thing if you don't vibe with a horse at all? Surely, that can't be a sign that you are a terrible rider, right? There's this lesson horse that I just can't seem to get and there's zero connection with her no matter how much time I spend with her on and off the saddle. She's sweet, but I don't think we are a good match at all.

Fear of speed and riding. Someone please help me. Feeling hopeless

I've been terrified of speed ever since I remember myself. Whenever cars I'm in go faster, I have panic attacks. My family has been skiing forever and although I'm a decent skier, I'm not as good as the rest of them because I'm terrified of going faster. If I gain speed, I feel like I'm losing control and fall intentionally. This applies to pretty much everything I do.

Same with riding. Whenever I go faster on a horse, I feel petrified. It's the reason of all of my falls so far too. I always have to canter with horses that have a slower canter, otherwise I'll get scared and panic. There's been two times where I actually MADE myself fall because I was terrified and felt like I was going to lose control. I don't understand why I do that. I just can't think straight when that happens and I fall before it gets worse. I know it sounds incredibly stupid and I honestly don't get it either. But I can't keep doing that. I want this to stop. I just don't know how to make it stop. My coach says that I'm a good rider and can go far if I let go of the fear. But how do I do that? Why am I so scared all the time? Why do I feel the need to somehow escape when the horse gets fast?

I'm so annoyed with myself and really frustrated and disappointed. I feel stuck and hopeless. I'll never get over that fear, will I? I really want to take it a step further, but this is holding me back. 😞

Worried I made the wrong decision. Which lesson barn would you choose?

Okay, so I used to ride at a fancy barn for two years. They were strict and made you work really hard, which I absolutely loved because I saw a HUGE difference in my riding there. I made great progress there and even if you were riding in a group, you still got a lot of attention and feedback. But that's the only thing I liked about that place. People there were very snobby, rude and so extremely arrogant. There was so much gossip and many cliques. The environment was toxic and pretty hostile to be honest. I know quite a few people that quit because of it and so did I.

So anyways, somebody recommended another barn with a great instructor. I went for a lesson and fell in love. The horses were so much better and better cared for. The instructor incredibly knowledgeable and experienced. The people were really welcoming and sweet and they truly feel like a family. I felt comfortable from day one. It's a much smaller place and everybody knows each other and they're all just so so sweet and nice. Here's the thing though. The instructor is a bit old and has admitted that he's "too old to do this" and that he gets bored and can't wait to finish each lesson. I didn't care at first, cause he's such an amazing person that is also pretty successful and has taught riders that went on to do great things. However, I can tell that he doesn't want to do this anymore and it shows in my riding.

It feels like I'm getting worse with time. I'm actually regressing. And I'm not the only one who has noticed that either. Even if I take more lessons now, I am still getting worse with time. We don't do as much as we did at the other barn. At the other barn, we used to do a lot of work without stirrups or reins, two point position for multiple rounds, a ton of sitting trot, a lot of ground poles and so many other things. We rarely do anything like that at this new place. I've had over 40 lessons so far and we only took our feet off the stirrups once and for less than 20 seconds and that was after I had been asking him for days.

I don't like how I'm getting worse at riding and I don't know what to do. I feel so much happier at the new place and I love everybody here. I can't imagine going back to the other one and it's really difficult to find a new place, so I feel kind of stuck.

What would you do if you were me? I really need some advice.

Suddenly can't sit the canter? I'm bouncing A LOT

So, for context, I've been riding for 2 years. I had a nasty fall a few months back, broke my pelvis and I was off for 4 months.

I could sit the canter just fine before, at least in most horses. And now I returned to riding and I couldn't sit it to save my life. I was bouncing around a lot, I almost fell off twice when the horse turned and I found myself pulling on the reins when I shouldn't have. I felt terrified and thought he was going way too fast, but I know he wasn't. I couldn't stop thinking that I'd fall off. I was certain it would happen. I'd stop all the time because I couldn't do it.

I can't sit it anymore. This is supposedly a horse for beginners and I couldn't even sit the canter. I tried a few times and I was bouncing so much. There were people that have been riding for like 6 months and they were cantering so so beautifully and I felt so stupid.

I don't think I can do it anymore. I really don't. I was a mess. I felt bad for my instructor for having to deal with whatever that was today. I left in tears and I'm not so sure I want to go back tomorrow for my next lesson.
